She isn't a stuffy robotic old-school therapist, but instead she is warm, empathetic, reachable and very human. She has helped my partner and I tremendously. Without her we probably wouldn't have made it. I would recommend Ros to anybody who is looking for a therapist that will relate to them and be alongside whatever issue they bring. She won't ever make you feel 'psychoanalysed', or like she is fixing you, but instead she will be a real human in a real therapeutic relationship with you. I can't recommend her more!

He ended up feeling comfortable enough to say what is going on for him. It was great to hear him open up. It was good session and we will being going again. My partner even admits it is good for us to go. We haven't argued for two weeks. I'm hopeful relationship counselling will help us sort out our lack of communication. My treatment under…read morethe care of Dr Woolfson has completely transformed my life and has been worth every single, hard-earned penny I have spent on it. Dr Woolfson is as unique as the therapeutic alliance is amongst relationships, and he is not without his foibles (who is?) ...but they make him more human and a better therapist in my opinion. He is a physician that operates from a genuine, frank, collaborative and open position. In all the time I have been under Dr Woolfson's care, I have never had cause to question his diagnostic capabilities, knowledge or desire to alleviate problems ...and, most importantly, my own! He is a psychiatrist that has, quite simply, been there and seen it all and can, and has, provided life changing treatment.

In the end, however, the benefits of someone else finding a good therapist via my recommendation outweighed the above-mentioned risk. Usually I'm writing long and detailled reviews about my experiences with a "business", but this time I'd actually like to keep it really brief and will thus not go into details about the sessions themselves. Actually, what Tim says about his counseling approach on his website is pretty much in line with my thoughts: "I work as a humanistic counsellor and group therapist. Therapists using a humanistic approach believe that: * every individual is unique * change, growth and development are possible for everyone * a healthy counselling environment is non-judgemental and compassionate * striving to be honest and authentic is central to healthy counselling * our job is to help our clients realise their own unique potential." I actually found about Tim via the website www.pinktherapy.com. This is a great resource to find a counsellor/therapist that is sensitive to gay and lesbian issues.
