One of the local artists who has numerous works of art around Indy is Eric Nordgulen, a professor at Herron School of Art. Back in 1998, he developed a prototype for a much larger scale piece. Both are called Antenna Man. The smaller one is located on the west side of the Herron School of Art. (The other was installed in Illinois.)
The aluminum figure has two support columns with rib like sections attached from "head to foot". The front and back sections do not touch, but are connected by fine cables for stability. From the front, you can see a human form, while from the sides, the openness of the form becomes more abstract.
The figure stands around eleven feet tall.
