The installers were well mannered and worked fast but thorough to get my job complete in a timely manner so that my dogs had a place to run free. They cleaned up any mess they made as well as went the extra mile to wipe everything down as it did rain the week I was installed so it did get quite muddy. I needed to replace a decrepit split-rail fence running across the front yard of my house. I tried locating a suitable contractor last year (2023) but came up short. This year I started earlier and met with several contractors in the hope that at least one of them would be a stand-out. I was in luck. I reached Adam Beal of Beal Fence. I was initially referred to him by a knowledgeable source. We spoke by phone a few times about my project and photos were sent to clarify the scope of the work. In time we met at my house in Lyndhurst so he could view the site and gather enough info to develop a quote. I like him right off and all the remaining interactions confirmed my decision to use him for the job. Over two days on the job he and his team were hard-working, open to questions and discussion, thoughtful in how they went about selecting all the materials and installing my fence and very meticulous in how they installed each post and rail. The end result was a fence so good-looking that a neighbor stopped by and eventually chose to have Beal Fence handle their project based on our fence.

How great was it when I found Fix-A-Fence to know that I was getting exactly what I needed--not just a "handyman" company but a company that knows how to do a wooden fence (or other types I'm sure) right! I called, sent a few photos, and had an estimate in hand the next day. The price was great so I agreed and was added to the schedule. Unfortunately for me we had many days of rain which pushed back my original date a bit but John was good about keeping me updated on a final date. Once we had a new date locked in he had a cancellation come up so I actually got booked sooner than planned (again, great for me!). The arrive on time (a little early even) and had the new gate hung, repairs completed on multiple sections, and a good once-over on the whole fence for some minor repair. Total time from setup to driving away was only a few hours and the work looks great! Also, I really appreciate the advice he gave me on a few "repairs" I had planned for them that he said could be taken care of in a less costly way (i.e. something I could easily do on my own since it was cosmetic work). Great to see someone willing to give me the best work at a very fair price. I highly recommend Fix-A-Fence and will gladly have them back for any future repairs (here's hoping another tree doesn't fall through my fence again!).
