We had a couple of bids to paint the house and decided to let CertaPro have a shot at it. I called…read moreto schedule a bid and they had someone over the next afternoon. The bid was very competitive and we awarded them the contract. Lukanka (the manager) and Nabor (team leader) brought over a crew of 4 and I could not have been more pleased with their work, attention to detail, and professionalism! We even added a couple of rooms during the process and they completed them while on the job, instead of coming back at a later date. During the painting of the kitchen, they accidentally damaged a portion of the new granite countertop. They brought it to our attention as soon as it happened and my wife was on the phone with their insurance company's adjuster within 2 hours of the incident! Are you kidding me?? I have never had a contractor address a problem so quickly! Kudos guys! I highly recommend CertaPro for any of your painting needs! And if that's not enough for you, Ryan Lemond recommends them too!

I can see this company doing well with certain jobs, like new construction. But they do not do well…read morewith an older home that already has layers of paint on it. Their painters are not company employees - they are subcontractors (like I guess most painting companies) and they have good ones and they have not so good ones. Sadly, we got the not so good ones who actually left our house looking worse than before they started. To begin with, they "prepped" our house by taking a pressure washer to it to knock the loose paint off (rather than scraping and sanding like you are supposed to do). Their method did indeed knock off loose paint - and covered our entire property with paint chips. Even after trying to clean it up twice, we have tiny paint chips everywhere. We are never going to be able to clean this mess up. But then they also hit the sides of our house with the pressure washer even though they were only painting the soffits and the porch. The sides are cedar shingle and can be damaged by pressure washers, which is exactly what happened. They wrecked numerous shingles and it's impossible to repair them. Finally, they just simply did a shoddy job - the contract called for them caulking certain areas (which they didn't do) and applying two coats of paint (they only did one). It looked terrible. They also painted our porch and didn't bother to block it off when they were done. So of course, the mailman walked right across the fresh paint. When I complained to the manager she said they never block off residential porches after painting them (what?!?!). The only good thing about this company was that management responding very quickly, admitted that their subs did an awful job, and sent out a new team a week later that actually did a great job repairing and redoing what they could and putting the second coat of paint on that we had paid for. Everything now looks great, with the exception of the damaged shingles that can't be repaired and the paint chips everywhere. Had we gotten the second guys initially, this probably would have been a much better experience. It is a shame this company prioritizes getting more jobs done by using unqualified painters than just sticking with subs who know what they are doing.
