I stopped here on a short layover in the Frankfurt airport. It was the only food option that was open in this section of the terminal. I got a raclette that was pretty tasty but I felt the price was a little steep. There was only one person working, but so it was very slow. They do have a nice seating area though.

Food and beer on tap were great. There was a broad selection and I even grabbed a butter pretzel for the flight. The only issue I had and the reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of 4 is that the beer I received had maybe 5 4 cm of head. I watched several beers poured after mine and they were all proper. The sandwiches we had tasted great and were reasonably priced for airport food.

Apple cake and a cafe latte

3 stars considering Anton & Anni in the context of airport food, and 2 stars anywhere else. I had a 19hr layover in Frankfurt Airport and decided to make my way to the terminal/gate for my connecting flight a few hours prior to departure; there were so many appealing bars, restaurants, and food stands throughout the airport that I did not expect anything less from Terminal Z. Big mistake! As of Sept 2021, Anton & Anni was the single food establishment open in the terminal (there was a convenience store open, but that was it). I did not want to leave and go through passport, COVID test documentation, proof of vaccination, etc. checks yet again, so ended up eating both breakfast and lunch here. Due to COVID-19, Anton & Anni is takeaway-only and has a limited menu -- a few pre-packaged salads, muffins, and pre-prepared sandwiches. For breakfast, I got a cafe latte and a slice of apple cake. The cake, though incredibly cold, was decent, but I had really wished they had some healthy and/or savory breakfast options like fresh fruit, egg sandwiches, etc. For lunch I had the caprese panini -- again, just OK -- not anything I would voluntarily order outside of an airport setting. Prices were definitely inflated, but not as bad as I was expecting for airport food. In a non-COVID world, I think it could be a nice setting to sit down with a glass of beer & a pretzel.

Wanted to switch it up and eat "German" food. There was a McDonald's next door. Not sure if anything different than others. Nothing to knock you out of the park with but it serves your needs.

Bavarian Deluxe Burger

I had the Bavarian deluxe burger and it was okay. Slightly less than okay. Maybe I'm just not big on Bavarian food, the only really good thing was the bread. But what made me so mad is that I ordered a €10 Bloody Mary and it is literary just tomato juice poured over vodka. Might as well be a well drink. Ugh I'm still mad thinking about it.

Crappy service and crappy food! To top it all If it's at airport prices. I should know better!!!

Not bad for airport food and prices are reasonable compared to other airports. The weisswurst was good but the pretzel was cold. Meatloaf was more like bologna meat, not terrible but not what was expected. Potato salad and mustard was good. Lots of seating and decorated like a beer garden. Beer on tap was very good. They have a small selection of beer, wine and mixed drinks.

Took a long time for take out. Service is mediocre. They should say how long the order would take. More than 20 min. Stressed.

The left-hand side of the restaurant, on the other hand, has waiter service. We sat in the sit-down area which is pretty small, eight tables or so. There are several other restaurants in the same area including a pizza joint and another German restaurant which is slightly bigger. We had the wiener schnitzel sandwich which comes with breaded chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and mayo on bread. We ordered a side of fries which seemed to come from the other German restaurant close by. The sandwich was mediocre at best. It seemed like the chicken had been sitting out for a while as it was a little mushy and lukewarm. Pretty disappointing as we were expecting a fresh sandwich from a sit-down restaurant. The other half of the meal was great. The fries were straight out of the fryer and crispy. We also got a heaping amount of fries which was a surprise given portion sizes in Europe. A German beer to round out the meal wasn't too shabby either. German beer is always good. They offered them in three different sizes.

Both were made to order. The muesli was delicious with an assortment of good fruit. The latte was fine, not the best I've had but good for an airport joint. The place is clean and easy to find as it's in terminal 1 at the intersection of many gates. Bottom line...good place to have a quick bite or drink between flights. I definitely recommend the museli and the service is excellent! Pros Great service that's friendly Museli is great Good location in terminal 1
