First and for out-of-towners, location. Walker's is simple to find with a friendly location just west of Corey Road. There is a Corey Road exit of I-475 which made discovering Walker's easy. Parking, too, was more than ample given the business has two parking lots to the east and west. To the north is the Sylvania Arboretum making the view from the front of Walker's peaceful and beautiful, even while gazing over a busy street. Guest services. By this I mean greetings and salutations given by the Walker staff. I was made comfortable entering the large and beautiful building. Two Walker staffers were there to greet me in friendly fashion, and they attire was spot-on professional. They suggested the party name, kindly point the direction of the rooms AND suggested I sign the Guest Register. Very nice. The room and viewing areas were well appointed, not entirely understated by a calming color scheme, well managed accoutrements and nice facilities for men & women. There were HDTV for family picture flow. The placements of flowers were well arranged. Leaving I was thanked by Walker staff for attending. In my mind I don't imagine there being a smoother operation in Toledo.

They use a service I provide to make tributes for families. I've personally seen them go out of their way to make a funeral truly special getting to know the families and helping them celebrate their life passions and interests. I even asked them about the one star review knowing how much a single bad review can hurt a business, and it appeared that they investigated and it wasn't even a service that they provided. They reached out to the reviewer and they didn't respond. Do not hesitate to use this home. They are kind, compassionate and though there level of service would be worth every penny, they are very affordable. There staff is truly wonderful. I never write reviews but I'm pleased to write this one for them. They deserve it.

However, my family did not receive any compassion, sympathy, respect, sensitivity or honesty towards the family. My family had everything taken care of with cremation of our loved one through another company. However family members desired a memorial with the body. We explained to Calvin what the desire was of the family. He expressed he has never done this before however agreed to host the memorial. We worked everything out with the cremation company and the cremation company told us "oh we do Mr. Brown's cremations that wouldn't be a problem". According to Calvin this process has never been done. Things didn't work out as far as the memorial. We expressed this to Calvin and made arrangements for the loved ones body to picked up. Calvin was very rude throughout the process.. Once things started unfolding discovered that he was not a person of integrity. There was no sensitivity towards the family at all. She never met him. I explained how to spell my daughter in laws name on the obituary and he spelled it the way he wanted to. I do not recommend them for a dead dog. When it was over they thought I was clueless when he said what a beautiful service it was and I asked where my husband was. He was shocked that I knew.
