They let me know what they would have done, had they been given more freedom yet in the end my stylist at the Hair Factory was happy to obey. And since it was A) my money being handed over and B) my goddamn hair I left satisfied. Whilst I was having it blow dried to within an inch of my barnet's life, I did get a few tips which I am usually too scared to ask for, about how to get it properly straight with a hairdryer (I use £15 straighteners to varying effect). I also had a chat about my hair colour which we all agreed would look good a shade darker - I experimented with temporary mahogany a few years ago but didn't like it. Brown is staying, but they convinced me that I should go back and since the guy at Razor's Edge a few times back also suggested this same thing, I didn't think it was a con. Must be what all them slebs do. Dye it to make it shinier.

Okay so they're not the cheapest hairdresser's around but they are competitive and more important…read morethe quality and standard they provide is actually worth the small extra you may end up paying (dependent on what level of stylist you want to do your hair) The actual salon itself is spacious and clean with a relaxing 'vibe'. They haven't crammed too much in their and the design is sympathetic to the relaxing environment. likewise, the lighting is thought full and tasteful, bright enough so that you can read and see everything without being crass and blinding. The staff are all very smart in appearance, they wear a uniform color but not an actual uniform so their individuality can shine without compromising the loo and feel of the company. I've been here several times for myself, my mother is a regular client and my young son has only ever had his hair cut here, i simply don't trust anywhere else. The staff are creative and friendly they listen to what you want and offer useful insight and suggestions. I've had trainees and top stylists there and have never ever been let down. All in all a fabulous experience with great results well worth your time and money to visit and put your hair in their hands.

I live in Altrincham and every 8 weeks I travel to Bury for my cut with Ian at Saks in Bury. I have tried local Saks and T & G with average results but thankfully found this hidden gem of a stylist tucked away in the Bury salon. His ability to style to flatter the features as well as being first class cutter has taken me back to him for almost 8 years now. Working in the fashion industry my image is crucial to my clients so I have no hesitation in recommending his work to anyone looking for a first class stylist. I have been going to these hairdressers for years. It is pretty expensive I usually have highlights…read moreand for a full head of highlights with 3 colours it costs just over £70. This does include the hair cut and wash as well. I like this place because it is a bit of a pampering treat and luxury experience. The staffs are friendly and welcoming. They have plasma screens next to each chair. They also have a large selection of drinks including wine, hot chocolate, fizzy water and juice and they also give you a biscuit with it. The drinks are included in the price. They always give plenty of magazines to read. It is quite an enjoyable experience if a bit expensive.
