Awesome German Club. Must check the place out. It has been in the same building since 1910. The schnitzel is about as good as it gets. And I have never had a schnitzel dinner for 8 bucks. I also tried the spicy bratwurst, which is specially made for them by a local butcher. It was actually pretty spicy, and I'm a big fan of spicy food. They have around ten beers on tap, from genuine Bavarian to local crafts and national specialty brews. The fresh cut fries are great, and they also have a truffle parm version. The staff is great and there is live music all weekend. On special occasions, the upstairs FestHalle is open for oompah bands and dancing. read more

Visiting from out of town, invited as a guest. This place is absolutely phenomenal. 5+ stars. Inside was a jaw-dropping teleport to an authentic German beer garden. I had a tour upstairs, and it was even more impressive. I presume it's reserved for special events. Draft beer selection was equally impressive. 12 beers, six German. Ample jagermeister on stand-by. As for food, we ordered pretty much one of everything. Schnitzel was on-point, and I'm a harsh critic. Pierogies were a living commemoration to the lost art of home-made perfection. The fried Mac and cheese, although veering away from the authentic German experience, were also very memorable. We passed on dessert. Instead I shuffled out to the car dreaming of apple strudel, conspicuous only in its absence from this otherwise awe-inspiring menu. Prost! read more

Good draft beer selection including Belgium beers like Spaten and Hofbrau. Great Lakes and Southern Tier breweries on tap. This is a club so you need a membership. If you like good beer, good music, and I assume good German food (I didn't eat), then you should become a member. read more

I'm updating my review because some things have changed at one of my favorite places! The Club is now open Tuesday through Saturday and has a vastly expanded menu. They have salads, soft pretzels, new sandwiches, and various German dishes, such as schnitzel. There is also a beautiful new patio thanks to donations from club members. Best place around for good German Bier, craft beer and authentic German food. They've usually got great live music and the crowd is always friendly and fun. Membership when I was there was like $10 for a year but it's totally worth it. Be sure to ask to check out the upstairs Festhalle! read more
