I've always loved antique, second hand shops and charity shops. I like to have a good old mooch around and see what brings in a blast from the past. I stumbled upon this shop as I was walking around King's Heath and what greeted me was a cornucopia of great finds! This shop was like stepping back in time and offered up memories and yearnings to buy, buy, buy! The old bureaus, the ornate sideboards, the gilt framed mirrors, the old leather beaten trunks and aluminium chests, the many picture frames at the back of the store... If I could, I would've bought them all! I had my eye on an old piano complete with it's original receipt but sadly it had sold :-( and a stainless steel soldiers mask/helmet. The chap in the store was kind enough to allow me to take a few photographs. I was so happy to be in there, I could've spent all day taking photos...The spools of old cotton, the mannequins and even the collection of old cigarette packs caught my eye, so I snapped away...What a great shop! I can't wait to return and see how this business venture captures the minds of customers who are keen on interior design, design, vintage/retro or just the general customers who want a good browse or trip down Memory Lane. read more
