A local recommended Best Nails to me and it was just a couple of minutes from where I was staying so I figured I'd check it out. I walked in around noon on a Saturday without an appointment and asked if anyone could do a dip manicure for me and was immediately told to pick out a color and have a seat at station 8. The nail tech I was given was named Helen. She was pleasant and efficient and got my nails in tip top shape in no time at all. I was impressed by the size of the salon. It's comprised of several rooms of nail and pedicure stations and at full staff it looks like they could probably accommodate a couple dozen people at once and there was enough parking outside for that many cars too. The decor was nothing special but the salon seemed clean and it was bright and welcoming inside. The price was comparable to what I pay in NH. It was actually a couple of dollars less but they also don't bother doing the hand massage with lotion like some other salons do. Although the do put lotion near the drying stations in case your hands feel dry after your manicure. I really liked Best Nails. I vacation in this area often so I'm happy to have somewhere local to pop in to get a mani or pedi if I need to.

After moving from the city last year I struggled finding a local place that would do a decent job and have decent customer service as well....I've been to places around here that act like they are doing you the biggest favor just to "see you". After dealing with acrylic nails for years I finally decided to have them taken off and try and have my own nails look somewhat decent. I needed a miracle ...I discovered they do the new shellac nails so I am not going in every other day for a polish change due to chips. The location is great, the salon has a great vibe and everyone's just so darn sweet and my nails look fantastic. Haven't tried them for hair yet but will be sure to use them for that as well....

I spoke with the owner and she said that was the price. It took an hour and 1/2 for a blowout and curls when normally something like this is 45 minutes. I don not have textured or difficult hair its shoulder length. I feel like someone robbed me or took advantage I wont be going back. I called salons in the area and none of them were 75.00 for a blowout and that was without tip.

I decided to wait in the relaxation area of the dressing room. The massage therapist never showed up for my appointment. Ten minutes after my massage was supposed to start, I checked in with reception to find out what is up. The massage therapist finally found me. She then told me my massage would be less than an hour because she had called my name in the sanctuary area and I did not show up...and assumed I was with the one of the groups. I found her overall tone very off putting and it felt like I was blamed for being late for the appointment when she did not really even try to look for me or call. Thankfully the manager let me reschedule the appointment for the next day at a discounted rate and gave me a complimentary glass of prosecco. I just feel like at a hotel and spa which is so expensive, that guests should be treated respectfully. I will go back, but will make sure it is not to the therapist who was rude to me.
