I have lived in Orlando over 12 years and this is the first time that I've ever been to this amphitheater. We had seats under the cover, but I would consider sitting on the grass with chairs because there was no bad view of the stage. The sound was fantastic. It was very easy to get to this location and to find parking and walk up. There are a lot of vendors for drinks and food and merchandise. We very much enjoyed the show. My first time seeing Marcus King and I absolutely would go back to this location. He is a phenomenal singer. Had great service at any of the bars that we went to. The only thing I would recommend is maybe if they can install some fans in the ceiling just to move the air around. The Saint Augustine amphitheater has large industrial fans to help circulate some of the air. Just a small suggestion. read more

what a great place for a concert! I attended the Heart and Soul music festival by Star 94.5.The parking was good and fairly easy. Security at the gate to enter was good and we brought chairs and backpacks. The event had port-a-potties , food trucks and a bar .The sound was amazing for each artist. This is located in large, well maintained and pretty park with lots of surrounding water and fields for sports . Great location and nice chill vibe! read more

As a live music fan in the Orlando area, I thought I had gone to all the venues. But when one of my favorite artists announced their solo tour, I was able to experience a new venue at the Apopka amphitheater. Our first impression was we may have taken a wrong turn, but it was just a little further down the track. But when we arrived, we got free parking and it was nicely organized for a smaller venue. The area itself was lovely, very scenic next to the water and a well kept little venue, albeit basic in terms of facilities, I have to say it was one of my favorite shows I've been to. The staff were all very friendly and the Gator Guards (the security for this event) were friendly and helpful. For the live music we went to there was two bar tents, a pizza truck and a merch tent. Alongside a small set of restrooms housed in a small building just nots side of the stage. When the event finished we were out quickly and on our way within a couple of minutes, albeit probably because we arrived early and got killer spaces! Definitely will return, great smaller venue and a beautiful November evening that made an outdoor show perfect. read more

If you attend a concert here and pay extra money for a seated ticket, just know that the staff allows people to walk and stand directly in front of the stage and they will block your view the entire night. You are better off saving your money and buying a lawn ticket. Also, I would recommend not arriving hungry. There was only one food vendor for a massive concert and the cooks sweat was dripping directly into the food and they had extremely unsanitary food procedures. The bathrooms were disgusting and ran out of toilet paper. I hope they can fix these things because it's such a cool idea for the area. read more

Great free concert venue! It was our first time here, and I was pleasantly surprised. The theater has covered seating and there was a nice breeze from the lake. There was also a lot of open lawn space where you can bring your own law chairs, food, and or coolers. The venue was clean with 2 food trucks, and they so a small selection of beer and wine at the built in stand (but it was only open half way through the event) while we were there. Seem like there are restrooms available, but we did not use it. Overall, nice venue at a park that offers other activities and walking paths around the lake. The Apopka Amphitheater is a really nice venue. We attended the Steele Pulse Reggae concert which was supposed to be from 6pm-10pm. The concert did not start on time. Once the rain storm rolled in around 7pm we were ask to leave the venue for our safety. The problem was we weren't allowed back in until almost 9pm. The opening performer sang for about 30 minutes followed by Steele Pulse until 10:20 pm and then concert was over! We enjoyed the performance but didn't really get our money's worth! read more

Nancy and I came out to the Apopka Amphitheater to see the Alter Eagles, an Eagles Tribute band back in March 2022. The event was free, if you arrive early enough, grab a seat under the cover of the Amphitheater. However, if you prefer to bring your own chairs, or blankets to get comfortable, it is permitted. Many guests were bringing their coolers as well. Additionally, food truck vendors are available if you want craft beer, funnel cakes, BBQ, and more. We were able to meet the Apopka Mayor, which was pretty cool. He seems like a great guy and is working hard to inform surrounding communities of all the activities taking place in their city. The amphitheater is somewhat hidden inside the Northwest Recreation Complex near Field 9A. This park is enormous! The 180-acre park has a 9-mile walking trail, 2 flag football fields, 2 lacrosse fields, 3 basketball courts, 4 multi-purpose fields, 4 pavilions, 4 sand volleyball courts, 4 tennis courts, 6 baseball fields, 6 full-sided soccer fields, 6 softball fields, an outdoor gym, and a youth/toddler playground area. I wish we had a huge park like this one in Sanford. We have some great parks but nothing quite like this. The biggest issue with getting to the Amphitheater is the walk. It's a good 10-15-minute walk from the lot to the seating area, so try to bring everything on one trip and get there early otherwise the walk will be that much longer. The Alter Eagles were a top-notch tribute band, you have to check them out if you get the chance. The amphitheater sound team does a great job making things just right. Not too loud but loud enough to hear all the performers with no one overpowering the other. I highly recommend a visit to the amphitheater to see a show. It is a great way to have fun outdoors with friends and family while keeping costs to a minimum. read more

We went to a concert there last night and it was incredible. I searched high and low for any information about the venue, rules, allowable items to no avail. So, this hopefully will help others. There is A LOT of parking but absolutely no signage to know where to go or where you have parked so pin it on your phone. Get there early. Don't park on the street or random lots. There are lots of other activities going on. Find the furthest area in the back and look for the amphitheater. That's where the entrance is. Again, no sign. Parking was also free. The venue, set and sound is spectacular. It is a massive grassy area along with a stage and covering with seats. The band is extremely LOUD so anything under cover for me was unbearable personally. Anything outside of the covered area will not allow you to see the band. There is a screen but it's still not that big. They need a larger, higher one. We sat on the grass on the other side of the sidewalk. Chairs are NOT allowed and anyone that brought them had to put them to the side of the entrance, take them back to the car or toss them. And, once you are in, you can't leave and come back. They made an exception with the massive storm as the covered area was too small and let folks back in after going back to their cars to avoid being drenched. I am not sure if this is typical, but there was no security check. NO open containers are allowed but as long as they are closed (including alcohol), it's all good. Many reviews said coolers are ok, but I didn't see any. We had a massive storm that delayed the show by at least an hour so most people were tailgating at or in their cars during that time. People had beers in their pockets or bags with no issues. I'd imagine that glass is not ok but I didn't see that. If it rains or had rained, the ground will be wet so I'd advise a waterproof mat under your blanket. We did a Yoga mat and that was comfortable. There were several port-a-potties and the lines weren't too bad. There is a hand wash station and a lady aggressively asking for tips which was annoying. Food is plentiful and numerous options there along with a lot of drink station (about 12 lines). They had pizza, avocado bowls, BBQ, burgers, sandwiches and so on. I can't attend to the taste as we didn't try it. There were also clouds of marijuana everywhere so that was obviously ok. And there was a booth that you could get a license apparently. So, overall a great experience and I'd go there again knowing all of this now. It was no issue getting out - we walked back with one song left. Also, everyone was friendly and lots of friendly cops securing the place. There was a medical emergency and at least 20 personnel rushed to help within minutes. We felt very safe. Here is what I'd bring next time - lots of drinks including waters, poncho (I didn't see umbrellas but had one in my bag), sunglasses, sunscreen, BUG SPRAY (they were BAD), cash, snacks, gum, allergy meds, sweater if needed, and the usual things you bring to an outing. Also, 'small' backpacks, string backpacks, etc. were common. Clear bags weren't required. Hopefully this is helpful. read more

Saw dirty heads here with Jake Owen and it was so awesome to be back in my hometown and that they have an amphitheater now one thing is in the pit by the stage. A nice place and building to hold an event in the Apopka area. The Apopka Amphitheater is an outdoor amphitheater located in Apopka, Florida, just north of Orlando at 3710 Jason Dwelley Parkway. This is conveniently located off of State Road 436, making it easy to access the airport and other attractions in the area. It is part of a larger sports complex that has several baseball fields, hills, and lakes. It is an open-air structure with a capacity of over 5,000 people. Throughout the year it hosts a variety of events including concerts, festivals, and community events. I am told that during events there is also a free shuttle that runs between the amphitheater and the nearby Apopka City Center but I did not see running on the day I visited. There is a large parking lot that can accommodate over 1,000 vehicles. The parking lot is well-lit and secure but it is about 100 yards up a hill from the structure. Once again, I have heard that there is a free shuttle that runs between the parking lot and the amphitheater entrance but I did not see it in operation when I was there. Being open-air, it had the added benefit of catching a breeze from 3 different directions while providing nice shade. It was a little dirty with some trash left on the ground by the stage and the sound when other events are happening at nearby fields can make for some challenging acoustics. Overall, It is a very nice structure for events located in a very convenient location. read more

I saw ZACH WILLAIMS concert here in July. What a beautiful setting. The covered seat venue was spectacular. The views were amazing and the atmosphere Lucious. It was in July. The covered view had a great breeze to combat the evening heat. I wish more Christian artists played and worshiped there. read more

DO NOT UBER TO THIS VENUE, if there is a big concert. We saw Dirty Heads 7/16, the concert was AMAZING, a great event. The venue on the other hand, highway robbery. After the concert was over at 10:30 we walked down to the parking lot to catch an UBER, no UBER'S to be found. Hundreds of people STRANDED, begging for a ride to get a car so they can come back and pick up their other friends. People were literally throwing cash at people desperate to get a ride home. The cab services were charging $75 per person! It took us 2 hours for someone to finally give us a ride to get our car and come back for the other 4 people with us. Oh, and don't go hungry. There is 1 place to get food called "Dirty south BBQ", $20 per plate. We were in line for an hour and a half to get a plate of rice and brisket that was 95% fat. There were thousands of people at this concert and they had 1 food vender. Anyways, hope this helps the next person to not get stranded. read more
