Karin, the owner of aplace/antwerp, born in the sixties, has a passion for old, characterful things. Before running aplace/antwerp, she worked in communication. Already at a young age she started collecting various items & pieces of furniture which she found roaming streets, flea markets and, at a later stage, the internet. While her friends were wondering what she was carrying home all the time and what she intended to do with with all this stuff. She herself knew that, one day, everyting would make sense and find a place, at aplace/antwerp. As a kid she dreamed of running her own 'hotel'. In a small version, this dream came true in 2012. Her passion for interior design in combination with her innate talent for genuine hospitality and perfectionism, have resulted in a place that is truly worth staying at. Her cosy, warm and fun place in this stunning city can be your home for a couple of days... or for longer.
