Im really impressed with ANZ's customer service. They look after you but aren't over the top or pushy. For some reason I feel much more at ease with ANZ then I do with any other bank. read more

The staff that work there are a bit older, more middle aged women who sometimes take a little longer to do things in between their chats, but they are friendly nonetheless. Sometimes there is a fair line that doesn't move that quickly, mainly because there isn't much staff working, or they are in different areas serving longer inquiry customers. Also, their customer. Also may affect the time spent there, as they are of the older variety usually too. Savings and Loans are renowned for their car loans.

Since all the branches got rebranded and overhauled a few years ago, I have had the pleasure of visiting this one weekly or fortnightly ever since. There is always someone to greet you, but not be overbearing or fake, and then there is never a wait to see one of my usual tellers. The tellers are always friendly, complete your transaction swiftly and never push any accounts or offers on you if they don't think it will suit and benefit you. I have regulars who I visit and usually have a nice chat with, and it is genuine, not forced. I always make the effort to visit this branch over others closer to home and more accessible, because it has left a nice impression on me and kept me coming back.

I always chose to go to the Norwood branch of NAB. It is quite old-school decorated with carpet and wood. It is also very small, but I like it like this. It feels more personal, less clinical and sterile. The workers are all very helpful and friendly! I think this is rare for banks, I rarely talk to people that seem to be enjoying their jobs. Although it is small you don't have to wait for long, it feels like everything is done a lot quicker here.

Every now and then though, I have no choice but to physically go into a bank to get something done and this NAB is the branch of my choice. Don't be fooled by the small size of the building and the few people behind the counters, they're actually very fast workers and I never had to wait for more than 5 minutes to see someone. The people working here are very friendly and helpful too and may have contributed to me not disliking banks so much anymore.

If I could have given it 3 and a half I would have. The staff here are great. There is have enough room to form a proper queue. They have a separate area for business transfactions with a proper enquiries desk. None of this ticket machine crap that's everywhere nowadays (although I am sure it will come soon enough) you just walk in, get in the line and wait to be called. You can even enjoy whatever is on their plasma screen tv facing the line while you wait. You have a query you go to the enquiries desk, and talk to a person who can either help you or get the right person to be able to help. That's why I love this branch of ANZ more than some others - oh, just had to put them back up one star again after writing this part - it's the old fashioned real style customer service. That's what it's all about. Why they want to change from this style to make them less user friendly is beyond me.

You need a bank wherever you go, and we needed one here, so we went to NAB on the recommendation of personnel where my wife works. We met with a new account officer named Angeliki, who was beyond awesome, and promptly opened a bank account. I don't think she'd ever seen such an opening deposit (filthy rich Americans that we are) but she reacted with aplomb the entire time. She gave us solid advice on currency conversion, directed us to other bank-operated services, and generally made the entire affair a DELIGHTFUL experience! We are pleased.

Whoever invented these things are a God. I just threw in about $50 worth of silver and gold coins and with no hassle. No more do we need to count $10 and put them in those annoying plastic bags. They're genius. The lady who I gave my ticket to was very rushed and disinterested, but at least I was out of there quickly I suppose. No on likes spending more time at the bank than they need to. All in all, really not the best branch.

The last time I was in there one of the old ladies, who is obviously a regular, was showing the counter staff pictures of her grandchildren and they were genuinely interested and took the time to spend some time with her. I have also been offered cake on at least two occasions recently that I have been in here: Talk about good old fashioned service! The bank must really look after the staff here because they seem to really enjoy their job. It is also comforting to hear a Scottish accent in a bank because you know your money is being well looked after. I have also had occasion to go in and talk to specialist staff about accounts for my children and financial services when overseas and other such things. Each time the staff have gone above and beyond to help out and are really interested in hearing all about the travel plans. The staff seem to have first hand experience of travel ling and financial requirements and recommendations. In all the years I have been coming here I have never had a bad or average experience - Well done guys!

Today I even added more services to my account, due to their lack of fees (unlike my old Credit Union). This is a very small credit union, and there aren't many staff working here - but they're fantastic!
