So quick and efficient, they answered questions I had and told me not to worry about anything but getting better at that moment. Their professionalism and work made me feel so secure and relieved. Obviously I don't want to have to go there again, but if you live in the area, know that you can count on them in case you need medical attention!

So I went out to my car and cried (I'm pregnant) then remembered I had already purchased a test online, I was going to have done on my own that Friday. So I went back inside and did the walk in feature at check in. At 4:45, a woman came out and told me I would have to leave, they didn't have time to draw me. I explained my appointment was canceled because of the stat order but I already had an order in the system, could they please just draw me, it's a time sensitive test and they're always quick. She said no and I would have to leave. So I did, took my order to IU who had no problem doing the draw before they closed and were super understanding, friendly and helpful. I've done many draws at Quest, but I won't be having any more done.

I came in for a one hour glucose test - which is where you drink something they give you, wait an hour, and then get your blood drawn. When I was called back initially, the phlebotomist asked which arm I wanted to use, to which I responded, "Don't I need to drink the thing first?" And she said, looking at my paperwork, "Oh. Yeah, I'm glad you said something." ...me too! Why was reading my paperwork not the first step? Sadly, this pattern continued. An hour later, when I came back for the blood draw, a different phlebotomist was seeing me. She took my blood and then said, "Let me go get your paperwork so I can put your label on here." When she returned she explained that she needed to take more blood - because my paperwork indicated that my doctor wanted other tests done. So I got stuck twice. Again, it was pretty irritating that checking my paperwork was not one of the initial steps taken with either person. Like I said, I've never had a good experience here and, after yesterday, I will not be returning to this location although it is the most convenient one for me. Hopefully other locations are a little more on top of things.

She had the perfect personality and caring spirit for this type of profession. She made me feel very comfortable and relax while obtaining my blood. This was my first time there and I will definitely be returning. There should be more people like Makia. I think this is how her name is spelled. She has the perfect personality and work ethic that is needed in this field. Especially when you have to have to have blood drawn. Her supervisor has to be extremely proud of her. I told them it was supposed to be $50 and they gave me the option of either paying the $65 or not getting it done here. Also, my school requires a specific form. They insisted on also doing all the things on their standard form that aren't needed for my school. Finally, I arrived early for my appointment, was put in an exam room, and waited 45min for the provider to see me. Altogether, I spent over an hour to get a couple signatures on a form for my university. Definitely do not recommend.

Let me tell you the Oak Street in Ft Wayne is a crock. Never ever was I treated so poorly by medical professionals in my nearly 60 years of life. The medications my regular Doctor had prescribed for years was not offered at Oak Street. I was told I had to see specialists. My whole point of going to Oak street was because they say d they offered n house to save me money. What a crock. I was paying 4 times what I was before because suddenly. Had to specialist to get medications that I get t at my family doctors for years. So right off, the ads were deceptively ve because se the type of care I was told I would get wasn't offered, and as for r care quality, I was made to feel belittled the way I was talked to I felt I was being talked down to instead of on equal level. Lastly the office experience. I try to find something positive to say but I do not think I have ever been 100 percent disappointed and dissatisfied in medical care. From the office staff, to the nurse and especially the doctor it was as awful as I had ever experienced. I can honestly say I have never walked out of a doctors revisit because of being treated ed so poorly until oak Street Health.
