While we waited, we munched on standard chips and salsa. The plates came out hot and steaming, and smelling good. My fajitas were served on a traditional small iron skillet and looked delicious. The taste was pretty good however, the meat -- even the chicken -- was unexpectedly tough. I took most of it home in a box and ended up tossing it in the trash. My husband said the barbacoa was horribly greasy. Again, the taste was okay but the meat swimming in grease was just too much. He said the beans and rice were fine. In addition, we were seated near the bathrooms... and wow, did it ever smell like it! Not what you want to smell when you're eating dinner. Unfortunately, I don't expect we'll be returning to Mi Fiesta. I really wanted to like them but it just didn't happen.
