Kind, empathetic, patient and helpful. Dr. Hesse was fantastic! She did an ultrasound on my knee and I had X-rays done. She took out fluid from my knee, gave me a shot for pain and referred me for an MRI stat. Once i had my MRI, I came back to her. She told me I had a severe stress fracture in my femur a torn meniscus and inflammation on my patella. She told me I needed to stay off my feet for 4-6 weeks. So I could no longer work in my field as a Registered Behavior Therapist. She wrote me a note for work and prescribed me two different pain relievers (My request.) She was very kind and thorough with me. She didn't rush me out of the room. Very smart, empathetic and caring. Her nurse (I forgot her name) (sorry) was also very caring, kind and helpful.

Live with it or go through an invasive costly surgical procedure. Also plan upon months of therapy and recovery. Having been the victim of a botched surgical procedure in my youth, I'm really thorough about checking into who my surgeon is going to be and the facility in which the surgery is going to take place. After checking out everything I made an appointment with Dr.Ross Wodicka and couldn't have been more delighted. He's not only a great doctor but real good down to earth guy who carefully explains all your options and matters involving the procedure. Matter of fact, because of my age being 74, he wasn't cut happy and really wanted me to know what I was going to be put through in order to recover and whether I thought it would be worth it. Well, because I was unable to lift my martini glass to my lips (that's practically the definition of very serious), of course it was worth it. I might also add that Dr. Wodicka is a sports doctor specialist with a fellowship in a well-recognized sports orthopedic institute. So if one can trust the multimillion dollar shoulders and knees of professional athletes to him, I think I can trust mine to him too. Anyway my surgery went just fine. Matter of fact incredibly fine. I don't even have a surgical scar, never needed any pain meds and now near 8 months later 90% recovered and doing exceptionally well.

Primary Injury Code:S61.451A - Open bite of right hand, initial encounter OR S61.452A - Open bite of left hand, initial encounter (If there is documented nerve damage, codes like S64.31XA or S64.32XA for digital nerve injury of the thumb are also added).External Cause Code (Tells Medicare how it happened):W54.0XXA - Bitten by dog, initial encounter Place of Occurrence Code (Crucial to rule out Workers' Comp):Y92.019 - Unspecified place in single-family private house as the place of occurrence of the external cause. Why this matters: Including this code explicitly tells Medicare's automated billing system that the injury occurred at a private residence, proving it was not a workplace or commercial incident.2. Service/Procedure Codes (CPT)For your initial evaluation with the orthopedic specialist, they would bill an outpatient Evaluation & Management (E/M) code based on the complexity of the visit: 99203 or 99204 - Office or other outpatient visit for the evaluation and management of a new patient. (Given the potential nerve damage and cyanosis/circulation issues, this represents a moderate-complexity visit, typically coded as 99204).

Dr. Feierstadt is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but he's also extremely attentive, thorough, and genuinely cares about his patients' well-being. I came in with chronic back pain, a stiff neck, and was honestly at a point where I thought I'd just have to live with the discomfort. Dr. Feierstadt took the time to really listen to my concerns, ask the right questions, and carefully explain what was going on with my body. His ability to break things down in a way that made sense helped me feel confident in the treatment plan we were starting. Every appointment has been a positive experience -- not only because of the relief I feel afterward, but also because of how professional, friendly, and welcoming the whole office is. You can tell that everyone here is passionate about helping people heal and feel better. Dr. Feierstadt uses a variety of techniques that are customized to your specific needs. It's not a one-size-fits-all approach. He's also great at checking in throughout the visit to make sure you're comfortable, and I always leave feeling like progress is being made. This is a walk-in orthopedic office which was perfect for me since I didn't want to wait till next week to find out what was wrong with my foot. This office is across from Broward General Hospital. I was seen by Dr. Jeffrey Alent who was very nice. Before being seen by the doctor X-rays were given and then the consult started. I was shown what the problem was and a plan of action. I am glad I did not break any bones in my foot. The recommendations were to take it easy, a no-impact exercise for a while, more stretching, and more supportive shoes as well as Voltaren cream for arthritis on my ankle from a broken ankle in the past. I did pass on the physical therapy since I rather work on the foot myself. Exercises were given to improve the range of movement. Hopefully, I will recover soon.
