Antique Corral - Green chile bacon cheese burger & fries. Not pictured chocolate milkshake and corn dog. So good!! - Antiques Near Me - Cortez, Colorado

The place and the woman working there would not let us in with our service dog. Not only do we have a leash and collar that are marked we also have a certified card designating she is a service dog. But she said we had to leave and my dog wasn't a service dog. Totally against the ADA federal compliance. We will be filing a formal complaint. Oh by the way, she had her own dog in the premises NOT HANDICAP ASSECSIBLE read more

This review pains me to write. This antique store had an amazing inventory, and I was truly in heaven looking at everything until I came across a very small selection of racist items. They have a sign up saying they aren't racist (segregation signs not racist???) and that people want to collect them because they're historical. I know that they're trying to say that they aren't racist and that they're just selling them because people want them, but it doesn't change the fact that these are racist items. If it's about history, donate them to a museum. I have a hard time believing anyone who isn't racist would want these items. It is disappointing to see them prioritize a small selection of racist items for those collectors rather than realizing that removing them would make more people feel welcome in the store. It is a truly incredible antique store with so much to offer, but we won't be back because of this. read more

There arent even adjectives to describe this place. Quirky. Nostalgic. Amusing. It's so deceiving from the outside. But take a took inside! You'll wonder around for an hour. You'll reminisce about what you remember from your childhood and you'll find something you'll want to take with you. This has got to be the most organized antique store I've ever been in. And dont miss the 50's diner set up in the front. You have to stop here!! read more

The store was nice and there was some cool items. The older lady behind the counter was very rude. Even made rude comments to me when I left the building because I didn't want to purchase something she wouldn't negotiate on. If it was ran be someone nicer and more professional it would be a great place to shop. If you want to be treated rudely and disrespected this is the place. read more

Rude, insulting, and accusatory. The old lady and her family refused us access to the shop based on disability. Refused to discuss. Refused to look at official paperwork. Not the first time the people in this shop show a racist adjacent attitude. read more

Really nice store. New and used and old. Great staff, friendly and helpful. Fair prices. Something for every collector. Beautifully set-up and displayed. We will come back every time we are in the area! I did not see anything derogatory to any ethnicity. I went through the store 2 times because it is so amazing you cannot see everything the first time through. read more

Love this family run business. Fair prices, great conversation and something for everyone! Food was excellent! We will definitely make it a stop every time we go through Cortez! It would honestly take me hours to go through the whole place and really see everything! read more

This place is crazy full of everything!! If you are collector of any kind they have an area for you! Fun stop to look around and grab something to eat or drink too. Anna was super sweet and made me the best milkshake and only $5 for a pretty large size. The shop goes back and then when you think your at the end it has a whole furniture area in the back like another building size. Ladies are super nice and helpful if your looking for anything particular they know where it is and they let you use the restroom too! Thank again ladies this is a must stop when your going by! read more

The worst service ever!!!! the cook was rude and very disrespectful. gave us cold fries. She wore NO gloves touched raw meat then proceeded to grab the garnish. Cross contamination the whole time we were there. Licked her fingers touched her face then continued to touch the food she was cooking. When we walked in didn't acknowledge us at all. My daughter was looking forward and excited to eating a cheeseburger with a shake. We r Ute Mtn Ute and it felt like she was racist from the start. She also said "I knew u were gonna say that" about the fries. Also said "u just come in here to bitch". Never been there and wanted to try something new that was locally owned. Lived here all my life and have never been treated so badly in my life. I wouldn't recommend eating there!!! negative stars read more

Being from New England, I know my way around an antique store. I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem hidden in southwest Colorado. I only had a half hour to check the place out, but plan to go back soon. The store had every category of antiques and collectibles that I could imagine. And everything was very well organized. The art yard art was fascinating. Not sure my HOA would allow most of this, but still fun to look at. read more

Wow! This place had so many great collectibles! We were just passing by and came across this store. And I am so glad we did! I wish I could have purchased a lot of items but since we are flying back to Texas we can not carry much. I have never seen a more organized antique mall in my life, and I have been to a lot back East. The selection of everything you can imagine is great, the quality definitely above average or better, customer service is very good, super friendly, and the soda fountain and burgers are an added bonus!! Highly recommend Antique Corral! read more

Fun place to shop. We spent hours walking around and found a bunch of items we purchased. Highly recommend a visit.

shocked at the reviews on this place because my husband and I enjoyed it very much. I thought everything was unique, and reasonably priced compared to the other antique malls I have been to across the country. It was very well organized and I found quite a few things. The lunch counter is adorable and yummy too. read more

I happened upon this store on my way back into Cortez from the Four Corners. I was immediately greeted and felt very comfortable here. Both ladies were super friendly and so helpful that I grabbed lunch while I was there and it was delicious. I did not see any racist or political propaganda in the store and I spent some time walking around all areas of it. I bought a few small items and if I lived in the area, I would definitely be back. read more

I loved everything this antique store had to offer. The lady who owns it (Cheryl) I think really has an eye for antiquing!!!! Yes the employees do not wear mask but that does not stop me from chatting with the two ladies that cooking us a delicious Lunch.... a cheeseburger and chili cheese fries were made with love. Hands down the best antique store I have ever been too. Very clean and very organized. If I ever come back I will definitely be visiting again !!!! read more

Antique Corral - Vintage Sinclair dinosaur - Antiques Near Me - Cortez, Colorado

This store has a plethora of items for the collectors of most anything to just furnishing a house. Hard to buy for people you can find it here. And why your browsing stop at the lunch counter and have a delicious hamburger and for dessert hand dipped ice cream. Sometime we just go for a good outing like a museum. read more

I wish I would have read the reviews before visiting. Unfortunately, I've seen racially insensitive items at other antique stores, but this was so much worse. Heartbreaking and awful. read more

Place has really cool unique stuff though overpriced. However what really struck me is a section in the back full of "black collectibles" and racist signs ex: "whites only". My husband asked the lady in the front why she sells these items and she said that they've been selling them for 16 years all across the country as if that makes it acceptable. She then said he should just ignore it. read more

Too expensive, overly priced. A big selection if you want to pay exorbitant prices for used merchandise

This is the best antique store ever!!!! It has everything you're looking for. The staff is amazing. (And the owner is NOT a racist, despite what other people say) You will not find a better burger anywhere in town.. definitely one of the best kept secrets in the Four Corners area read more

Walked in & immediately felt judged & unwelcome (not to mention unsafe) - none of the staff were wearing masks & right in front of the door was a bunch of political propaganda. We turned around and left immediately. I've known too many people now that have died of covid & refuse to support a business that isn't taking it seriously. read more

Not much more here than overpriced junk and rude service. Not worth it to even browse here. I love thrift stores but would never go back to this one. read more

Rediculously high prices. Looks more like a tourist trap than an actual antique store. Large amounts of cast iron, but they are over priced and don't line up with true market value. It's a fun place to look, but don't expect to buy anything. It's a museum. read more

Antique Corral - A Gris-Wag for $95?! - Antiques Near Me - Cortez, Colorado

Horrible customer service. The owner (lady) Verrryyyyyy rude. We left our stuff at the register and didn't buy any thing. It's an antique shop. My husband asked if they could do any better on the items we where buying that were all together well over $100 plus dollars & wouldn't even consider bartering. Which is fine. She lost our business due to her rude behavior. She try to say it was because of my 4 & 5 year old which didn't touch anything. My kids were a little loud here and there and i would quite them. How can u blame little children for ur rudeness. Never will return!!! I would give her a -2 if they had a star for that :( read more

The lady at front desk was very rude when we walked in the door with my Service Dog. The lady did not even ask if he was a service dog. She told us we cannot have our dog in the store when I stated he is a service dog she said I don't care you have to hold him or he is not allowed in the store. Let see her hold a 75 lb dog. I also had my service dog certificate and she said well I can get that online. My dog went through 2 years of training and is Certified not something you get online. So we will never return and I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

It is truly sad when a business you have visited multiple times kicks you in the backside. Let me begin by saying that no where in the store or on the Corral's receipts does it state anything about a return policy. However, we purchase an item that was mislabeled in their store, and then were told that we couldn't return it, due to their "no return" policy. Let me break this down: after purchasing a bed frame marked "Queen" and paying partly in cash and partly with a debit card, we drive the bed frame to it's destination 70 miles away and set it up. We spend 30 minutes fixing a bent side and replacing a missing screw. We spend $33 on wood to add as slats. Then we discover the frame is actually a "Full", not a "Queen". I called the store to let them know I'll be returning with the frame, and I was curtly informed there are "no refunds". I pointed out that the frame I purchased was incorrectly marked by an employee in their store - a mistake, and therefore, I expect a refund. The reply was "we'll find you another frame". I informed her that there were no other Queen size frames in the store, so I will be returning the frame and expecting a refund, and she replied, "we'll see". Needless to say I was fuming at this point. The day we purchased the bed frame we spent over $300 on the frame and other furniture. Every other time I have been in this store I have spent money. As a good paying customer, I don't appreciate crappy treatment, especially when I have done nothing wrong. I returned the frame and looked at another one that the owner showed me. The other frame wouldn't work for us, and I told her so, so they took me to the register where she then proceeded to argue with me that the refund had to be issued onto a credit card, as that is how the payment was initially made. Even though that is incorrect, I took my money and ran. I left with a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach. I felt like I had to fight for my money back on a mistake made by the store, and then made to feel bad over it. Overall, it was a terrible experience. The bottom line is: buyer beware. I will not be going back. Also, all the fun lunch boxes and cowboy shirts are gone. As is my like for this store. read more

Sadly my experience wasn't as delightful as the previous reviewers. For starters, if you have children -- leave them at home for sure. From the entrance to through-out the store, the place is peppered with signs including lots of exclamation points that essentially state "We don't want kids in here" in language that isn't even as kind as that. Granted, it's an antiques store with lots of little, breakable things sitting precariously on overstocked shelves -- so I assume they've had some bad experiences to get that point. All the same, a bit of tact could be helpful. During a visit today, I asked if a better price could be made on a patio set that I'd seen twice there before -- over about a 4 week period. It was in need of a serious cleaning and appeared to be outside for some time (I'm guessing well before I saw it the first time). She was quite incredulous about it and told me she'd already sold 3 of the same set. Honestly what antiques store receives 4 of the same set? So sales tactic or not, it seemed odd. I've been in and out of many antique shops and it's not unusual to ask if a price can be made any better, so to receive that type of reaction was quite foreign to me. There's a way to rebuff an offer or negotiate something that isn't so gruff and frankly full of negative attitude. I should state I've been in previously and they do have a really varied inventory and random things you'd be hard pressed to find else where. You could spend hours in there. I have made purchases before (scored on some great stools) but I simply won't be be back. The vibe is bad and I want to feel good when I give someone my dollars. read more

I have been to this store several times and have found everything overpriced. A scabbard at Colorado Saddlery goes for $68.00 brand new and this place want $120.00 for a highly used scabbard. When I asked the lady in the office if their sheep skins had any room she just smirked and said their prices are firm. I have bought new skins for the same amount they want for an old and stained skin. Stay away from this place. It is not worth the time and effort. read more

No longer allow purses or coats inside the store. The staff seems to consider every customer as a potential thief. Huge store with lots of variety and good ice cream but there are more pleasant places to spend your money. read more

After reading reviews and comments about this place refusing service dogs, I have no desire to visit this shop or recommend this place. Yes, anyone can buy tags/gear for service animals and put it on their animal. But their are laws that protect shop owners. If a "service animal" is behaving outside the standards of their PA, then yes an owner can ask the customers to leave. They cannot, however, refuse service as soon as the animal walks in the door. This is grounds for investigation and fines. SDiTs are not covered. I love antique shops I will not however, shop in a place that refuses to serve the disabled community. They have as much right as everyone else. Please, understand that while there are people that take advantage of the system this is not professional for a business. https://www.ada.gov/service_animals_2010.htm read more

If you want to be treated with courtesy and respect, this is NOT the store for you. I picked up an item to look at it and the owner lady swooped in on me and told me to put it down! I had picked out something I was going to buy, but after that, we just left. I wonder how many other people she has chased off. She must not need the money judging by how overpriced everything is there and by how they treat people. There is nothing there you couldn't find and buy cheaper on E-bay. This woman missed her true calling in life - being a shop keeper is not for her. read more

Found this store while out driving and doing sightseeing in the area and boy am I glad we stopped. From the road it looks like a medium sized building but inside it just goes on and on - it's very large and has an awesome selection of items. The treasures within are grouped by type and are very extensive. If you are looking for something in particular you can ask and they will point you in the right direction where you will find ample examples of what you are looking for. The arrangement allows for comparison between like items so you find the best item(s) for your collection. Their selection of cast iron cookware is the best I've seen. The room in the back of the store is stocked full of antique furniture of every type and style. They stock everything from memorabilia type items and primitive Americana, cowboy boots and western items the selection is HUGE! The ladies at the front desk were helpful and very knowledgeable and don't hover-they let you explore to your hearts content. I found the prices very reasonable and in some cases a real bargain. I fell in love with this store and will definitely make the 6 hour drive back to shop again! read more
