We patronized this place for years since it first opened its doors, but it has gone downhill. Our most recent visit, at 11:15 on Thursday, February 1st, was the last straw. There were a total of 6 tables with patrons. Three, including one party of four, had already been served. There were four servers. We went for nearly 50 minutes with only two glasses of water (never refilled) and one cup of coffee (never refilled). Our server never communicated or checked back with us except to take our initial order. After 50 minutes, my wife had to get up from the table and ask about our food. When she did so, our server was not even on the floor. She was told all would be taken care of. After waiting another ten minutes with no one coming to our table, including our server who had returned to the floor without a word, and with no sign of our food, we walked out. One hour of being ignored with only three other tables waiting, most of them with only one patron, and four servers loitering and abandoning the floor. Is this the way to run a restaurant? Avoid this location. Possibly avoid the entire franchise. read more

We're in town for a baseball tournament and found this place online. Loved being able to put our name on the waitlist list in advance so table was literally ready by the time we got there. Busy Saturday morning but the service was amazingly fast and our server was awesome and super friendly. The food came quick and was exactly like the pictures online - we had the southwest scramble, biscuits & gravy and hash brown benny and they were all cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The cleanliness from the silverware to the ceiling was a welcoming site. Bethany, the general mgr, took the time to ask if I desired anything else. Nice little chat about the restaurant and staff ensued. A big ty to my server Cheyenne for checking back with me and not sticking the check in front of me before I finished my meal. I have visited with my family after church. The food is amazing. The staff is friendly but the wait is long. When I say long, I mean really long. The food is why I will go back. We have visited twice and both times even though we got on their online waitlist, we still had to wait almost 45 minutes after we got there. The wait is not entirely their fault. You have a lot of people that will gather there and stay long after they eat. That seems to me to be the reason for the wait. So we will go back but only if we have no other plans that afternoon. If they had a system that can get patrons seated quicker we would visit a lot more. Your family will love the menu. There's something for the kids, parents and grandma and Grandpa. He didn't introduce himself or greet me, he only asked what I wanted to drink and gave me the menus. I flagged him down to give him my order. He didn't have a problem checking on his other guests. I flagged him down again to get my bill. He didn't ask how the food was or if everything was ok. He didn't refill my beverage. Got here a little after 8am on a Sunday, so there was no long wait time that affected this review. We were taken straight to a table. Our server did all the things a server should do, but she was clearly not having a good day. Anyway, we were given 2 food menus and one alcoholic beverage menu. I saw that they had several Bloody Mary options and tried to order one, but was told they don't serve alcohol before 10am. Fine, it may be a state law or something (I'm not from Tennessee), but why did you even give us a cocktail menu with strictly alcoholic beverages on it?... Fast forward to receiving our food. Nothing special about anything by the looks of it. Basic eggs Benedict and a standard bagel with a tiny smear of cream cheese a ton of capers on it. Small portions when you compare it to other breakfast places in Nashville. The breakfast potatoes tasted like nothing. No salt or any kind of seasoning on them. The yolk on my poached egg was cooked through to firm jam consistency and wasn't runny at all. The hollandaise sauce was good but that firm egg yolk on top kind of ruined it. I wouldn't say anything was *bad* whatsoever, but it was pretty far from being anything special that I would go out of my way for. We started with Bloody Mary's. The bacon in the drink was exceptional! Their coffee is delicious and hot (a must at breakfast restaurants for me). Hopping spot for brunch! You may have a long wait if you don't come early or can't snag a seat at the bar. While this is a business with several locations throughout the South, you can still expect good service and good food from this West Nashville location. When we came in, we were told the wait would be 30 minutes, but just as we were about to leave, we snagged a couple of seats at the bar from a couple getting ready to leave. We started with coffee and a pitcher of mimosas. Our bartender was absolutely slammed, but he was efficient. Our drinks were out promptly and he was back for our food order. I ordered the Sonoma Club Sandwich on gluten free bread which came with country potatoes. The sandwich was a hit. I'm a big fan of avocado no matter how you slice it so this sandwich hit the spot for me. The potatoes were good too. Nice and crispy, but I didn't have much room left for them. The garnish with the mimosas was a nice touch, but the cherry on top was the free offering of coffee to go. Seemed understaffed, had a five minute wait to see any staff, then ten minutes to get a table, even though many were open. Coffee was cold, twice. Only saw the server when placing order, once 20 minutes later, then she dropped the check off and disappeared. Took an additional ten minutes to pay, only because we went to the POS stand and waited for help. Thursday at 11 didn't seemed slammed, so not sure why it was like this. Last weekend the wait was too long...which you think is a good sign for a great meal...so I tried it today. I don't get the hype it was one of the worst breakfast meals I've had in a long time. They know how to cook grits, plain grits. My "cheese" grits were just grits with a tiny bit of shredded cheddar dropped in. Not sharp enough to add anything to the flavor profile, and to little cheese to coat more than 15% of the grits. The shrimp and grits used a really spicy andoullie sausage that drowned out most of the other flavors and the gravy, while nice, just made everything too soupy. Also, really pricey for the portion size. Shrimp is expensive but grits aren't, at least give me a heaping portion of those to make up for the cost of below average shrimp and grits. The traditional breakfast was delicious and totally on point. The fresh fruit was actually fresh and not canned! The coffee wasn't stellar, but it was well above average and I would get it again on return trips. I would definitely give it another try but based on my first meal I'd stick with the cheaper dishes. THIS IS A MUST TRY! Me and my family are traveling through and we came across this place and boy did it not disappoint. First- Alana was our server and she was awesome. She was well informed on the menu, quick and attentive. We even got 1/2 order of beignets on the house as it was our first time and they were so good! The honey marinade is perfectly combined Second-So the place is really nice and open. With outdoor seating as well. Not huge, but big enough. The decorating was well done and it had a pretty cool but small bar. Third-The food was amazing! I had an Irish coffee and it was made perfect. The coffee itself is phenomenal. Definitely get it. A must have visited on an off day. Hubbs & I stopped by for breakfast afyer a Dr visit. We arrived at approx 9:45. Not to busy with either breakfast or lunch on a Tuesday. Hubbs had the Sonoma Club which Hubbs really enjoyed. He specifically mentioned he liked the potatoes as well. I unfortunately did not have the same luck. I ordered the Traditional Day Starter-2 eggs, over medium please, with bacon. I did not care for the potatoes ( to brown-maybe needs new greese in the fryer? ) & the eggs. Oh, the poor Poor eggs. They had been placed on a WAY to hot grill & been cooked almost solid. The bacon was cooked flat, but was nothing special. I LIVE bacon & ate 1 slice only. I did speak to the waitress when she came by to check on us. I asked her to advise the cook that what he served me was not over medium eggs. They should not be fried to death! Whites set and the yolk runny. I don't mind a little firm yolk, but this was WAY overcooked! Now, I advised her POLITELY! There's Never a reason to speak poorly to others! She asked to bringg me new eggs, but I declined.... I don't want them to waste another set of eggs trying to cook them over. I assured her I only wanted her to inform the cook, so he can do better with the next order. To my surprise, she removed the cost of the eggs from my breakfast, which I did not expect. Our waitress was soft spoken and lovely. She was attentive and apologetic, although she didn't need to be. I don't know if we'll return. There are just to many places to eat breakfast in Nashville, however this is my 2nd try having breakfast and neither breakfast was anything I'd wish to be served again. I tipped her appropriately for her service, not for the quality of the meal that she had no control over. Went for weekend brunch. Arrived around 11, and not many people were in the place, yet. We got seated immediately to 6 people table for just 2 of us. So, we got more than plenty of places. Server came shortly after we seated, and ordered coffee first while we take a look menu. As the restaurant name says, we decided to go for some egg item from menu since we thought that's what they are good at although there were a lot of other items on menu. We ordered omelette and porched egg both with hush browns. Porched egg was nice. Yolk was nicely half done, and when I put knife into it, yolk flow down, just perfectly done! Bacon on it was nicely crisp. Omelette was big, a lot of veggie and meat were inside. But egg was little too over done for my liking. If the egg was little softer, it was perfect. The waitress was very friendly and attentive, our coffee was always filled up whenever we wanted. By the time we left restaurant, 12 ish, the place was getting busier. I've been coming here about once a week for three years. When we first moved to Nashville, this easily became our go-to place for breakfast. I like their menu and appreciate the seasonal specialties. Waiters and managers are unfailingly polite and go the extra mile. That's one of the reasons I come back. I can't stress this enough. In the end, though, it comes down to the food. The kitchen is another issue. There seems to be inconsistencies back there. One day, I can go in and order soft-cooked eggs and get it. Another day, I have to send it back. Cooking eggs is just not that difficult! Why the inconsistency? Guessing, I would think there must be a lot of turn-over. Just when they get one cook properly trained, then they leave. Is it the pay? I ordered a hot chocolate that *looked* decadent but wasn't as good as the Swiss Miss I could've made at home. I am not a fan of eggs,but this dish made me rethink my decision of not liking eggs. Why did I order eggs if I am not a fan you ask? Well I wanted to explore the menu and see what the hype was about when it comes to omelettes. If you don't like cream cheese or bacon ( two of my favorite things) then maybe try something different. The pancakes were fluffy and better than some places that rave about their pancakes and the grits came out just right. They weren't runny nor were they a clump of inedible pieces. They were the perfect consistency throughout, add butter and sugar that's some good eating. I was stuffed by the time I left and very pleased with my visit. I know it's a chain restaurant,but this is one that I will always frequent. The waitress was very attentive and the manager was present and walked around asking about our service. The only negative was the bathroom,it could have used some tidying up. This location was easy to find right off the interstate. Although this breakfast joint is a chain and located all across the United States, its cozy vibe and health focused menu make it the perfect place to grab breakfast when traveling or with family. The menu is HUGE and is sure to have something for everyone. Take us for example, I ordered the egg white omelet with fruit. My husband got the chicken and waffles loaded with syrup, and my father went for the veggie omelet with hash browns. You see? There is truly something for everyone. The food was tasty, but it sort of tasted like upscale diner food. Were the eggs farm raised and the potatoes organic? Probably not, but it also fat surpassed McDonalds! Another Broken Egg Cafe is unlike most breakfast spots in the area because A) They have healthy options and B) They have a full bar. Here you will find a granola quinoa power bowl, gluten free pancakes, and egg whites. They also have a fun and fabulous drink menu. The bartenders that work here are upbeat and lively, ready to start your day with a mimosa or Bloody Mary, AND they serve much more than these breakfast alcoholic drinks. They have their own spiffy cocktail menu which is delightfully inviting and delicious. Come here for breakfast and you can indulge in a cucumber Bloody Mary made with cucumber vodka, a peach bellini, or tropical sangria made with coconut rum. They even have spiked cold brew. How's that for a drink cocktail! Due to the fact this location has healthy options (a rarity in Tennessee) and a full bar, you need to be prepared to wait. This is the biggest downfall of the restaurant. The wait times can get pretty long here because people like to camp out and enjoy their drinks. The staff is kind and updates you promptly, but if you are in a time crunch, this is probably not the best option for you. However, they have a fabulous bar in the back of the restaurant you can sit at. It also has an inviting view of the bartender's skills. Omg!!! This is my first visit to TN. We were passing through this area on our way to Jackson from Nashville. We stopped at 8&R for coffee, and this place was across the street. We decided to go in and check it out. Jagger gave us TOP NOTCH service and earned himself a fat tip. They had gluten-friendly pancakes on the menu, so it's the first time I've been able to eat pancakes in a restaurant in years!!!! So good! This space was small, but lovely, with a bar, high top tables, tables and booths. The restrooms were clean and well kept. While visiting Nashville my friends and I wanted to find a local breakfast restaurant. Another broken egg was a great choice for us. The staff was super friendly and nice and the place was aesthetically pleasing. I ordered the traditional breakfast which came with eggs, A choice of sausage or bacon a side of toast and a small plate of fruit for a small up charge. My friend ordered the guava French toast which consisted of French toast covered in Nutella and filled with a guava jam. This dish was delicious and surprisingly not as sweet as one might think. Service first... Nicole was awesome. Friendly and efficient and overall an outstanding experience with her. I ordered the biscuits and gravy which comes with two eggs and two sausage patties. The gravy was really thick and an odd color but really good with a bit of spice too. I enjoyed it and would get it again. For the timid who decide on food by looks and not taste, you may want to pass. The sausage had something sweet going on with it. I wasn't sure about it when eating and still not. Not bad but not good. She had the hash brown Benedict. Do yourself a favor and try these. Super good. We both had grits and they are really good. Date I say excellent . Really great food for decent prices!! Drinks menu looked nice I had a strawberry mimosa that was delicious but they also have spiked coffees! Only downside is that the wait was really long (Sunday around 11am) so I would suggest calling ahead to put your name on the list I got the eggs Benedict and it was really yummy and filling! My friend got the waffles and they said they were tasty as well. Pro tip: the non-downtown location has a ton of parking behind the buildings. It is easier to access and maneuver your car through that so I would skip trying to find a spot in front unless you see one readily available. read more

So it was one of those days where we himmed and hawed over where to go because nothing sounded good. We decided to try this and went in about 1:15pm. They stopped seating tables, but said the bar was open. So we sat the bar. The server/bartender, Richard was on point from the moment we walked up! He suggested for us to sit in a different spot that was clean. Offered us waters first and a whole bunch of people sat down after us. He kept his cool and got to everyone, apologized to people for any wait. Made suggestions of what to drink and eat, had friendly banter with folks. Anyway, I got the Grande mimosa, it was good! I ordered the mixed berries waffle with eggs and andoile sausage. The spice butter that came with the waffle just made the dish! So good. The sausage was really good!! Little bit of spice. They put you down on a waitlist and text you when your table is ready. There is a bar so you can grab drinks while you wait. As soon as we were seated, our server was pretty quick to take our order. He was really friendly and attentive. The food did not take long to come out and it was really great. I ordered the Salmon avocado toast and it tasted fresh and delicious! My husband ordered the Broken Egg Biscuit Sandwich. The biscuit was buttery and the potatoes were not greasy and tasted amazing! The Lucy omlet was overcooked with a sliver of brown avacado on top of it. it's a big disappointment when you know you can do better at home for a fraction of the cost. Asked for lemon water. Told they are cutting lemons that never came out. Brought a dish with no egg. Out of boiled eggs. How long does it take to boil an egg? We've been here an hour so far. No salsa for one of the omlets. Glad they had this location opened up because the one downtown is always too busy. And you can get on the waiting list through yelp which makes it better. They do get busy for brunch and is only open til 2pm on Sundays. Not sure about the other days. I love that they had so much to choose from which can be frustrating because you want everything on the menu because it all sounds so good. From the drinks to the food i kept going back and forth on what i wanted to eat or drink. But i was really pleased with my meal. And our waitress Grace was Awesome!!! read more
