Chronic pain has dominated my life for many years. At one point I was on as many as eleven…read moredifferent prescriptions. Two months ago I stopped all pharmaceuticals and started a peptide regimen instead. It helped, but my back, shoulders, and neck were still in bad shape. In desperation I called Rivas Chiropractic. I'd been to chiropractors before and never got the results I wanted, so I was skeptical. I was even prepared to call as many as eighty places if I had to. Talking to Ace on the phone changed that. She told me how an accident led her to Dr. Rivas, and how life-changing the experience was for her--so much so that she became his assistant. She also mentioned patients come from as far as Guatemala to see him. Something about her story felt completely genuine. When I arrived, I was surprised to discover that Ace is actually Ace Vega, a local Las Vegas singer and entertainer in Latin music. We quickly realized we have many friends in common in the entertainment industry. That connection made me feel instantly at ease. Dr. Rivas is more than a chiropractor--he's also a massage therapist--but what impressed me most was how much time he spent on the mental and internal side of healing. While he worked on my body, he shared wisdom and techniques for framing the mind toward recovery. At one point he even had me meditate while he drove his hand into my stomach with a massage technique I'd never experienced before. There was some pain, but it was manageable, and within moments I was completely relaxed. He offered me a six-visit package that was very reasonably priced and completely flexible--no schedule, use it whenever I need. The relief was immediate. I felt tremendous ease, almost euphoric at times. The rest of my day I kept marveling at how my body was finally working the way it should for the first time in many years. I'm fifty-four and still have other issues--I may never be a hundred percent--but thanks to Rivas Chiropractic, for the first time in a long time I believe I'm going to be alright. Thank you, Ricardo and Ace. You're my people now!

I usually get an appointment for after work and doctor Corey has been who I have been seeing. A handful of times throughout the years I have thrown out my lower back. My lower back going out in the earlier years would only last for about a week. Then about two years ago, it was out for two weeks. This year, it was out for three weeks. Nothing seemed to be happening treatment wise. I couldn't roll over on the table. When I got off of the table, I hit the wall and was stuck there with back spasming pain for about three minutes. Doctor Corey sent me for an MRI of the lumbar area because something was definitely wrong. I do like this place mostly because of the sports therapy that is offered. For example, my lower back pain is mostly caused from my hamstring muscles being too tight and that pulls on your lower back. That Stim treatment with the giant heating pad is a game changer. I do wish that instead of ten minutes, it was more like twenty minutes. When you have extreme lower back pain, laying face down on the massage like treatment table feels relieving. This last time with the heating pad, Stim, and laying face down on the table I found myself taking a nice nap. When that ten minute timer went off and woke me up I was like, "Damn it!" I did ask if yoga was a good idea and Corey said definitely. I have been doing the yoga and found out that I am nowhere near limber. It does help quite a bit though. I have sent many people over the years to this place for treatment and have heard nothing but positive feedback.
