Hilary first met Arash, my husband, and I in 2016 at my friends wedding in BI and we both knew right then that she would be our wedding photographer one day! We love her style. She's professional and approachable, and really works to understand what's important to the bride and groom. For our wedding we wanted a lot of candid photos and she did just that. We received our photos a few weeks ago and we are obsessed! They are beautiful and she did an excellent job capturing all the special moments of our wedding day. What makes Hilary really amazing is her attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond. We didn't want to do engagement photos but she still took the time to meet with us in August and see the place where we were getting married. She even did a fun, impromptu photo shoot so we had a few photos to remember the special day. Arash is Persian, so on the day of our wedding Hilary made sure to capture all the Persian decorations and the special moments during our ceremony that were really important to my in-laws. After the wedding, Hilary checked in with us frequently, keeping us updated on when the photos would be ready and sharing a few 'sneak peeks' every week as small surprises of what was to come. When the actual photos were ready, she sent us a handwritten card and sparkling wine to celebrate as we looked through them. She's thoughtful and puts a personal touch on everything she does. It makes a huge difference and truly sets her apart. Hilary and the work she and her team did for our wedding will always hold such a special place in our heart! We will continue to stay in touch and work with her, and I can't recommend her enough. She is a talent!

From start to finish, we were so pleased with her services. We opted to take advantage of Daniela's complimentary engagement session. We met out by Beavertail Lighthouse (apparently one of her favorite spots around town). This was really the first time that my husband and I had taken pictures of this nature so, of course, we were just a little anxious going into it all. Daniela made everything SO easy, fun, and relaxed. The very next day she sent over a few sneak peak pics from the engagement session. The photos were STUNNING. It made me even more excited to have her as my photographer! On the day of the wedding Daniela showed up and we just had a brief conversation about any of the pictures I specifically wanted. I also gave her a list of my "need to have" pics. She made sure that all of these were taken. Further, we did all of our family/wedding party pics BEFORE the ceremony, which was probably the greatest idea ever. My wedding party was actually able to enjoy cocktail hour while my husband and I snagged just a few more shots we wanted. I would also like to note that it can sometimes be difficult herding a large group of people and also fitting them into one picture with a cohesive look. Daniela was a master at this and, again, just such a sweet and calm presence. During the actually wedding Daniela walked around with a big smile on her face. When I received my pictures I was just floored. I knew that they were going to be good because I already saw the engagement pics but the wedding pics just blew everything out of the water. She captured every intricate detail so beautifully. I'm so grateful I hired Daniela! She is a genuinely kind, wonderful, TALENTED person. If I could hire her to take pictures for every single major (or even minor) life event, I would. We kept saying "let's be real life friends!!" all throughout the wedding LOL! She just really is one of those people that you love being around. Words truly cannot express how much my husband and I loved having Daniela as our wedding photographer. If you can snag her for your wedding, DO SO ASAP! It will be your best wedding decision too!!!

We chose to shoot in the South End to capture the beautiful brownstones and fall foliage, and the photos turned out even better than I imagined. Our situation was a bit tricky because we were working around a sleepy 6-month-old. Daniela kindly adjusted her schedule at the last minute so our baby could take a full nap beforehand, something any parent will appreciate! During the shoot, she gave us so much direction on how to stand, pose, and find the best lighting, which made the entire experience effortless and enjoyable. People walking by even stopped to say how great the photos were going to look -- and they were right. The images came out stunning. I've received so many compliments on our Christmas card this year, and it was hard to narrow it down to just a handful of photos because everything she captured was perfect. Daniela truly brought my vision to life and beautifully documented our memories in Boston. I can't recommend Sister City Photography enough for anyone looking for thoughtful, high-quality family photos.

My bridesmaids and I were all running late due to a mishap with our makeup artists, but no problem- Adam still made the most of it and took as many cute & fun "getting ready" photos of us before the ceremony! Then after the ceremony he made sure to go down a whole list that he had collaborated on with us and took pictures of every single family member and bridal combinations he could. He had us laughing and smiling the whole time! And he even helped my dad by being SO incredibly gracious and letting him take a few snaps of all of us with his special camera, too! My dad was so happy and impressed with Adam, and it warmed my heart to see how well he jived with us and the whole family. He worked amazingly well and so efficiently for all of the time limitations we had as we had a strict timeline. During the reception he made sure to come around and snap pics of all of us having a good time, dancing, including selfies for fun! Adam is super professional and so caring and understanding- he even took down a photo that I felt a little self conscious of my body with AS SOON as I asked him to, for our sneak-peeks. As a wedding photographer, it's so important to be sensitive towards your clientele and he really took extra care to listen to our needs. I am posting our "sneak peak" photos now, more to come later! Adam helps provide guidance you when you need it, handled my 452 questions I emailed to him like the pro that he is and he asks for input along the way to make sure he is providing the services you had in mind for your day. My favorite thing about his photography is that he really makes the colors pop. Our wedding was a St. Patty's themed event and the colors were green, white and gold. When flipping through the pix from our day you can really appreciate the color scheme which was so important to us. Also, we decided against hiring a videographer but, if you flip the the pix, I realized that it didn't matter anyway! Adam managed to get pictures from every angle. I highly recommend his services, you will not be disappointed! Thank you, Adam!

We had the distinct pleasure of working with Matt for variety of wedding-related events this summer. When we first met with him over coffee, his passion for his work, his commitment to each couple he photographs, and his talent were evident, as was his expertise in PVD/RI photography- the ideas he had were abundant and we left our first meeting feeling like we'd known him for years. When we shared with him that we were planning a non-traditional wedding with an elopement and a reception in Providence later that summer, he was immediately on board. He went above and beyond in capturing our engagement photos, our reception photos, and even traveled to Greece where he captured the most gorgeous photos of our elopement. Matt exceeded all of our (admittedly high) expectations and did so with such an ease, kindness, professionalism, and joy. He was FUN to be around. We became fast friends with him, as did everyone at our wedding, and will value this relationship for a very long time- we feel so privileged to have met him (and his lovely wife). He is the kind of photographer who will capture an intimate 2-person elopement with the same panache as a 90 person dance party and I have no doubt he would bring the same skill to a 300 person bash or a family photo shoot. He shoots with film, digital, and even some fun tricks (e.g. he used a Super-8 in Greece) and delivers a full photo gallery in a timely fashion. The best decision in our wedding planning was hiring Matt and we cannot recommend him enough!

He was accommodating to the fact that we are from out of town and scheduled a session while we were in town on Thanksgiving weekend. Although it was raining that day, Matt had thought of indoor and covered spaces that were urban and creative and the pictures came out great. His personality and creativity with a tough situation gave us the confidence that we needed for our wedding day photos. On the wedding day, Matt was with us the entire day, from getting ready at the salon/hotel to the end of the reception. All day, Matt was present to keep us calm when needed and invisible when we needed privacy for more intimate moments. He helped us come up with ideas for a gorgeous first look and was even willing to walk around the venue with us the week before the wedding to make sure that we weren't wasting time on the wedding day trying to find the best picture spots. At the end of the night, many guests mentioned how fun our photographer was. Matt sent us our wedding pictures in a very timely fashion (less than 2 weeks after the wedding!). They were absolutely perfect, an array of everything we asked for (some formal, some artsy first look pictures, formal pictures with our immediate families, beautiful ceremony pictures and lots of candids of our guests). The pictures were professional, yet personal and we couldn't have asked for him to do anything differently or better.

Ages ranging from 22 months to 80, we were NOT an easy group to work with I assure you. Yet, with Sara's skillful direction, artistic eye, professional expertise, positive attitude, and calm manner, over 100 shots were taken in an hour. Sara created a natural and as stress-free as possible experience for our family. She directed us quickly on posing with her expert eye and overcame the short attention spans of the children. She made us feel comfortable with her good direction and patience to get the best results. Thank you, Sara! We highly recommend Sara Zarrella Photography, an award-winning, nationally published studio. I am grateful that my daughter did the research to find her.

We met Sara for our engagement photos at our favorite restaurant and then out on a boat, and what could have felt awkward or staged was somehow completely natural and SO much fun. She made us feel comfortable almost instantly, understood us as a couple, and captured photos that actually felt like us. We left that day even more excited knowing she would be the person capturing our wedding. That feeling only grew throughout the entire wedding process. Sara truly listened to what was important to us. More than anything, we wanted our wedding photos to feel intentional and real. We wanted the little moments between the two of us, the interactions with all of our favorite people, and the pieces of the weekend that we knew would go by far too quickly. Somehow, she captured all of it. Looking through our photos feels like getting to experience the weekend all over again, including so many tiny moments we didn't even realize she was there to catch. Our wedding weekend also came with a nor'easter and more than a few changes to the original plan, and Sara handled every single pivot effortlessly. Nothing ever felt like a problem. Sara and her team adjusted, kept everything moving, and always brought the focus back to what actually mattered to us. She managed to completely run the show when we needed her to while still making everything feel easy, natural, and fun. At one point she was literally running through the wet grass with us in the storm to get the shot because we so badly wanted to get outside, and it will forever be one of my favorite memories from the weekend! I also really appreciated the way Sara listened to the specific images and ideas I had hoped for without ever making them feel copied or overly posed. I had shown her a photo of hers which I loved, and instead of simply recreating it, she understood what I loved about it and made it completely our own. That was true throughout the entire weekend. She took the things that mattered to us and found a way to capture them in a way that felt authentic to our wedding. And then there are the actual photos. I genuinely do not have the words. They are everything I could have hoped for and more. They are beautiful, emotional, joyful, romantic, and so completely us. Sara captured not only what our wedding looked like, but what it felt like. That is such an incredible gift, and something we will treasure for the rest of our lives. Her team, Stephanie and Katherine, were also absolutely wonderful and brought the same kindness, professionalism, and calm energy throughout the weekend. We felt incredibly lucky to have all three of them there with us. And somehow, after all of that, we received our photos in SO SO QUICKLY, which absolutely blew me away! I could go on forever, but the beautiful images are honestly only part of what makes Sara so special. It is the experience of working with her, how much she listens, how comfortable she makes you feel, how calmly she handles the unexpected, and how genuinely invested she is in capturing the people and moments that matter to you. Choosing Sara was one of the absolute best decisions we made for our wedding. We could not feel more grateful that we had the opportunity to work with her, and I would choose her again a million times over.

I have heard of people having bad experiences with photographers who are either too intense/demanding or too passive when it comes to taking the group shots but I must say Matt was perfectly efficient and politely directive. The videographers were present enough to capture the day fully yet we never felt that there were cameras in our faces. Our video came out so beautiful & looks so professional. A friend even commented that it should be the music video for "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran because of how well done it was. The one hold up we had was picking one of the licensed songs that they had to offer - this isn't a Blueflash concern since I'm glad they are paying for licensed song but the main website they use just didn't have some of the songs we had originally thought of. When I brought this to their attention, they immediately provided a second option for buying our own songs & ultimately newer songs were uploaded to the original website so it all worked out! Britt, who was our main point of contact, was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. I highly recommend using Blueflash to any future brides & grooms out there!!
