Through no fault of her own, my eyebrows didn't "take" initially and was probably due to my peeling off the tattoo residue too early. Professional that she is, Marin did it all over again (without scolding me even though I deserved it!), and I have now have beautiful eyebrows for an 85 year old with no natural eyebrows to speak of. She conveniently works out of the Connie Gayle offices on the corner of South Beretania and McCully Streets with lots of parking. Shady business. I had an extremely disappointing experience at Honolulu Lashes & Glows with Anna,…read moreand I feel it's important to warn others before booking services here. First and foremost, Anna used a sensitive solution on my lashes without informing me or getting my consent beforehand--something that is completely unacceptable in any professional setting. She was aware that I had a previous lash lift (done over a month prior) but still failed to communicate what she was using on my lashes until after the service. I never agreed to a sensitive formula and should have been given the opportunity to make an informed decision. Secondly, Anna initially told me that a touch-up would be free if the solution was too weak--something we had already discussed at the end of my lash lift appointment. But when I reached out unhappy with the results, she completely backtracked and told me I would need to pay for another service. On top of that, she wrote up an entirely new contract stating that I would need to pay for services, which felt extremely unnecessary and only reinforced how unwilling she was to stand by her original word. Her communication throughout this process made it incredibly clear that she was hesitant to take responsibility or help me feel satisfied with my results. It felt like she was doing everything she could to avoid offering the touch-up she had already promised. To make things worse, she refused to validate parking for the follow-up appointment, which just made it even more obvious that she didn't want to do the touch-up at all. That level of dishonesty and lack of accountability is exactly why I won't be returning. I paid close to $120 for a lash lift that I'm not satisfied with, yet there was no resolution on Anna's end. Completely unprofessional to say the least. Lastly, I want to emphasize that I waited well over a month between lash lifts, and I know my body well enough to recognize that my lashes were not damaged prior to this treatment. The outcome I received was unsatisfactory, and rather than offering a solution, Anna made the situation far more stressful and complicated than it needed to be. I've decided I'd rather pay someone else to fix the mistakes made here than continue dealing with a business that is this untrustworthy and unprofessional. On top of taking my money elsewhere, I will be telling everyone I know to also take their business elsewhere and stay away from this shady business.

It is very secure... not anyone can roam around the second floor which I appreciate! I had my first appointment with her today and she made me feel so comfortable! I started my appointment a little early because she was ready and it maybe took 20 minutes total! This was my first time getting sugaring done for a Brazilian. I've done the at home wax machine but that takes like 2 hours and is the most painful thing ever since you're basically inflicting pain on yourself. I don't know why I didn't start coming here sooner! She makes you feel very comfortable and kind of talks to you while she's doing it so you almost forget what she's doing! Yes it was painful but she makes the whole experience pleasant! I am so excited that my gf told me about this place and to be honest it was quite a peaceful break from my busy work day!

Also, she had an available spot open for me the next day of being in contact with her! Lillian is awesome! She explained exactly what the process was and what she was doing while "sugaring" me. She said that all the products are made of natural ingredients and that the process of sugaring was less painful than waxing. Supposedly the hair grows back lighter and eventually with some maintenance, it doesn't grow back at all! Also, the TV is up high so you can take your mind off of the task at hand. She gets down! hahaha It can be a little uncomfortable at first but she's good at what she does and tries to make you feel as comfortable as possible by talking to you the whole time. I'm so used to waxing so this sugaring thing, wasn't bad at all. She's still pulling out the hairs, however, it's less stressful on your skin. Also, it's cheaper than most spa's that do brazlian waxing. Can't wait to go back to see her again. Don't let the location fool you. The inside of her studio is private and smells nice too. It was helpful during the intake because they ask specific questions to narrow down your search and give you a very easy list of the options for what you are looking for. I do think it would have been a smoother process in the beginning if there was regular communication from the very getgo but it was a little slow as I'm sure they had to prioritize the weddings that were more upcoming. However when it came time closer to our wedding they were definitely very involved in trying to get all details lined up. I had some anxiety with the wedding and whole planning process especially with the weather conditions but there was consistent and constant communication leading up and their advice and suggestions/expertise really helped in making decisions. The day itself was difficult as it was really downpouring right up until the ceremony began but seeing the staff and Cindy and Jessica work so hard for all things to come together was really wonderful and you can tell they really worked hard to make everything come together. Planning a destination is not easy at all and as much of a difficulty it is making decisions, having this team really made it so much easier and you can feel like you can leave it up to them to get everything completed. There were a few hiccups with some items of course that you can expect with all weddings for sure but it was still such an amazing and easy experience that you don't even care about the things that didn't go fully right and just remember the amazing time and the whole wedding that it didn't feel there were any regrets at all. Cindy especially was so good at responses and answering all the nitty gritty that they are such a great team and Jessica really tries to take on the stresses for you so that you're not stressed as the bride. I would recommend if you're looking for a wedding planner as they have a lot encompassing to offer and my wedding turned out absolutely beautiful!
