Normally they offer discounts and right I was. Tyres can be expensive, so why not choose wisely. They have a small office. I entered and found two people operating behind the front desk. Both were very welcoming and offered their help and a cup of tea/coffee from the vendor machine in the corner. I received several quotes: with and without insurance, for popular and branded models as well as for standard tyre makes. Luckily there was not much going on in the yard and they were all very willing to change my tyres right there, right then. I got a quote and decided to go for two new tyres after having been briefed on their current state, which was not so good. They explained why my tyres are old and the possible reason for not having a good grip on the road surface. I am giving this place a five star, because the service was fast, efficient, friendly, quick and affordable.

My car is only 4 years old and doesn't have that many miles, so everything should still be fine. Kwikfit however failed the MOT telling the front breaks are releasing unevenly and suggested the brake disks would need to be replaced. They refused to give me estimated costs for this, but I found out online they would be charging about 400 pounds to have that done. I doubted the failure however and went to another garage and had this point looked into. They told me the breaks were fine and release of the front-breaks was spot-on. I had the MOT done in yet another garage who also confirmed the breaks were just fine and the MOT was passed without touching the breaks. I would avoid this Kwikfit at all costs. They do allow you to take a coffee in the waiting area which is nice but doesn't make up for them trying to deceive me.

My husband arrived in plenty of time and was told the car had to be in at 8am. Garage refused to complete MOT but do service. Husband spent the morning going back and forth to garage. Terrible experience and wasted a Christmas weekend due to their incompetence and poor communication. Would not recommend.

It's situated in the Pentland Industrial Estate, just outside the ring of the bypass, and not far from IKEA. Although it's a bit of a trek to get there, it's worth the trip. I've been to and from this garage many times since September. I help with a charity called Children's Holiday Venture, looking after their two LDV Convoy minibuses on a voluntary basis. This means that the buses both need checking every 6-8 weeks during term time, and taking in for repairs as and when required. Every time I have visited Lothian DAF with one of the minibuses, I have been impressed. It is primarily their service department that I have dealt with, which is headed up by a guy called Paul. He remembers who I am when I come in, which I find surprising in a large garage that must see hundreds of vehicles in a week. Repairs and checks have normally been carried out within a day, and it has always been done to a high standard. Staff at the garage have always been willing to provide advice on minibus-related matters, and answer any questions that we have had on repairs, problems or other issues. It is so great to see a garage that is trustworthy and valuing every single customer that comes through their doors. These guys are great, and for what we use them for, I can think of none better.
