The restaurant was super busy and had lots of take out and catering orders as well which was a good sign. Our server told us it was busy and our order may take longer than usual; it was worth the wait! We got fish with black bean sauce first and were pleasantly surprised. The fish dish was filled with fresh peppers and onions with tender white fish in a delicious brown sauce and served with rice. Excellent dish. Our second dish was seafood ho fun (flat rice noodles). This dish was served fresh and piping hot with shrimp, squid, fish, green veggies, and black mushroom along with other ingredients server on top of a bed of broad rice noodles. We were pleasantly surprised at how well prepared this dish was and the amazing wok hei flavor. The menu is extensive and we will definitely be back again!

Surprised no one has written a review yet - it's been around for about two years. They have your usual Korean dishes like Soon Dubu Jigae, Kalbi Tang, Dolsot Bibimbop ... and Korean/Chinese dishes like Jja Jang Myun and Jjam Bong. Portions are perfect for one meal (don't expect leftovers). Reasonable prices ($6.99-9.99). JJAMPPONG - $7.99 It's hard to find good Jjam Ppong in Atlanta - most either no longer have much seafood or their broth doesn't have that distinct smoky flavor. This one is good - tasty broth w/ squid, clams and mussels ... no shrimp. Today's version though was super almost uncomfortably too spicy. My dad loves really spicy food but even he couldn't handle it. I had heard there's some new trendy super spicy hot pepper - maybe they're using this pepper. Also served w/ daikon and raw white onions w/ black bean sauce. KALBI TANG - $7.99 Broth had great flavor. Also 2 big beef bones - the meat tasted good. Also a few radish, egg, green onions and cellophane noodles. Not a huge portion but perfect size for lunch. Came w/ 3 banchan. OJINGEO BOKKEUM - $7.99 Very good flavor. Wish there were more squid - many of the sauteed white onions could be mistaken for squid. Still enjoyed very much. Also served w/ 3 banchan (kimchi was very fresh and tasty). Other dishes tried in the past - DolSot BiBimBop ($7.99 - very good), SamSeon JjaJang ($6.99 - good; supposed to have seafood but ours had just squid; salty but tasty sauce), SunDuBu JjiGae ($7.99 - good; very spicy); and JjamJjaMyeon ($8.99 - 1/2 JjaJangMyeon, 1/2 JjamPpong; very good). Great place to eat before/after grocery shopping at Mega Mart.

I was told Mega Mart may have some good lunch options, so when I paid them a visit and wandered around, I stumbled across a dumplings place first, before walking behind the dumpling shop and finding Sura Korean Bistro. Sura has a seating area for meal options and this bistro specializes in both korean and chinese meals. After having the menu explained to me by staff, I decided to try their JEYUK BOKKEUM ($7.99) also know as Spicy pork with steamed rice. Service was quick, staff were friendly, and more importantly, food was good! Admittedly, the food wasn't very spicy, but each bite was packed with flavor. In addition to the slices of pork came carrot, onion, and other veggies, all sprinkled with sesame seeds. Accompanying the main entree were banchan that included sprouts, kimchee, jalapeno, onions, and soup, all of which were flavorful and fresh. Steamed rice rounded out the entire meal. Pork slices were tender, not chewy and again, delicious! Rice went well with the pork and the veggies. For 8 bucks, it's a decent amount of food for a meal. Whether you're shopping around Mega mart, or you're just in the area looking for a snack, you can't go wrong stopping in to Sura Korean Bistro.

Simply put, I have been in love with the concept of Plaza Las Americas ever since I first…read morediscovered it back in 2018 when they were just getting started. It was easy even then to see the potential. Their motto is: "Estamos construyendo el nuevo centro para la familia latina mas cerca de ti!" which means "We are building the new center for the Latin family closer to you!" While I am not of Latin blood, I love bringing my family here all the same... especially to the food court! Over the last few years several shops have come and gone, but the total number of vendors seems to be at an all-time high. You can find everything from insurance to Quensetta dresses as well as a dozen Latin restaurants ranging from Mexican & Venezuelan to Puerto Rican and Salvadoran. My current favorite items are the chicken tamales @ Star Bakery (Salvadoran) and the AH-MAZING grilled steak @ Villano's Tacos. *** There is a decent video game arcade and a play area for kids that reminds me of the indoor playland we actually PAY for our kids to play at near Mall of Georgia, but here it's FREE!!! SHOPS INCLUDE: Women, Men & Children's clothing, lingerie, REAL leather boots and Western Wear, shoes, accessories, hair, nail & eyebrow salons, esthetics, jewelry, and electronics. There are candy stores, fragrances, a soccer sports store, mobile phone providers, a truly unique candle store and more. But the best part for me was the food court. You'll also find services such as alterations, insurance, printers, real estate, import/export, taxi, consulting, prom/wedding attire, florists and party favors. THE FOOD COURT FEATURES: Tacos and burritos, pizza, arepas, paninis, shawarmas, baked goods, seafood, Mexican ice cream, fried corn, Venezuelan hamburgers, tortas, gorditas, tamales, empanadas, cubanos, enchiladas, sopes, grilled steak, soups & stews, chicharrón, baleadas, smoothies and so much more! There is even a Dominican place called Mamajuana (hahahaha), but I have yet to catch them open. Must be my scent! There are traditional restrooms as well as individual/family restrooms (complete with a lounge) and a giant water fountain. The floors are a nicely stained concrete with a glossy finish. There is an OUTDOOR gated turf soccer field with its own Agua Buena League where adults or kids can compete with other teams in a fun and safe way. There is also an event hall and Kids Club where "little ones can enjoy different activities, learning different crafts, music and even cooking recipes." SERIOUSLY, WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE about Plaza Las Americas. *** FINAL THOUGHTS My one complaint is nearly everything is written in Spanish and not English friendly. I get I'm probably not the target audience, but I want to be supportive all the same. Many of the vendors are also English challenged, which makes asking a question or making a purchase a tad difficult. But if you can persist, the mall is very clean, safe and most of the vendors are super friendly and eager to please. I absolutely adore what they are building here... a community! Highly recommend coming for a visit! 2022 / 80

Out of all the food stalls in the food court, this one was the most popular when I went. It was pretty lively in the back corner, which is where this place is located. I thought the service was fine. The workers are there to get work done, not to perform outstanding customer service. I got the Crispy Pork on Rice! I love getting this meal at these Cantonese/Chinese places. I found the pork belly to be really tasty. There was a nice marinade over the skin and meat, plus the skin was pretty crispy even when some of the pieces got a little too moist inside the container. I thought there was a generous portion of the crispy pork in my meal. There were some mustard greens in the rice plate which added nice variation in taste. I also got a small cup of complementary soup on the side which I did not try but it did smell good. Overall, I think that my meal was pretty good. I would probably come back if I am ever inside the Great Wall Supermarket.

Chinese food is based on the region the dish originated in China and not some nod to some general who never even had chicken... Ping's Place is the second stall when you walk in on the left. There isn't anything really much in terms of service. You walk up, locate the meal you want, drop you money, and they'll call you when your order is ready and you go and grab it. It's cafeteria style much like any food court. The ambiance isn't really anything to write home about either. it's a food court or more or less, a food strip with five different food stalls tucked on the left side of The Great Wall supermarket. So let's talk food. I've been hunting for a good Chinese beef noodle soup. Needless to say, Ping's isn't that bad. The soup itself was a bit bland but there was a richness to it that I found delightful. The noodles were al dente. The meat, tender as tender can be. It did have an odd irony smell to it but I did put white pepper, chili oil, and Chinese black vinegar into it so that might be something that gave it that weird iron smell but more or less, it was decent. Probably not the best beef noodle soup but better than some of the other joints I've had that claimed to carry Chinese beef noodle soup. I do recommend you check it out if you're already with sitting in the middle of a bustling Chinese supermarket.
