We basically went right in which was very nice. We sat in the front room as you entered. There were about 7 or 8 tables and another room off to the side. We ordered the Pasta with Pumpkin, Pecorino, and Ricotta Cheese and the Pasta with Pistachio Pesto, Stracciatella Cheese and Sun Dried Tomatoes. Both dishes were perfectly prepared. My pick was the pistachio one and it was addictive. I couldn't stop eating it. The pumpkin one was equally as good but that addictive kept calling my name. The restaurant is located in the centre of the city, on the sea (exactly on the sea). There are some tables reserved for romantic dinner which are located exactly above the water. We went just few minutes after 20:00 and we could enjoy as well a spectacular sunset. Main food is of course the fish even if they are offering as well fish. We had Spaghetti with Ricci (Sea urchin Spaghetti) and we really enjoyed it since the Sea urchins were really fresh. The main course was really a masterpiece Tuna fish with pistachio. As well in this case, the fish was really fresh and well prepared. My girlfriend made the choose to have a prawn cocktail: unluckily in this case she was not lucky since there was too much sauce, which killed the taste of the prawn. I think that it is better in this restaurant to choose something which is linked to the tradition of the place rather than to have a look at something of international. Really nice was the service as well, the owner was really careful and he took really care about us.

The wine I got was the last bit of the bottle, so I got skimped on the pour, which I was upset about. I kept looking around at others ordering wine and they all got 3/4 of an inch more in the wine glass than I did. I was expecting him to come back with a new bottle to finish the acceptable pour - but nope. With the cooperto to charge and charge for tap water (which I know is everywhere in Italy) this bill cost me a lot more than I was expecting for the service and quality of the food. I had more food at lunch with a nicer ambiance which cost me less than this spot! Don't think I would recommend this spot to friends visiting unfortunately.

The staff were friendly, gracious, and flexible, bringing a child seat, being patient with our crappy Italian, and nonjudgmental about our American eating preferences (Sicilians do a multi-course lunch, we just wanted a pasta course and wine). And most importantly, the food was outstanding, easily the best we had in two weeks here. Make sure to try the gnocchi with pistachio cream sauce and the amazing chicken soup, which tastes like it was made by a grandma in a farmhouse. The ice cream cake dessert was also wonderful. Lots of vegetarian options, very kid friendly. Highly recommended!
