One of Jeanette's greatest strengths is her ability to create a safe, supportive space, especially for kids around our son's age. She quickly earned his trust, which is no small feat, and he feels comfortable opening up to her in a way that has truly helped his growth. In addition to her work with our son, Jeanette's parent coaching has been invaluable. She has helped us better understand our child and given us thoughtful, practical guidance on how to approach specific situations. She combines open, insightful discussions with meaningful education, equipping us with tools and perspectives that we continue to use every day. We're very grateful for Jeanette's care, professionalism, and dedication, and would highly recommend her to other families.

I am going through a contentious divorce and initially saw her with my husband twice. But he didn't want to go anymore and I was seeing my own therapist through my insurance. That therapist behaved unethically at times and I just felt uneasy with her. In fact the three therapists I tried through my insurance were all subpar. Willing and able to pay cash for a good therapist, I asked Angie if I could see her individually and I am SO happy she said yes. She is so gifted. She is enthusiastic, compassionate, an astute listener, very present, and lets me guide the sessions but also asks timely questions and makes insightful observations. She really seems to get me, is so supportive, and I feel like I'm making really good progress with her help. I'm also grateful that she does EMDR. The last session was powerful in helping me let go of a lot of anger and anxiety and have more neutrality about the abuse I experienced from my husband. She has a knack for knowing when it's the right time for EMDR and when I need time to process more immediate concerns. GTSD also provides very good customer service and I couldn't be happier with my experience there.

I don't recommend this treatment approach who's looking for a solution to one's problems. It was very frustrating when I presented my concerns to the reception/therapist in what I was looking for, which was more CBT/Trauma focus. The therapist said she was still opened to work with me even though my interest was not EFT which I expressed it was not suited with me with my past experience. I also filled out a form prior to treatment and clearly expressed that I wanted a solution to my concerns. However, the session was not productive and she kept on asking how I felt. Which I already explained how I felt. It felt like we were talking in circles. At the end of session, she expressed that she is not a solution treatment therapist. It was very frustrating because I clearly expressed multiples over the phone and on the form that I want a solution to my concerns but she expressed that she was still interested in treating me. This action demonstrated to me that she was more concerned in building a caseload when she knows that we weren't a good fit.

I sought couples therapy hoping for a balanced, trauma-informed, forward-looking space. Instead, I…read moreexperienced sessions that felt biased, invalidating, and emotionally unsafe. We worked with Julie. From early on, I felt positioned as the "problem" in the relationship, even while being told, "you're not the problem." Rather than helping us examine our dynamic as a couple, the therapist repeatedly focused on my upbringing and behavior while minimizing or overlooking my partner's role. Much of the guidance relied on oversimplified communication tropes ("your partner isn't a mind reader") and outdated gender stereotypes, including extended commentary about women expecting to be treated like "Disney princesses." This framing felt dismissive and unprofessional. When I raised feeling dismissed by my partner, instead of addressing his defensiveness, the therapist redirected the conversation into hypotheticals about how I'd feel if he made a female friend and didn't tell me. This felt inappropriate and avoided the real issue. The therapist also leaned heavily on the "love languages" framework, assigning each of us a category(a reductive, non-evidence-based approach that sidestepped deeper work around accountability, repair, and emotional attunement). Throughout sessions, I felt cornered when expressing legitimate concerns. My accountability was repeatedly reframed as a lesson, while my partner's behavior was softened or excused. I left the final session feeling labeled, scolded, and emotionally impacted. Couples therapy should foster mutual accountability, safety, and understanding. This experience did the opposite. I would not recommend this therapist to anyone seeking equitable, trauma-informed couples work.
