Avoid this company at all costs! Absolutely horrible experience dealing with them. I'm an active-duty U.S. Marine with 18 years of clean and honorable service. I've never been arrested before and had zero experience with the legal or bail system. When I suddenly needed help navigating this situation, my wife and I turned to Greatest Bail Bonds based on the recommendation that they were "veteran-friendly" and would "take care of us." That could not have been further from the truth. This company panders to military members and veterans, using slogans and promises that they support us, but in reality, their conduct is far from what is expected of a military professional. Once they took our money, the transparency, service, and support disappeared. We paid $2,800 under the impression that it was a refundable bail. At no point was it clearly communicated that this was a non-refundable fee, and the paperwork didn't make that distinction either. The agent who handled my case told us everything would be explained later. It never was. We were in a vulnerable position, under stress, and unfamiliar with the process; but instead of guiding us through it, they exploited that vulnerability for profit. Once they were paid, all assistance and communication stopped. I reached out for help checking my court status when nothing was posted online. Their response? "Just check the website"... followed by sending me the same booking info I already had. Even my lawyer reached out for clarification and got nothing but attitude and a repeat of the same useless info. They claim to be professionals, and say they work "in the middle of the night," but what's the point if you don't actually help the client after taking payment? Their customer service is misleading, dismissive, and they clearly rely on people being uninformed in times of crisis to make money. When I voiced my concerns, the reply was to suggest I misunderstood the service, and to question what I expected. The truth is: I expected honesty, guidance, and a fair explanation. I got none of that. Here's the reality: No one explained the process, in writing or in person. They marketed themselves as military-friendly but did not treat me or my family with the respect or care that implies. The paperwork was vague, and no time was taken to ensure we understood what we were signing. They were unreachable when we needed help. The entire experience felt like a bait-and-switch operation. If I had known this was a non-refundable fee, I would have shopped around for a better rate or company. Instead, we trusted their word, & that trust was betrayed. This was one of the worst customer experiences of my life. I would never recommend this company to anyone, especially not to fellow military members or veterans. Their behavior is dishonest, predatory, and disgraceful, especially considering how they use military connections to gain trust and then abandon their clients once paid. Do not use this guy. Took our money then stopped answering the phone before returning money after 13 hours !!!! We didn't know what was going on for 13 hours straight. After we got our money back 12am the next day we found another bail bondsman who got me out jail in 2 hours. This guy completely handled this situation terribly. Had to miss 2 days of work. He could of told me he was in over his head and saved me and my family all of that waisted time and still has never gave an explanation why. If a good and knowledgeable bonding company is what you are looking for, then this is the place. Right off the bat, the guy on the phone was so informative and polite. He took the time to explain the process and how everything worked. I really had no idea so much went into posting bail for someone. The jail took forever to release him, but luckily I had their office checking on him while we waited. So far they have been great to me and my partner, they do reminders for court ( which is very helpful!) and are always willing to work with him with him checking in with their office.
