This store has a wide variety of items that are not carried by the other store up on the hill. The owner is always friendly.

Wow. I'm the first reviewer for a market that has been there 20 years. Must be because for a loong time now, nobody goes there if they can avoid it. We'd rather drive 30 miles to Temecula than give a dime here. The store smells icky. The goods are EXTREMELY overpriced, often out of date. The management is disagreeable. I dread going there. There was a time, way back, under a different management when everybody went there. Sure the prices were a little higher, but it beat driving, you could get a nice slab of meat from the butcher, and they carried a good store brand for your basic goods. You could get about anything whether you needed laundry soap, paper plates, cinnamon, The shelves were packed full with a good selection. Frankly, I don't know how they stay in business. Ask any Anza resident how often they go there and you'll wonder too. I hope one day it becomes what it was before, a busy little store that benefited the community, employed a few more locals, and is profitable to the owner management. read more

Anza Village Market is the only Fully Stocked Grocery Market in the entire Anza/Aguanga area..Pricing is reasonable and overall much better than their nearest competitor Circle K or the produce market, not to mention fast, friendly service compared to long lines and city type hustle at Circle K. If you ask Robert for the most for the least in any particular item or ask Yen to cut you a deal on their delicious prepared foods or best steaks you'll appreciate a taste of the great service available. In order to verify or negate some rumors to the contrary, we thoroughly checked, compared and reviewed this pace only to find that they should be the first and last stop when shopping. Awful!! My friend came out of that stinky store with a small bag of items. Cat food.. Conditioner.. Peroxide.. And a bag of candy. Came to $30!!! So she went to return it immediately feeling overcharged. Next thing i hear is screaming from the store. The gloved lady.. The owner is hysterically yelling at my friend.. Saying " we at war". WTH!?!? After about 2 minutes of this craziness from owner... My friend finally got her money back. Im still shocked by this behavior from a store owner in a small town. I would never support this woman. Id rather go without. Very ungrateful and nasty. Miss the old days of our little market. read more

We love shopping at Anza Market - they carry everything we need: almond milk, tofu, great watermelons (!), juicy baked chicken and shepherd's pie, and their excellent famous bacon. You have to go to the butcher counter for the thick-sliced, smokey-seasoned planks. Aside from a great selection of everything, the people there are cool and always leave you laughing! We no longer drive 40 miles EACH WAY to shop at chain stores, because our experience here is so much better. read more

Sure, Anza Village Market is a far cry from the grocery stores in Temecula or Desert Hot Springs, but Anza is a far cry from either of those places. I love this market! It's convenient, reasonably priced, and the people that run this store are true "friendly folk." Forget about "driven' down the hill," head to Anza Village Market. read more

Do not shop here! I went to by breakfast items for my family and I had trouble finding anything that wasn't over a week expired. I found a package of bacon that was over 2 weeks expired. Not to mention how much more expensive everything is. Capitalizing of the older community here. Should be ashamed to own that establishment read more

This place is dreadful. Everything is far too overpriced, the people are rude, the store is filthy, I've seen open product sit on the shelf for weeks, and worst of all, there are an absurd amount of out-of-date product on the shelf. I've been made ill by some of the meat I purchased there in the past. Stuff to watch out for are things like candy and frozen desserts since that stuff hasn't been checked in at least five years (2009 was one of the expiration dates I read on something in their freezer). Skip this place if at all possible. Try to get down to Temecula or make do with what you can at the stores up here that enforce date code checks. It's not worth gambling with your health just because the employees are too lazy to check the dates on their product. read more

Our experience at this grocery store was comical. We own a small business in Warner Springs and were told that the customer service was horrible in this establishment but didn't believe that it could be as bad as people described. The woman who checked us out at the checkstand (who was the owner) was obviously angry, rude, and completely devoid of personality. She obviously doesn't understand the importance of even the simplest of customer service skills in the type of business she runs. The prior owners (who are local unlike the current owners) were much more friendly personable, amenable and it made you want to come back to buy groceries. We will never come here again. read more

I have lived in Anza for a year now. When I first moved in, my well vendor told me "Don't buy any meat from this market. My family got sick on meat we bought there, and she mixes expired hamburger with fresh". Also, no hours are posted as she lives in Murrieta, and opens when she feels like it. Anytime between 9 am and 10:30 am. I only buy ice cream here, as buying ice cream in Temecula, it melts before I get home, even in the winter months. I use a cooler, but it doesn't help. She charges $8 for a 1.75 quart container. This market smells like old meat and is filthy. I asked her why she can't have posted business hours and she told me there is a lot of traffic between Murrieta and Anza. This is a BOLD FACED LIE, as there is no traffic except when there are events on Hwy 79, which is 2-3 times per year. Thank God there is a Family Dollar opening this summer, which will put this market out of business in 2 months after Family Dollar opens. As far as credit cards, you must buy at least $10, or she charges a fee, which is added to your bill. I think it's 50 cents. read more
