On February 14th 2025 I had an insured Erie customer ran a stop sign making a left turn in front of…read moremy car. Which left me no time to stop because of traveling south bound going the speed limit and caught by surprised. As a uber driver and my car being towed by this senseless driver , I lost everything to make a living for my child and I. As of Erie Insurance having the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was dealing with a liability adjuster by the name of ELENA ACEVEDO AT THE CHARLOTTE NC LOCATION. Anytime she needed documents or I needed information about my claim. Elena would literally never give me a straight answers, would never respond until days later. EXAMPLE: I needed documents from The Rawlings group itemized bills from my accident "EASY". This women stated at the End of May that theses documents will take up to 3-4 months to be completed. I called to get these documents sent to Elena before that time. Got in touch with assigned to an employee by the name of Seth M. He reached out to Elena/Erie Insurance July 8th by fax and email to get the documents she requested. Elena never responded until I contacted her manger Kim Lee over 4 times and also Kim's manager David M. When she did respond she stated she don't need to speak with Seth because theses are my bills that I'm requesting. So instead of responding to a fax you received over a week ago you rather me receive the documents in the mail then send it to you for you to send me a offer. I realized Elena really is unprofessional and her energy has been off Through this whole situation. I then got on Google and Googled her name and realize other African-Americans have been complaining about her antics/Racism and the way she treats us through this process. The other posts I found warned me about her giving BS settlements and guess what sure enough she gave me the most disgusting settlement. As if my child and I haven't been through enough. Please beware of this SCAM Company and the people working for it.

Worst customer service ever. And I used to work for the Government. I spoke with Dana Welfare, AIC,…read moreAIS, Erie Insurance Group, Commercial Liability Specialist, (704) 895-1801, PO Box 480040 Charlotte, NC 28269. Dana Welfare knows nothing about customer service. She used the word, "they" and "them" when discussing an Erie claim with me. When I asked who "they" are she went on some diatribe about how they work for different people. So I asked again. She gave the same answer. When I explained that she had used the term "they" at least 5-8 time without telling who "they" were, she just started laughing. I called her boss, Jim Mitchell (704) 442-9393, that same day to discuss why Dana was so unprofessional as to just start laughing because she could not answer my question and he stated that they would find out and get back to me. That was 9/19/2019. I just received my first phone call back from them (10/15/2019) and it was Dana explaining that the claim was now closed. When I asked her again who "they" were, she said she had no idea what I was I was talking about. I told her the only conversation she and I had was on the 19th and that she used "they". She went on to make up some more BS and after asking for the third time in the conversation finally told me who "they" were. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ERIE, I KNOW YOU CAN HIRE SOME OTHER PEOPLE LIKE DANA WELFARE THAT EITHER IGNORE OR JUST DON'T DO THEIR JOB FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS. Don't worry, everyone I talk to will hear this story about Dana Welfare and Jim Mitchell from Erie Insurance in Charlotte, NC. If I were Dana's boss, she would be fired!!

Update on NC Farm Bureau's handling of my June 2025 claim:…read more NC Farm Bureau's own hired engineering firm (Rimkus Engineering) conducted a forensic inspection and explicitly confirmed 100% contractor negligence (HomeUp)--concluding that while replacing siding, the contractor's heavy hammering caused vibrations and displacements in the exterior wall that broke the water supply line. Despite having clear forensic proof of zero policyholder fault, NCFB refuses to issue a standard administrative statement or status note on my C.L.U.E. loss report confirming 0% policyholder fault / third-party contractor liability. Even if NCFB chooses not to pursue subrogation for its own financial recovery, factual accuracy and fair reporting dictate that my public insurance record must accurately reflect that I was completely without fault. To make matters worse, instead of fixing their record, NCFB attempted to push an alternative policy from another company that carried a steep $2,500 deductible and did not even cover key areas of my home properly. NCFB management was well aware that my husband and I are 70 and 78 years old living on a fixed income, yet they attempted to steer us toward an underinsured policy rather than correcting their own administrative errors. NCFB continues to direct blame onto secondary underwriters. However, my current insurance agent formally confirmed in writing to Tyler and me: "As of this morning, Underwriting has advised that if Farm Bureau is not going to subrogate, or add messages I am 0% not at fault, then unfortunately, there's nothing that can be done." This written admission proves that NCFB's refusal to subrogate or clarify third-party fault directly prevents secondary carriers from adjusting my rating--locking my annual premium in at an inflated $3,100 per year. NCFB's refusal to stand behind its own engineering report, correct a simple record, and push inadequate coverage onto senior citizens on a fixed income shows a total lack of integrity and customer care.

I got my policy from the Liberty Mutual 800 National Number not this agency. I am not reviewing…read morethem directly. I could not find a way to review them Nationally. WOW.....Liberty Mutual Auto - Be Advised In states permitted.... (Happened to me in NC). Better Check Prior !!! They will charge you a "Short Rate Fee" for early termination of your policy. "Be Advised" They write their policies for 1-Yr not 6-mo. giving them potential advantage of applying this penalty past 6 months and getting deeper into your wallet. I added a new car onto my policy and my monthly went from $53 to $181/mo. I had to add the car to drive off the lot...no time to shop. $181 that seemed way high. The next week I shopped rates and got 2 that were @117/mo. identical coverage. I fired Liberty Mutual for not being competitive. My final invoice was $339....What. They Explained $122 was for coverage on days in the arrears (ok fine I owed for those days) and $217 "Short Rate Fee" WHAT!!! My policy just renewed so they got to apply this fee to 11 months. I currently filed a complaint with the NC Ins Commission to see if this fee is legit, and if so why are they letting them rob us. So....if you go with Lib Mut and have a coverage change and they move you to the high side of coverage cost and you want to fire them....they will pick your pocket. If they cant be or choose not to be "competitive" you shouldn't pay that price for them. Just Sayin !!!! I'm P.O.'ed
