All the apartments have new appliances (fridge, stove/oven, microwave, washer and dryer) as of 2012 as well. And there is always plenty of parking. But the service is awful. About every other month there is some sort of error with billing rent. They lose a check, they don't charge roommates equally on utilities, they applied "last month's rent" check to November when the last month is July. They don't return phone calls, and messages left at the front desk for the manager are also, often not returned. They've thrown a pool party and blasted the music. This was an office sanctioned event, but I live on the opposite side of the complex and the music was so loud it was rattling my windows. To begin prepping for new tenants moving in, they power washed all the landings. Unfortunately there is a good quarter inch gap between my front door and the floor, so all that dirt/grime and water was pressure sprayed into my apartment. I had a three foot by five foot puddle. No advanced warning was given, therefore I didn't move my door mat which was blasted to pieces, and when I went and told the guy he was spraying water under the door he just said yeah, it happens. I'm pretty sure it doesn't if you don't aim the hose at the bottom of the door. I live here because it is a no smoking complex and I'm allergic to cigarette smoke. My downstairs neighbors smoked in the bathroom, and the smoke came up through the vents. I called the desk to report them and they said there was nothing they could do, at which point I don't think they can advertise that they are non smoking. The washer went out, it took 3 days for their on site maintenance guy to come look at it, and then another 2 weeks before he came back and fixed it. I've been here for 2 years, management changed half way through and I thought things would improve. I was wrong, and I'm not coming back, nor do I recommend it to anyone.

Even before move in, the Alight staff has been extremely difficult to work with. I contacted them…read moresoon after signing my lease to find out whether it was possible to move in early as the listed move in date is extremely close to the start of class despite being a student only complex, and they said I would be added to a wait-list and would find out later in the summer. Beginning about a month before move in, I sent several emails further asking about this, and was told they didn't know yet still. Less than 2 weeks from normal move in, I was informed my unit would be ready early, and only at this point was told about an early move in fee of $150 + $20 per day early, despite paying the same rent for August as every other month. I submitted a formal complaint because of the series of passive aggressive responses and bad communication, and the response was another passive aggressive message, this time blaming their company. Because of these experiences, I do not recommend Alight Stillwater.

They have to call out the plumber on a regular basis to clean out these old plumbing lines. There are regular, dangerous gas leaks. Sometimes you can't take a cold shower or cook anything on the stove or turn on the heat in the apartment in the winter because they have to turn off the gas in order to try to trace the leak. There are plumbing problems that cause serious leaks and mold. There are electrical problems where some electrical outlets and lighting simply will not work. The old AC system causes a lot of condensation and mold. That old system gets knocked out everytime there is a lightning strike during a storm. It gets unpleasant in the summer. The have a revolving door for the maintenence people they hire. Almost all of them treat tenants badly and don't want to do anything. When I try to talk to people in the main office, they refuse to behave in a mature and professional manner. The manager called me "rude" to my face for trying to talk to him about unresolved maintentance issues. He doesn't want to be bothered and has lied to my face rather than fix problems. When I leave the main office after trying to talk to them, they start talking about me and laughing at me behind my back before I have even walked out the door. It hurts to be treated so disrespectfully by people who are supposed to take care of these problems. I regret staying here. I only did it because it was close to campus. I should have done something else.

My roomies and I made the decision to switch to an unfurnished apartment to save a little money. The staff promised that they would come pick up our furniture and move it all out within a week. It took 2 months (the entire summer) for them to do so, resulting in all of us paying higher rent for 2 additional months. We were promised upon moving in that all the appliances were new or had been replaced within the last 4 months. We soon found out otherwise; our ice machine did not work, a coil on our stove did not work, and our scratches in the appliances had merely been painted over and waxed to hide the damage. It took an entire month for the ice maker and stove to be fixed. We lived on the top story of one of the buildings, and the trap door to the "attic" of the building kept falling open. We eventually gave up on maintenance ever answering our service requests and replaced the catch on it ourselves. Our washer went out after a year, and it took maintenance 3 weeks before they would even come to look at it. You can only imagine the delay that followed in trying to replace it! As stated above, I lived at campus park for 5 semesters (over 2 years). Two months before my lease ended, we started having horrible insect problems. It was early spring, and for some reason, the top floor apartments all had bad bug issues. My roomies and I sprayed the apartment ourselves after, you guessed it, maintenance never answered our service request. That took care of the minor pests like ants, but we kept finding brown recluse spiders in our bathrooms and bedrooms. These spiders are poisonous, but the clerk we reported them to seemed unconcerned. We made 4 separate reports of the spiders and even turned in some of the dead ones to verify that they were dangerous, and maintenance still did not do anything. I personally bought a spider spray from the feed store and treated the apartment, then moved out. I'm not from Oklahoma, and my lease ended on a Saturday. If I wanted any help moving, I had to move on Friday. I explained this to management since I did not trust the clerks based on past experience (plus they are usually too rude to bother with). I was assured that a day early would not matter, given a final walk-through, and told my account was settled. A month later, I got billed for breaking my lease - a nice $3,000 fee. I never had any problems with the residents at Campus Park, but the staff and management clearly do not care for their tenants. The goal is not to make sure the quality of life is great or the tenants are kept as they should be, but to make as much money as possible, even if at the expense of the residents. I will never recommend any of the Campus Park locations to anyone I know. In fact, my suggestion to those searching for a place to stay would be to go somewhere else and not even consider Campus Park. There are lots of other nicer options in Stillwater and elsewhere that will actually value their paying residents.

Avoid This Place If You Have Visitors!…read more Absolutely ridiculous. This apartment complex thinks it's acceptable to tow VISITOR cars on a Sunday after just one hour of being parked -- during a casual visit to a friend. No warnings, no flexibility, just straight to towing and a $400 impound fee. These are broke college students, not criminals.  No human decency. It's one thing to manage parking. It's another to prey on young people who are simply trying to spend time with friends.  If you're thinking of living here, ask yourself if you want your friends to be afraid to visit you or worse, pay hundreds of dollars just to say hi.  Shame on the management for allowing this kind of predatory behavior. You've lost all trust and respect from the community. Do better.

He has had a broken AC for 9 months and has put in multiple work orders but the maintenance department won't fix it. They gave him a portable AC unit which barely works. He's put in other work orders for other issues as well, which have all either been not fixed, cancelled or the maintenance staff went to the wrong apartment to fix the issue. The management and maintenance staff are either clueless about how to run an apartment complex, are incompetent or just don't care. My brother has threatened legal action if his birds die due to extreme heat with no AC. The staff sort of twiddle their thumbs. Do not live here. Pay a little extra money and live somewhere worth living. Update: this is now a couple of weeks later, my brother finally got a new AC and not even a week later, it broke again. These people don't know how to run an apartment complex.
