At this place I'm not sure she even touched one pressure point during the rub. It was fast hard movements at times painful. I told her 3 times to ease up on the pressure. As others said there is a language barrier, plus I pointed out the word "reflexology" at the start of the "rub" and I got a nod., thinking ok, she must know what to do...So anyways. He left the room multiple times--at least three and tried to continue the massage while on the phone. As a result, my session was cut short and felt very unprofessional. When I checked out, I explained the situation to the staff member at the front desk. She simply laughed, said "oh sorry," and then attempted to charge me an additional $20. I declined, as the service I received was already incomplete and disruptive and it was different from the price they have posted. This is not my first visit to Happy Feet, but it was by far the most disappointing. The lack of professionalism and dismissive response to my concerns were unacceptable. I will not be returning.

During the neck massage I noticed my sinuses started draining. I generally have earaches with sinus congestion, and I believe the work she was doing released a lot of the pressure I've struggled with this winter. I had a couple of days of recovery from the muscle work and sinus drainage, but it's all been worth it in the end. And I really appreciated her sharing her knowledge of health and wellness. I was going to one in Greenville but found Jan right here in Simpsonville less than 2 miles from me! Jan is fantastic and a professional. Since this was my first appointment with Jan, I decided to have a reflexology massage (feet) just to see if we were a good fit. To my surprise, she focused on both the feet and hands. OMG, the warm towels and the lavender oil, the soothing music exceeded my expectations. My feet hadn't been manipulated since leaving MD and after Jan massaged them I swear the life returned back to my feet! My feet haven't felt this good in years! I mean she gets in between the toes, ankles, stretches the foot, she didn't skip a beat. Awesome experience! I can't wait to have my next appointment with Jan for an integrated deep tissue massage. The older one uses smooth strokes, good technique, pressure, etc. The younger one does a lot of rhythemic poking and just isn't that good. She needs more training and to improve her technique. The only good thing I can say about the younger one (who I unfortunately had tonight) is she's better looking. You never know which one you'll get, I've been here several times.
