Now they are profiting off of my cancellation because they have my money and are still able to sell my spot to somewhat else before the league starts.

SBS Varsity Card is probably the best addition in my wallet and my newest best friend…read more With my varsity card, I have been able to get discounts and/or free admissions to various SBS events such as the Whitewater Rafting trip, the Cinco (or Uno) de Mayo Party, the SBS Birthday party, and the upcoming "I'm on a Boat" party, as well as free drinks or complimentary appetizers during VIP hours. Also as a Varsity Card holder, I get special invitations to private parties with free access and even free drinks! If you play on a league, you receive 10% off your individual team fee. The card can also be used at various venues for no line/no cover access and 10 - 20 % discounts on foods and products. Additionally, the card already comes equipped with $25 from BuyYourFriendADrink.com to use at participating bars! The best part is that I only have to carry one card to get all these discounts and special access, all the while doubling as my BYFAD card. Just a Note: SBS also offers a JV card as well with similar discounts and access.

I first heard about Camp No Counselors when I came across an article about them while scrolling…read morethrough Facebook in 2015. I had just started dating my boyfriend (now husband!) and suggested that we go. While it sounded like the coolest and most fun experience ever, I didn't know what to expect. What I experienced at camp was incredible - fun, friendship, laughter, and an amazing sense of happiness. It truly made me feel like I a kid again, but you know, with an open bar! At camp, you can do anything you want and be whoever you want to be. They have campfires, theme parties, a color war, talent shows, boating, waterskiing, capture the flag, and an epic game of Slip and Flip (for those of you who don't know what that is, it's a slip and slide to a game of flip cup), and while I was skeptical of slip and sliding as an adult, I've finally embraced it and can't wait to play again. We've been to camp for the past three years, and I must say, I love it even more every year. I'm able to completely de-stress, unplug, and unwind, all while spending time with old friends and making new ones! I'm booked for camp this year and I absolutely cannot wait! I couldn't recommend this camp enough.

I attended the Boston Camp No Counselor weekend this past labor day weekend at Camp Caribou…read more I'd been debating attending a CNC weekend since I found out about it around the time of its inception. This year, myself and 3 friends pulled the trigger. CNCs description sounded like something out of your wildest dream. Reliving your youth and camping days while mixing in all of the fun aspects of being an adult, while leaving the boring parts behind. If you were like me, you had doubts. How could it live up? Will it fall short of expectations? Will the cabins suck? Will one bad apple ruin the weekend? What if it rains? Is it worth the money? The following are my honest answers... Yes! It lived up. I was completely impressed with the cabins. Large, clean, individual beds- not bunks, private bathrooms inside as well as a cabin house with toilets and showers. As for the people... 120 people, drinking, partying, playing sports, beer pong... And not one fight all weekend. Shocker right? Everyone was friendly and approachable. We made friends fast. CNC did a great job vetting for this camp. The NonCounselors deserve a special shout out. Jacob our director put on a great show. You know when someone just does a job... And then when someone lives for the job? These people lived it. They truly made the camp a great experience with the right level of order while allowing us plenty of freedom. Well now, what if it rains?... Well, it did. Sunday during our color war. We did it anyways... No one had any complaints. Still a great time and Blue took home the gold! Is it worth the money?... The amount of food, booze, and monster energy drinks we consumed this weekend was worth it alone.... Id hate to see that bar tab. As for the experience... I finally found something that made me forget about work for 3 days... It was a rule. The activities were great, wakeboarding on the lake, and dominating at dodgeball made for an exceptional time. An impromptu games of Kings in the cabin was a great way to break the ice. No one was shy or reserved. We all chatted and it was truly like being a kid again, which is what you'd hope for. In conclusion, The people who already made up their mind to go didnt need to read my review. If you are someone on the fence... I hope our experience helps you to make the decision. We'll be going again. I miss it already. Thanks to the CNC staff again, the camp staff at camp Caribou, and all of the people we met. Camp No Counselors is awesome!

There are just so many good things to say about this place that I'm not sure where to start…read more First, it is not a "shelter" in the typical sense of the word, and the staff and guests do not refer to it as a "shelter". They consider themselves a "community", and act as such. There are NO lines for anything at the WLP. The women are served their meals at their tables by volunteers, and their materials are bussed for them once they are done, unless they choose to self-bus. The food. Oh heavens! WLP prides itself on serving nourishing, FRESH food. Each meal will have all nutritional requirements met, and there is always a veggie option. We're not talking canned goods or sandwiches here, folks. No, this is chopped and diced fresh veggies, prime cut meats, the finest ingredients. If you're a good cook and after you've volunteered a few times, they are happy to let you get in the kitchen and help whip up stuff. The resident chef there, Gina, is wonderfully creative in the kitchen (and very nice), and from time to time, other professional chefs from local restaurants come in to put together a meal. The WLP isn't jsut a food place, although that's the highlight of the day. It also provides the women with full time advocacy support to help with finding housing, food, or other services. There is a computer room/resource room that the ladies may use. There is also a nap room where women can go to get sometimes some much needed rest, and also a quiet room for just some peace, solitude, and maybe reading or reflecting. Women are also able to get various toiletries and clothing that they may need. They may do their laundry and take showers. The Program Manager, Heather (also very, very nice and competent) has done a great job of making sure that there are interesting activities for guests if they choose to participate: yoga, painting, field trips, knitting, etc. Since the WLP is run as a "community", the staff are INCREDIBLY patient with the women, and if a guest is being disorderly or breaking a rule, she is not immediately tossed out, but is counseled and given more than one opportunity to redeem herself by correcting her behavior. Throwing someone out is a last option at the WLP. WLP treats its volunteers as the valuable commodity we are. We are appreciated, thanked, and made to feel a part of the "team". Added Perk: They also have really incredible volunteer thank you events! I enjoy volunteering here. I learn something new and meet new people each time I go. I don't have a lot of spare time to volunteer, but when I do, the WLP gets me all the time, every time. It's important to know that this place could not be so great without us- the community at large supporting it through donations, volunteering, contributions, etc. The staff, Regina, Linda, Joanna, Lauren, Linnie, and Cheryl are terrific- go meet them! This is just a wonderful, wonderful place. You will not leave here without your heart being touched in some way.

I've volunteered there many times, and the experience was wonderful. The staff is as open, kind and welcoming to volunteers as they are to their ladies. The ladies? Wow.
