I joined this gym in July 2018 and didn't realize I signed a contract thru March of 2020. I can't get out of this contract. So now they get their money each month and don't really care if you go or not. I really liked this gym but now it is remodeled and not for the best in my opinion. I think the owner remodeled on what he likes. The manager, Cindy, is hardly there. The gym doesn't seem to be cleaned often, they are always out of wipes. The cubby holes are not always cleaned out. There are shoes and water bottles that have been there for months! And the signs that management leaves for members are ridiculous! It is like being in grade school! I will not return to this gym anytime soon. Good luck if you do join but just beware you are signing a long contract without being explained what you are signing. And the manager can say she goes over it with you...she does not!!! read more

Anytime Fitness Chaska and Excelsior locations is a great place to work out and a friendly staff and enviornment.

Being a fitness professional, I have many gym memberships. I familiarize myself with facilities and their staff so I can refer my clients to the correct locations. People often ask me, "Where do you workout?" For four years I have told them, "I have several memberships, but my favorite place is Anytime Fitness in Chaska." Despite living an hour away, my fiancé decided to join. He wasn't able to get to the gym during staffed hours, but made known his intentions via phone to the owner and manager. They played phone tag for four days. In the meantime, I brought him with me as my guest until Saturday's staffed hours when he was able to speak with an employee. The employee said the owner was unavailable (apparently misunderstanding our request) and we left, intending to reach out again on Monday during business hours. Monday morning... 4:45 AM...16 mile one-way drive... LOCKED OUT. I had unknowingly received a call/voicemail from Manager Cindy on Saturday, just before noon, stating I had until 2:00 PM to call her back or my key fob would be deactivated. (I don't check voicemails from unknown numbers on weekends. I work during the week so I can weekend on my weekends. I understand Cindy didn't know this, and they have policies to follow, but ONE call and an ultimatum window of less than three hours is absolutely ridiculous.) This isn't the first time I've been disappointed, which is unfortunate. Their trainers seem really nice and they have super friendly cleaning staff. They expanded into slightly more space a couple years ago. Their equipment is new. It's just entirely too bad their customer service is severely lacking. I have met many awesome people while considering this "my place" for years and the most frequent complaints are about the music and the customer service. Beyond that, it's a fine gym. read more

My family recently joined Anytime Fitness and did so here in Chaska. Cindy was very professional and talked us through our options. It was clear and simple to get started. Then she walked us through the place, answered questions, set us up with FOB's and we got started. The best part is that after 30 days we can use any Anytime Fitness. Horrible experience with the staff. With this being my first gym membership under a contract, I just listened to everything they told me. Tried canceling my membership when I first got it, simply because it was very expensive and I found something cheaper, I was told no. A few months later, I had decided I wanted to move out of state. I tried seeing if I could cancel once I moved the 15 miles requirement(which was much further seeing that I was moving out of state), was told absolutely not. During this time I was also told that Chaska did not have access to my account anymore because it had been transferred to my new club out of state. I just got settled in my new home this week, and went to talk to the manager of my new club. I was then told that my account had not been transferred, and that they didn't ever have access to my information. I was also told that I could cancel my membership at anytime, as long as I paid the cancellation fee. My new club informed me that the manager at Chaska had lied to me simply because they wanted to continue taking my money. My new club associate expressed how upsetting it was for him to hear about the way they had treated me, which is what made me realize "wow, they really didn't care about me at all". I was also paying $20 more at the chaska club, than what my new club charges, which upsets me now that I know the type of finessing they do to their paying customers. Had I known I was being treated so poorly by chaska staff, I would have transferred my membership long ago to be treated better, and save some extra cash. 10/10 do not recommend this location. Save your money and be treated fairly elsewhere! read more

Chaska Anytime Fitness is really the best option if you are looking to join a new gym in the area. It was recently remodeled and expanded, and has so many options for weight training as well as cardio equipment. My husband and I used to work out at Lifetime and quit not only because of the price but because of the staff and its members alike. We have been members of Anytime for 2 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. You can't beat the price! Anytime Chaska has the best management that I have been lucky enough to get to know and call my friends. Cindy is so friendly and knows her stuff. She is very personable and always makes the gym going experience fun when I am there. John is the just awesome. He trained me before my wedding last spring/summer and kicked my butt! He also knows his stuff and will make each training session worth it! I would recommend this gym for anyone-it will work to meet your specific goals. read more
