My sump pump discharged a significant amount of water, which created ice on the street during the winter and damaged my lawn. I also asked them to address a small uneven area around my sprinkler system. The team explained that they would regrade the area, use my existing soil, and plant grass seed, which I was completely comfortable with. They completed the entire project in just one day. At the end of the day, they sent photos of the finished work to the owner. Although I thought everything looked great, the owner wasn't satisfied with the appearance of the hay covering the newly seeded area. Even though installing sod was outside the original scope of work and would have been a much more expensive solution, he decided to go above and beyond. The very next day, he sent his crew back with fresh topsoil and sod at no additional cost. They added topsoil around my home to improve the grading and ensure water would drain away from the foundation. They even moved my stacked firewood, added topsoil underneath it, and carefully put everything back in place. When they finished, they watered all of the new sod, adjusted my sprinkler heads to ensure proper coverage, and thoroughly cleaned up the work area. My yard honestly looks better now than it did before they started. Premium Drainage was not the cheapest quote I received, but they were also not the most expensive. What set them apart was their professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to doing the job right. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone looking for drainage work or landscaping improvements.

He was easy to contact and came to our home to provide a free estimate of our project. I really appreciate that he listened to our ideas but also gave his professional opinion on changes we could do. The process of scheduling to receiving the invoice to then getting the work completed was seamless. We had our driveway changed from asphalt to concrete as well as expanded. We also expanded our patio and added a concrete pathway from the front to the back of the house. Then we had a retaining wall built and had some drainage issues resolved. Lastly, we had flagstones added to the concrete. Adrian and his team not only did a wonderful job but went above and beyond to make our home look beautiful. I would recommend them to anyone looking for work done and plan to use them for future problems!

Later we found out they overcharge for all their work. Mowing ($144.00 weekly for 2 acres: with numerous planting beds and pool. So not a full 2 acres to mow): We have noticed a pattern every season with this company. Delio starts the mowing season with up to a three-man crew. Delio and another person on the mowers and someone else on a line trimmer/blower. First couple of jobs, okay, especially at the front of the property, while The backyard always seems to be average to poor. As the season progresses the crew gets cut back to two. Then no one but Delio shows up. At two men, the weed wacking starts to suffer and they barely clean hard areas off with the blower. When it gets towards the end of the summer it's only Delio working. At this point the job really takes a nosedive. Delio does an okay job mowing, but uses the line trimmer very sparingly. Lots of areas with missed spots or not hit at all. Especially places he thinks you will not check. Spring Cleanup ($3790): First issue, the price. after receiving this service from Orange for two springs and not being completely thrilled with the work, we contacted other companies to compare prices. Apparently, Orange was charging us nearly a thousand dollars more than most companies we reached out to (We have written estimates and e-mails to back this up). We presented a estimate provided by Patriot landscaping for $2800 for spring cleanup to Delio last season and asked if he could reduce his rate. He only agreed to deduct approximately $400. What we received for that reduction was decent pruning but skimping on mulch, terrible weed cleanup and poor overall planting bed cleaning. Since I thought he was a decent person and we worked with him a few times I decided to give this company one last try, it was a mistake. I contacted Orange this spring for the spring cleanup. It is supposed to include bed cleaning, de-weeding, pruning, edging, mulch and pre-emergent. We paid full price. What we got was: sloppy pruning. Terrible weed removal. What they call weed removal is to weed whack what they think you will see,(not pull the weeds) and cover it with mulch. The result of this sloppy and lazy practice, combined with the fact that they did not even put down the pre-emergent we paid for is weeds popping up all over. Now we will have to do the work Orange was paid for but did not do. Also, because I was sick for a week and needed to finish some yard work before Orange was scheduled to arrive. I called and asked if he could come by the following week. The owner only agreed to give me 3 days past the original scheduled day. Delio, not I scheduled the work for 5/12 & 5/13. On the second day, 5/13, Delio shows up, and Delio not I decided to reschedule and not have his crew work because it rained a bit overnight and the ground was damp. It did not rain at all during that day on 5/13 until late that evening. When I called about not showing up. He said it was too wet. I looked at the next day forecast (5/14) and there was a good to very good chance of rain throughout the day. During the phone call I expressed my concern to Delio about installing black dyed mulch in the rain and the damage it can do to surfaces (walkway, siding, white PVC railing). His reply was not to worry his guys will be careful and it will be fine. Sure enough, it was NOT FINE! His crew stained our walkway. Our hardi-plank painted light yellow siding. Our white pvc railing and our new white chaise lounge chairs. My wife and I, 3 weeks later, are still trying to remove stains. Moving on. That morning when his crew arrived and immediately began mulching in the rain. I took a walk around the back of the property. What I found was piles of debris they left and they did not clean up. There was also twigs leaves and all kinds of messes all around the rear of the house. I called and I asked Delio if his guys were done cleaning and he said YES. I told him, then we have an issue. He showed up to the site and saw the mess and talked to one of his crew. They had to stop mulching and clean the mess. I think they would have been okay trying to hide it if I didn't notice. At the end of the current job Delio blamed his crews' shortcomings on me. Said my complaining made them nervous and my rescheduling caused them to work in the rain. Even though it was Delio not me that decided to NOT WORK on 5/13 (no rain) and reschedule to 5/14 (rain all day). I shared my displeasure with Delio about the whole job and his solution when you are not happy is to tell you the issues are your fault and to quit. He left us with 2 to 2 1/2-foot-high grass that I had to push mow for over 7 hours. Because most mowing companies are at capacity, we had to hustle to find another company last minute. DO NOT USE ORANGE!!

Within a week Ernesto came out to do a site walk and get an in-depth understanding of our project and vision. We had worked with an independent designer on our back yard project, so we had detailed drawings, measurements and visual renderings for Ernesto to work with. Ernesto provided the initial estimate within a week. Ernesto worked diligently with us to provide what we wanted in our budget. Ernesto is a Class A licensed contractor registered with VA DPOR. He pulled all applicable permits and coordinated all inspections for our project. It took about 3 months to complete our 3300 sqft patio. The scope of the project was quite large: - 55 yards of concrete for the patio - Natural Stone Walls - 50 Tru-Scape Lights - 100-amp outdoor service panel for all electrical - 60 Amp disconnect for swim spa - Installation of 12 outlets - Installation of Ceiling Fan Pre-wires - Assembly and Installation of 12 x 24 Gazebo - Installation of Trex Steps/Rail/Lighting Jaime, the foreman for the day-to-day tasks was amazing. He constantly kept us updated on the project, discussed concerns/issues and provided input on things we may have not considered. The crew was professional throughout the project. They don't say no but find a way to make sure the customer gets what they want!! We told Ernesto he can bring future clients by anytime to take a look at the beautiful backyard they have created for us.

In 2021 they completed a waterproofing project which carries a 12 year warranty, and in 2022 they completed a patio installation which carries a 5 year warranty. As of April 22, 2026, VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions has not provided a solution to either of these problems. Our foundation wall was bowed before VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions excavated and waterproofed our home in 2021. We showed the bowed wall to VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions before the excavation began, and they recommended proceeding with the project without reinforcing the wall. We began to see small cracks in the foundation wall shortly after VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions completed the waterproofing. We showed the cracked wall to VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions before they installed our patio in 2022. VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions assured us that the cracks were not a problem. However, the cracks have grown substantially since then, and an independent structural engineer has confirmed that the wall is failing. In addition, the patio is sinking, the exterior waterproofing membrane is slipping, and there is a damp smell in our home near the cracked wall. In order to provide access to the cracked foundation wall for repairs, our patio will have to be removed, and the exterior of our home will have to be excavated again. Once the engineer's recommended repairs have been completed, the wall will have to be waterproofed again, and our yard will have to be regraded again. Finally, our patio will have to be reinstalled. We paid VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions to do all of this work in 2021 and 2022 because we trusted their professional opinion about our foundation wall. We now have to pay another contractor to do all of this work again so that our foundation wall can be reinforced. VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions has stated that they will not honor the warranty on the waterproofing project because the man who estimated the project is no longer employed by VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions. They have not provided details about how they will honor the warranty on the patio installation. We will update our review if VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions honors the warranties on their work. In the meantime, we cannot recommend VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions.
