Dancing has never been my thing, but she convinced me that it was a fun work out, and an amazing social gathering. So we finally got to this place and there was an intense line of people, registering or signing in. I thought wow this must be a popular class with a line like this... I didn't stop to think how are these people doing to fit in this studio space... So we finally get to our turn, and theres a red head lady sitting there with the fakes smile Ive ever seen, and before even hearing us out or asking about the paid promo we have, she's trying to sell us an 8 week class and can almost not take NO for answer, Like I haven't even seen the place, I haven't walked in... I have not experienced the class, the people, the instructor, like HOLD ON... give me a second to breathe. and when we weren't too keen on purchasing her classes, she tried selling us salsa shoes. like really? So without even having the class start, I was annoyed. The studio was pretty cool. Very large space, and people were slowly coming in... some just practicing steps from the class before, some mingling talking... before I knew it that large room was filled with so many people there was no place to move... It did not feel like a fitness class. I don't know what it was. - raunchy gym meets social club. there was everyone from students in sneakers to office workers in shirts and ties. and people were just going in and out as they pleased, bringing in food and drinks, towels, chairs. so not organized. and then about 18 minutes into the class the instructor finally walks in - thanks for making it to your class guy! I gotta give it to him he was pretty up beat and he makes the class somewhat fun. but there is nothing fun about not having any room to move around. They need to put a capacity on the number of people who can take the class. I was later informed that they rent studios from different places around LA and all the classes are like a salsa nigh club - sweaty people way too close in proximity... if that's what I am looking for I will go to a bachata club and rub up against strangers. I just feel bad for the studio owners who rent these places to groups like these thinking they are decent dance lessons, but have no idea the filth that comes within, I was so tempted to call the studio and let them know that they might have capacity issues or some kind of liability or something, I think I still might do that - after i let the steam from Monday's class cool down a bit. I just get annoyed when people falsly advertise their service or product and try to rip off customers. People really need to stop being so damn greedy and know when to put limits - first with the lady who couldnt limit herself in selling me shoes or classes, then with Serg who cannot limit the dancers to a comfortable workable amount.

Limited and time-limited (2 hours max) metered street parking and plenty of paid parking lots. The theater does not have their own self-parking or valet. If you use certain city-owned parking lots you can validate at the theater and only pay $1 for 4 hours (as of the time of my last visit). Check their website for more info. Plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants around and some awesome Armenian food! Venue 4: Historic, nostalgic Art Deco venue originally built in 1925 and renovated a couple of times. Currently owned by the City of Glendale. Smaller venue with a capacity of fourteen hundred people. Main Floor, Terrace and Balcony seating. It's a small place so virtually every seat is a good seat. Seats are comfortable and legroom is acceptable. They do live performances and also movie screenings. Service 4: Staff were friendly and polite during my limited interaction of getting my ticket scanned at the entrance and being ushered to my seat. It's a nicely renovated theater from the height of movie palace development, with lovely Art Deco touches on the walls and ceiling. The seats aren't quite as comfortable as you'd have in newer theaters, but they ARE roomier than the oldest of the Broadway houses in NYC, so I'll consider this a win. I was here to see the annual Oscar Preview event presented by LAist with Larry Mantle and the full roster of film critics that rotate onto his Friday Film Week show. The presentation was well organized and run very smoothly for a one-off, sound was very good, visuals nicely presented, and I get the sense that the team at The Alex knows how to make these events happen seamlessly for their clients. I can imagine it's a nice place to see a film, though I know they also have live performances (orchestras, dance, theater), and I'll make a point fo coming back before too long, as this is a lovely environment with plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance.
