This is a working ranch that allows many of us less adventurous to be a cowboy for a day or…read morebefriend a bison. Without all the running, screaming, trampling, and death required by those that wish to pet or touch bison in other locations. You Tube Bison Attacks Yellowstone to understand this reference. Now, Terry's allows feeding, petting and close up photography of their bison. The resort is a ranch and not the Four Seasons, so let's dial down our expectations and recognize the workings of the ranch. There will be dirt, poop, feathers, hair, urine, and unkempt struck and other things gentle folk may find unsavory. We found the ranch charming. We have experienced many close encounters with wild bison and most were less than rewarding, but exciting. Terry removes this. The train creaks, and groans into the herd. Windows open, and your bison friend pop up for food. You can touch them and enjoy close photos/videos. Kids will love this and animal lovers also. Your trip back the platform will provide some ranch insights and views of horse stables. That was our visit. You may also trail ride on horseback and even participate in dude ranching. We feel the ranch offered all it advertised and we will return with the little ones. Keep up the good work Terry and all the support it.

We were seated immediately. We were brought bread and water for the whole table along with the menus, which was very simple menu that I really appreciated. This diner used to be a truckstop back in the day and now it is a little diner for strictly steaks and it was a wonderful atmosphere. Everybody was really nice, smiling and chitchatting and having a good time there was no TVs there was no music just everybody talking and having a good time the steaks were cooked to perfection as well as the baked potatoes. I have nothing bad to say about this place. It was very good. Everybody was gracious and appreciative of their customers I definitely will go back so if you're ever out headed east look for the flaming steakhouse you won't be disappointed. Wasn't that an entertaining response: allow me to retort:…read more 7 hours on horseback, you're kidding right! The food issue with my bride, you're got to be serious, it's simple food, and you have a "classically" trained chef that don't know what night shade foods are, that should sum things up nicely. I even emailed you that just grilling veggies (which we brought and were NEVER USED) would make her happy. Again, your staff don't know how to make a simple Quinoa salad, but you'll accommodate special food requests!. I really don't get the whole cook being with us x number of years, not sure how that equates to cooking potatoes. The email he adds was in response to his email asking what she could eat and clarification (kinda like taking an excerpt from the middle of a book). The room, is a joke, I never picked the room. How do you pick a room ya never saw. That was a suggestion from Tom over a phone convo. nuff said. I agree, horse back riding is NOT my cup of tea, never said it was, don't think for one second that review came only from me! OH NO, this included feedback I got back from other guests. I gave up Big John because ANOTHER GUEST asked to ride him, know your facts Tom. I switched again because my wife could not handle the horse she was given (due to her RA), AGAIN, know your facts Tom. Seriously, I was determined to had a bad time, seriously. There's a wow moment. Brought our own veggies that were never used and had to be thrown away, brought 2LBS of venison that was never used, brought venison summer sausage that was only offered up when I asked what happened to it. Curious, Tom, ya ever saved the markers I made for the Chiefs circle ring or the medicine man's ring? My bet is, no. Let's not talk about what I did for the ranch and staff. The saddle I used was terrible, tack broke on my wife and one other guest while we were there. No attack on anyone, a honest comment on the tack. Really don't matter to me if ya get an individual that fell in love with a horse. I certainly loved "butt eddy" (my name for Buddy), doesn't change my review. Funny he never responded to an email I sent days after our arrival home, but leave a review that is not glowing and holy crap! If ya check TripAdvisor for reviews, ever wonder why there is not a SINGLE bad review, think about it. See my review, only mentions staff, there's a reason for that, TripAdvisor is very picky with they way you state things, one wrong word and they deny the post. Simpler to just state the good. I'll stay with my review, it certainly wasn't worth 5K. Time to move on

I have no idea where the negative review before us came from! My husband and I visited the ranch…read morejust this September, 2016 and had the time of our lives. We travel a lot and have never been treated so well. The room was fantastic, cozy, rustic, and very comfortable. We did camp fires at night and we had a blast shooting. How else do you get a rounded cowboy experience after a long days ride? When it comes to the food....outstanding. My husband has gluten free needs. Jake and Sheila in the kitchen fixed some amazing meals and they were able to totally take care of us and our diet requirements. While they juggled our needs and those of other guests, our comfort was always a priority. The horseback riding was incredible. When I booked, Tom told me we would be in the saddle about six or seven hours each day, and we were. We did a cattle drive, we rode through canyons, prairie, worked with the cows, learned how to rope a cow from our horse, and generally got really good at riding. The wranglers were awesome! We are already looking at coming back to Colorado Cattle Company next year, and excited to do so. I honestly have no idea what Keith was talking about, because I know that we had a great time, Tom and Darcy are amazing hosts, the staff is wonderful, the horses and the riding is great, and we could not be happier. We highly recommend Colorado Cattle Company if you want a real horseback and working ranch experience.
