That was a few years ago and while my over all skin is much more supple something terrible was happening to my hands. Most likely a combination of caustic hand soaps and inefficient lotions, and with the addition of using much more sanitizer than ever before, my hands were desperately dry, swollen, cracked and itched like you wouldn't believe. I was truly suffering. I decided to see Dr. Nikbaht at Jefferson Dermatology a few weeks ago. She immediately put me on a steroid and also added light therapy which is something I'd never heard of. I go in now three days a week and spend just a few seconds with my hands in the light box. They increase my exposure to the light more each time. I've had three treatments so far and with the cream my hands are dramatically better. Best of all they no longer itch. I am a very happy patient.

When I came back after two minutes, she was gone, so I just kept on waiting until she came out again. Finally I saw her and she said to follow up after two months if the condition persisted. After two and a half month I messaged her to tell her my condition was still present. It took her 8 days to finally get back to my question. During that time, there was no reply from any nurse, no nothing. She told me to follow up in another month if the condition still had not disappeared. Another month had passed and it has not, so I messaged her again about the follow up. It's been over 3 days and now it's Friday night, meaning I won't hear anything until next week maybe. In my own experience, Dr. Neda Nikbakht is uncaring and can't be bothered and will just leave you in the dark.

I was told they'd call back in case they weren't able to get the referral pushed through with my doctor... nothing heard so I assumed it was good to go and woke up at 5:30am to get here only to be turned away for no referral. The building is pretty; the scheduling and execution of appointments have wasted about 6 hours of my time with nothing to show for it.
