Distracted by forced deadlines, emphasis on speed rather than real craft and working for someone I could not respect, I was blindsided by bigotry while working on an exterior project at Don's residence. My soul's assailant: a large blackface lawn ornament laid out before me. Struck dumb by the hatred and bloody echoes eminating from the artifact, my heart revealed what my mind had veiled: Don's misogyny, his solicitation of skilled labor AND racism grew from a common source of evil no part of me would entertain much less assist. If I could make a sign and stand outside of his business to warn everyone about him and his terrible company and rude behavior I would. He definitely does not like children and we gave him complete freedom on the home to paint by leaving and he allowed such sloppy half assed work to be done. Paint was sprayed on my floors from brush strokes. Paint was on everything. They gave less than a 24 hour notice they were coming and definitely did not bother to cover anything when painting. Very disappointed in their work. Do not do not do not recommend to anyone. They made an already stressful thing a million times worse.
