Jane and her staff from Anyone for Tea Catering created a delicious and memorable baby shower that I had to put together in less than one week. They were absolutely INCREDIBLE. Their attention to detail and service orientation were quite impressive. We were running behind with the decorations, and Jane's staff (who arrived to the site early) jumped right in to assist us with our decorating tasks. All of the guests were impressed with the overall execution of every element of the tea party. The food was pleasing to the eyes as well as the palate. The variety of tea sandwiches was perfect, and the sandwiches were kept moist but never soggy. Jane really knows her stuff! The mini scones were delicious, as were the lemon bar bites and the assortment of French macarons. The fresh berries were sweet, and the quality of the teas served was truly excellent. Since we are in the midst of summer, I requested iced tea and lemonade in addition to the hot tea service; and Jane attended to every detail (including simple syrup for the iced tea). The eclectic mix of china tea cups, saucers, and luncheon plates was a lovely touch that made the event especially memorable for the expectant mother. I was extremely pleased with Jane and her staff, who were always cordial, helpful, and solicitous. Oh my goodness! We hired the fabulous Jane and her wonderful staff for my friends bridal shower yesterday and everything was SO beautiful! We had a lovely 30 person afternoon high tea this summer for a BabyShower any it was a hit because of Jane & Anyone for tea? From start to finish Jane was a joy to work with. This review is almost a year overdue. I have thought and thought about posting this and I have ultimately decided that it still bothers me so much that I really do need to give my review. I have a charity and wanted to have a tea for the fabulous women that are a part of my foundation last August. Jane was the person that I wanted based on the reviews and also because she was exactly what I wanted. I will say that everyone had a wonderful time and the food and party did not disappoint. What did disappoint was I was very clear multiple times that I am allergic to strawberries and no strawberries should be in any of the food. On top of that I know of two more guests also allergic to strawberries. Also I read in one of the reviews that someone had paid the extra $2.95 per person for the iced tea package and they loved it so I added that to my order. Forward to the day of the event when Jane and her folks were prepping the food. All of the scones were together in one big pan and she asked if I wanted to try one. Yes I do! I noticed that there was red in the scones and asked what kind they were. STRAWBERRY! Now none of the scones were edible to me and my guests allergic because they were mixed together. Then they put out the jam. Red jam. STRAWBERRY again. Then I noticed that she brought in the iced tea and they were gallon jugs from Kroger! Jane went out and bought apricot jam from Trader Joes and some plain scones but for a $1,400 event I was not happy. She had some recent challenges in her life and apologized and said when she got back from her trip she would make me some scones and bring them to me. Also when the ladies were cleaning up after the party they took the extra food and tea to their car to take it with them and I made them bring it back. I paid for this food so it should have automatically been left for me. I have waited for almost a year for Jane to do the one thing she said she would do to make up for this and she never followed through. This was a very large expense for my charity and I am still upset that the one thing that I asked not be included that day was so prevalent that I couldn't eat one of the primary items that I hired her for in the first place. I found myself writing this as I plan for my event again this year and am saddened that this happened last year. She is the only person as far as I can tell that does tea party catering and I obviously can't use her again. read more

Jane and her staff put on an amazing tea at my house for 19 young girls (6 year olds) and 18 adults. Food: The food was amazing (definitely get the scones and kid's bite size brownies!) and there was plenty of food for the group. Wendy did a great job with the quantities of food she provided ... She recently catered our daughter's first birthday at the Santa Monica Carousel as we were hosting a Mary Poppins tea party for 40. Not an easy task seeing that there was no kitchen facility!
