Very nice upscale local store with a great selection of clothes, shoes, fishing gear. Helpful staff with no pressure. We visit this tastefully designed store every time we're in the area. read more

Super cool out store in downtown Apalachicola they have lots of brand name, apparel, shoes, and an outdoor stuff. Good selection of flies for fly fishing. Staff it's very helpful. It gets busy so you hope your way around a lot of other guests. Overall, super cool place. Not cheap, but not any more expensive than anywhere else. read more

Descent selection of clothing and current day apparel. The few hand tied flies they had were nice with the cloisters, and top water poppers, few divers as well. I was hoping for more outdoor wear and fly fishing gear though. Especially for my Leslie. read more

Apalach Outfitters has a selection of premium outdoorsy, fishing type clothes for the expert, novice or beginner. They also have hiking/fishing shoes, candles, coffee mugs, T-shirts, etc. The clothes and shoe selection extends to men and women. However, this is not a bait and tackle shop; there are plenty of those nearby. Even if you're not into any type of outdoors activity it is still worth a visit to peruse the clean, well stocked store. Located in downtown Apalachicola parking is free and plentiful, as it should be. Several nearby restaurants and other specialty shops. read more

This was a cool store and surprisingly larger than it looks from the outside. Great location, smack dab on the corner in the historic district. Oh my gosh, there were so many cute sandals here that I wanted to get in this store! Reef and Rainbow are my favorite! I resisted the urge because it was so early in my Florida vacation to splurge, but if you got the moola....go for it!! They have something for every age, and clothing too! My dad and brother are fisherman and I know they also would have loved it. There were coolers, and hats, bait, and reels, sun protection gear, etc. Great gifts! The whole family could be content here. Worth a stop if you're in town! Arrgh...I should I have gotten a pair of sandals. Who knows if/when I'll be back! read more

Not a true outfitters store (very little of that) mostly an overpriced boutique. Bluewater in Port St Joe a much better choice

I wouldn't buy a shoe horn from these people. They are the rudest staff I've ever experienced.

I've never gone here and not bought something. Great selection and great customer service. If I go anywhere to shop in Apalachicola(for the past 10+ years) this is the first, or only, place I go. read more

Called last week regarding a purchase made - item was defective, bought several other items that were fine. Also, before I called them I had already contacted the manufacturer who informed me to call the store I purchased the item from. Spoke to an employee who was condescending and just rude, totally unwarranted and unnecessary. I explained that I had washed the item as directed and it shrunk. Not their fault, nor mine but they wouldn't hear it. Bc of Covid they will not credit or stand by the defective item. Umm, it's your store and these are the items you are selling - some stores are adding days to policy bc of Covid. Asked to speak to manager, they weren't there, left name and number. Manger didn't call on Monday so I called on Tuesday. Manger stated that the store couldn't credit or help. Now I'm out $70+ bc I bought a defective item. BUYER BEWARE!!! read more

We own a home on St. George Island and have always shopped at Outfitters and recommended and brought our guests to shop there. My husband bough a gift for me while in Apalachicola on a trip in April. When he returned to Nashville and gave me the gift none of the items fit. We knew we would be back on Memorial Day so I thought I would return them. Needless to say when I came I'm to exchange the items for the right size they wouldn't let me. It had been 1 month since the purchase. This was $400 worth of items and when we questioned them about the policy we were told it was written on the receipt that returns must be made within 15 days. After that no exchanges. We were shocked at the policy and the male clerk said sorry and said if we didn't leave the store he was going to call the police. This was in a store full of people. I have never been so humiliated as I was today and will never be back. I understand the policy but ushering us out of the store and threatening to call the police if we didn't leave? I gladly left and will tell everyone I know to NEVER step foot in the store. This is the first review I have ever written but hopefully this will help someone someone else from being humiliated by the rude sales clerks in this store and to be aware of 15 day return or exchange policy. read more

Great store with a good selection of outdoor wear....my entire family liked it including the kids (ages 8-13). Good name brands.

Love this store. It stock consists of high end brands so it is not a place to bargain shop but when you are in Apalachicola, I highly recommend stopping in. read more

We believe any retail store should hire sales associates who understand a certain level of respect and professionalism is required with all customers to achieve repeat business. The first day my fellow travelers and myself shopped in the store and purchased hundreds of dollars in (high-end) items, we noticed quite a bit of attitude from the female associate. We brushed it off, made our purchases, and went on our way. When one of the TWO YETI Rambler Colsters purchased was clearly defective, we returned to the store a day and a half later to exchange it. When speaking with the associate, rather than trying to help us she was more interested in arguing with us about what was wrong with the YETI (an extremely obvious defect) than helping us with the exchange with receipt in hand. I'm quite sure the YETI company would not have appreciated how their product was managed! When finally completing the exchange and leaving the store, four adult customers came up behind us in total disbelief of how rudely the associate had treated us. We will never feel comfortable spending hard earned money in this establishment in the future; nor will we risk being treated so poorly. read more
