Tidelands Health Rehabilitation Services at Pawleys Island…read more I was looking to increase my strength and my endurance after three surgeries over two months for breast cancer and one major infection that hospitalized me for a week. I found myself very weak and not able to keep my balance well. I was fortunate enough to be able to get stronger with the Tidelands Rehabilitation Services at Pawleys Island. I cannot say enough about Danny, Jen, and Melissa. Their knowledge, kindness and professionalism got me back on stronger footing. Twice a week I came here and did not miss an appointment. I learned so much how to live a better lifestyle towards health. I listened and followed instructions. I did my homework as well. They guided me and I took part in my rehabilitation. We worked together to increase my strength and endurance. Danny is such a joy and helped me so much. She answered all of my questions in a way I could understand. Danny shared her knowledge and experience during our sessions. My work out was challenging and designed specifically for me. Each appointment went by fast. Danny's humor is so quick. I told her I think I have a bad memory but I can't remember. We laughed often during my workout. If you work with Danny you are in great hands. Jen has a smile that lights up a room. Her encouragement made me feel as if I could do anything. Jen challenged me to do my best. The workouts became a routine for continuity with rest periods in between. . The repetitions were increased as my body got stronger. Jen laughed often during the time I was there. I told her the word for one of the days was "OVERDOING IT ". We try not to do too much too soon. If you are Blessed to work with Jen bring your best! Melissa has such a big heart. She made my work outs very enjoyable. Melissa gave me a lot of help towards my healing and getting stronger. We talked about my goals and progress. My favorite line from Melissa ...." I Give you permission to walk!" I always needed that extra OK to try something or do something new. We kept laughing about that moment. Melissa went the extra mile and answered my questions about nutrition and effects of extra weight on the joints. When you are pared up with Melissa ...be prepared to learn a lot. Everyone there was so kind to me. I was treated with respect and kindness. My balance increased standing on only the left leg from 2 seconds to 15 seconds. On my right leg I can balance for a full 30 seconds when I started I only could do 3 seconds. I celebrate life everyday. I thank this team for taking wonderful care of me. Check them out for yourself.

Also, most of the members that regularly go there are very friendly as well. Everything is always clean and spotless. The lap pool, hot tub, sauna, and steam rooms are fantastic and the temperatures are always at a perfect setting. They have a racket ball court as well. A special shout out to Adel, Nancy and Laura who always brighten your day with a big smile. A special place with special people. My wife and I love it.

The classes are great. They are a mix of cardio and strength training as well as Pilates and Yoga. The trainers are awesome. With the help of Ann and Tyler I have been able to drop some weight and I am getting stronger everyday. I can now do a pull up with a little help. My grip is getting stronger and I am able to do the Treadmill and take a class in the same day. If you haven't tried Anytime Fitness you really should.
