But since the tracks are owned by the freight company and there is only one track in many spots, this is not happening. And there is NO service on the weekend (SAT AND SUN). That in itself kills it. If you can't get there or back from there on the weekend, that eliminates most travelers from taking it as it does no good to only be able to go one way if you have luggage and need your car to get to and from the station. The station itself is fine. After all, it is just a station. Legislators, use some transportation funding to get this line dual tracked all the way north from O'Hare so service can be added.

As part of the effort to get my friend up to the Milwaukee Rescue Mission I had to contact taxi services and find one which could bring my friend from Gurnee up to Milwaukee while meeting my expectations. It was challenging. After a few uncommon conversations with some local taxi services I was getting a little concern. I then found Northern American Taxi. I called Marianna and described my unique situation. She liked the idea of helping a homeless person and we proceeded to arrange the ride for my friend. When my friend arrived at the Milwaukee Rescue Mission, he called telling me he had a great ride and good time chatting with Marianna. In addition Marianna also made a nice contribution to PADS, the Chicago area homeless program. During this current time we need special people. Marianna not only provided a great service, she showed heart and honor helping an organization focus on helping the less fortunate.
