When my shared neighbor, a dry wall contractor, pitched using Gus instead of who I had did my side fence I went on here and saw the 3 stars. I really looked and saw negative reviews were 8-9 years old. Based on recent reviews, his recommendation, and similar estimate to what I already had I agreed to use Gus. I also had Gus give me an estimate on my gates and that's where he truly came under the other quote I had. Gus showed up 4 days after agreeing on the estimate on a 102 degree day and knocked down the old fence and installed the back fence and prepped for the gates. The next day they finished the job way earlier than I thought they would. What a huge difference (see one picture of the old fence vs new). Gus is very personable and honest. The work is really well done. I highly recommend and a great value. read more

We had an older gate repaired/updated, a new side gate installed on the other side of our house and a lattice topper installed along the top of two sides of our backyard (it was already on the 3rd side). The project took two days and the price was reasonable. Would definitely recommend this company. read more

Great prices, quality work and quick results! Enough said!! Or you can keep reading. I live in a neighborhood where I share 5 different neighbors and to replace my backyard fences it would take a miracle. WELL I was able to line up such a miracle so that all 5 neighbors were willing to be part of the fence replacement process and after a few quotes we all agreed on this company. What a find in this company! We were all very pleased with the work and have all used them more than once! One thing tho...they are very popular. Call and schedule your project sooner than later. read more

AnyFence was great: we needed the fence replaced between our house and the neighbors'. Amanda came out and explained the entire process and gave us an estimate. On the specified date her business partner Gus came out with two workers. Day 1 was the removal of the old fence and initiation of project. Day 2 was the building. Very professional, clean, on time and respectful of both properties. I highly recommend this business. They didn't overcharge either. You can see a portion of the fence. Beautiful! read more

Was very happy with how fast I got in the schedule, the price, quality of work and how nice the guys were. This is the only fence company I'll use. read more

We used Any Fence to replace our back yard fences. Amanda made an appointment for the estimate, she was on time, very professional and engaging. She gave a fast and fair estimate. The crew showed up at our home on time and ready to go. They kept us updated on the progress. At the end of the day, Gus the forman told me what ti mb e they would arrive the following morning. I recieved a call from Gus the next morning telling me his lumber supplier was short the number of fence boards needed to complete my project. He offered to upgrade the boards to get the job done. I was pleased with the entire process and most of all the fence! I highly recommend Any Fence! read more

Made appointment.. person seemed nice enough on the phone taking my request for an estimate. Said they had the day wide open. No call. No show. No estimate. read more

Lowest price I had quoted. Skeptical of their work but decided to let them do my double gate. And I'm happy they did. Played a little bit of phone tag, but it's understandable when your running your own business. Once they laborers were working on the gate they were very accommodating on any changes I wanted done, for example I wanted to add another cane bolt and another hole in the concrete. Work was competed in a timely manner and organized. Although they did leave some trash behind, it wasn't anything serious. I would recommend this company to friends and family. read more

job well done. very efficient. overall happy and will recommend. glad we chose them.

Amanda was my direct contact for the whole project and she was great. She came out soon after we initially called, and gave us a quote for fence replacement same day. I got a quote for staining and rototilling some dirt areas the next day. Very fair and competitive pricing. I booked them immediately as it is first come first serve, so I was able to have them start the following week. Whole job done in three days! Head worker Guss was very nice, and whole crew was professional. I LOVE my new fence. A whole new side yard fence. Demo, haul away of old fence, setting new posts, everything done very well. Such craftsmanship. Stain and rototilling done lovely as well. I was very satisfied for the correspondence and work completed. Would use them for another job in the future for sure. Thank you Any Fence! read more

I would 100% recommend Any Fence to anyone who is in need of a new fence or fence repair. They were super quick to get out and give me a quote that was not only reasonable, but said they could have it done in one day. The work was awesome, and finished in that day as promised. Recommend all day!! read more

Again, zero stars. After notifying Any Fence via mail that we plan to file a small claims suit, Richard, the owner, agreed to pay half of the damages and promised to drop off a check within a few days. Two weeks pass, no check. We placed a follow-up call shortly thereafter--Richard spewed a million excuses and, again, promised a check in a few days.... Here we are three weeks later, and, guess what, no check. Judge Judy here we come. read more

Richard with Any Fence gave us a quote for a fence that was blowing down in our backyard and a fence for our dog run. Timely service, showed up promptly and gave us a competitive quote. We hired them and had a new fence within days. Professional work and looks great. They used high quality materials and were very good at what they do. Fast too- only took a half-day to complete. Highly recommend! read more

HORRIBLE WORK AND ATTITUDES. They installed a face and gate at my residence. They dumped concrete and scraps in my bushes and the gate didn't align up. There were different size boards used and the many ti.es I called about it they would come by or return calls. I finally got them to return after a year of calling and he lady blamed the poor service on her dad?!? She admitted the work look poor and different sizes of boards should not have been used and when she sent over the worker he wouldn't do it without payment. PLEASE CONDOM THIS AND OTHER WARNINGS ON HERE BEFORE MAKING THE SAME MISTAKE!!! *****NOTICE ME AND ANOTHER HELPER HAD THE EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE ON THE SAME ITEM***** BEWARE! !!!!!!!! read more

I had a great experience with this company. They showed up on time for the estimate, gave me a fair price on the spot, showed up when they said they would, completed the fences in a timely manner, what more can you ask for? I spoke with all of the guys, nice guys, they have all been building fences for a long time. I recommend them. read more

I needed a complete fence and added a r/v gate to the side of the house, they used top materials, worked fast and cleaned up everything in the work areas. This was over 250 feet of fence with a double wide intrance gate with steel frame. This work was done over 2 years ago and I still haven't had to adjust the way the gates hang, perfect work at a reasonable price. Thank you Gustavo, Richard and crew. read more

I had Any Fence come out and give us an estimate on moving a double gate on the side yard forward several feet. They gave us the bid and we scheduled the job for June 29th. No workers ever showed. My wife called and left a few messages inquiring what had transpired. No one called back. Since it can take several days for them to return a call (learned that from scheduling the estimate) I waited a week and called myself and left a message. Nothing...no returned phone calls. read more

Any Fence - Great job! - Fences & Gates Near Me

We used Any Fence to replace the old leaning fence we had for our entire backyard. The walk through, estimate, and time frame went well and the install itself looked great when I first arrived home. However, when I looked at one of the gates they replaced on the side of the house, I noticed that it wasn't aligned correctly where it latches. Basically it was straight at the bottom, but as you move upwards to the latch, there winds up being a difference of about 3 inches...essentially a V shaped gap. I planned on calling them but decided to look at the rest of the install. While the fence itself was up to par, I noticed that they didn't just trample on multiple plants, but instead just ripped them up and discarded them. Also, the drip system I installed along the entire back fence was sliced in multiple places which had to be repaired and my glass bird bath was smashed on the ground. Further, piles of dirt and cement rock were left over landscaped areas that took quite a bit of effort to remove. Overall, the installation was very sloppy and they made no mention of any damage to me before they left. That weekend I called them asking if they would at least come and fix the gate. They stated they would first thing Monday and that it was done by a relative that was in a hurry. Monday came...no show. I called them and left a message each day for the next 3 days. No callback...no repair. Now this is the same place that offers a 5 year warranty, but they won't fix a gate they just completed days before. Bear in mind I was never rude to them, I wasn't receiving any discount, and I wasn't pressing the damages they did. Still they simply decided to ignore me now that they had my money. My neighbors two doors down had planned to use them as well to do their entire backyard but will now look elsewhere. I suggest others do the same. read more

Do not use them!!! They do half ass work!!! We got our entire fence done, and we noticed they only used 2 nails per board. One side of the fence had 4 nails in each board. We complained and he said he would come and fix it but he never showed up. We also wanted "board on board" so you could not see through the fence, but he spaced the boards to far apart so after the boards dried up and shrank, you can see through the fence. He should of known to space the boards closer so this would not happened. He used the minimal amount of nails and boards he could possibly use. After calling him several times, I just gave up. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE WORK!!! read more

Got an estimate from Richard and everything seemed good. Got the neighbors involved and have never heard from Any Fence since. Have never answered the phone or returned my numerous phone messages. Worst customer service I have ever delt with! read more

We've used Any Fence in the past but has been several years. Process went very smoothly. However this time called to have an estimate for additional fencing. Left a message on office machine few days later someone called and scheduled appointment with Amanda for almost two weeks later. Well waited and waited all morning and a no show. I called and no one answered. I did leave a message. So far no call back and still no answer from office. I know they say they have office hours but I don't think they do. Probably just check messages off and on. read more

Didn't show up for an appointment for an estimate so I called to see if they were coming. The said yes, and apologized, and asked if a later time would be ok. Once again a no show without even a phone call. Don't waste your time with them! read more

Our side fence blew down in the wind storm right before Thanksgiving. I called Any Fence, they did the quote right after the holiday and replaced the fence the following week. Great quality redwood. Friendly, professional workers. Hauled away the old fence, installed the new and cleaned up the place better than when they started. To top it all off, their quote was the lowest of the three I got and they truly did a great job. Although I am located in Benicia, they came and did the job here with no extra expense. I am one happy customer! read more

I have used Any Fence on no less than four houses I have lived in or flipped. They were always quick, efficient, clean and best of all the least expensive. Any fence just completed 2 side fences for me in Vacaville, CA and did an outstanding job. I discovered that the owner, had recently, and suddenly, passed away. The family, and most importantly, the crew led by Gustave are continuing on. Richard's passing may be the cause of recent bad reviews. Amanda, Richard's daughter, has taken over the scheduling and business office. While she was very helpful with scheduling a short notice replacement because of neighbor and new renter problems, I did have some problems with her returning phone calls promptly. Before every job I have always sought a second bid. Any Fence has always been the least expensive and I have never been disappointed, in any way with the price, or product they produce. read more

Amanda and her team responded quickly to a fence job in Fairfield CA. Great workmanship and followup. Will definitely use them again for more fence work. read more

Really disappointed in this company. Amanda came out on time and gave us a quote which was for a really good price. We asked for 2 side gates to be redone and 35' of board on board fencing. We were told that they would be done same day. The work was scheduled for this Thursday to start at 8:30AM. Amanda sent us an email the night before telling us that her team would not make it until 10:30AM. Well 10:30 came and went. We left phone messages with the company, emailed Amanda asking if they were still coming. No answer, no email back. A whole day wasted waiting and waiting for them to show up but they never did. Friday morning we get a second email explaining that they experienced some unforeseen circumstances but assured us that they would be out at 11AM this morning to do the job. Well its now 1PM, no fence company, no phone calls or emails. Here you have a customer ready to give you $2k for work and you can't even bother to give them a call or even explain the situation. To me, this company is unreliable. If they do show up I am sending them away and giving my business to someone who actually cares about their customers. read more

Exceptionally poor customer service. I do not recommend this company. I had a gate and small fence section replaced. The workmanship was satisfactory. However, two days later the gate latch failed due to stripped out thread on a bolt. I have called repeatedly only to get an answering machine and no return call. The "ten year warranty" is obviously worthless. read more

Any Fence did a great job on a basic dog eared good neighbor redwood fence. Amanda gave a very competitive quote no fuss right over the phone. Gus and his crew were out there on time and completed the fence in less than 2 days. The quality of the work and materials used were very good. It really enhanced the appearance of the yard. I have used their service on another property and that was more than 5 years ago and the fences are holding up quite well. They can get busy so sometimes you may not get a quick response on email or phone but if you can overlook that you can be happy with the job well done. read more

I had Richard build my fence about four years ago. I noticed that one of the fence posts has become unstable so I called them to come give an estimate to repair it. I was assured they would come at an agreed upon day and time so I left work to be home. They never arrived. I called again but never got a call back. I was perfectly willing to pay for the work. I would think after spending several thousand dollars for a new fence I could expect more. I have to say I would not recommend them. read more

Richard from Any Fence is horrible. There work might be great, but they leave there mess behind. They don't answer or return phone calls. Took two weeks for them to clean mess at our property and other neighbors backyard. read more

Last May I had Any Fence repair and stain my fence along with constructing a new gate. Repair and stain appeared good. We have an older fence with a lattice top and the service guy convinced me to let him build a round top gate without the lattice as he said it would be stronger. Bad mistake on my part. About two months later, our HOA rejected the round top gate as their rules state that all gates and fences in this area of Hiddenbrooke must be the same. So I tried to contact Any Fence, both Amanda on her cell phone and also the office number. Amanda said she would have the service guy call me that night. I have NEVER had a call back. I've left numerous voice mails on both numbers with no luck. Also, some of the boards on the fence that were stapled are now coming loose so I have to have those redone also. These people have no idea what customer service is. Unfortunately, I would not recommend them for any work of any kind. I've never left a negative comment online about anybody before but these people deserve it. read more

Richard the owner came out to check the fence 2 days before they did the fence, also called on the day to say they would be a little late which I appreciated. They did a beautiful job on my fence replacing 130' of fence and also built me a new gate. I got two bids and they were 3 times lower than another fence company I called. They picked up after themselves, were friendly and professional. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new fence. Date: 5/10/12. read more

Our neighbors all decided that our 20 year old fences needed to be replaced as they were falling down. Any Fence was hired to replace them all at once. They postponed the initial start date but were prompt on the rescheduled date. Work was done quickly and the fence looks great and seems sturdy (time will tell). Work was exactly as described. Workers were not at all careful about plants with many plants trampled, lunch trash was left around as well as cigarette butts. Good work, fast, accurate estimate but sloppy workers. read more
