You get one appointment a month for $10 less than the regular price, and get a discount on additional blowouts too and a few other perks. (There is also a Double Barfly which gives you two $10 discounted blowouts per month). I think I have had a different stylist each time I have been here, but they are all good. They ask questions about what you are wanting and you can select from a menu of styles. Free drinks and movies to watch also. Most of the time my hair looks good for nearly a week afterwards so it's been worth while. Easy to make appointments online (they have an app too, which I haven't tried yet, but intend to). You do have to provide a credit card for the cancelation policy but that is fair.

The girl didn't wash my hair well at all, the whole area around my head was still dry when she finished so I had to ask her to actually wash my hair again then she didn't rinse the soap out. I had to ask two more times to rinse it because I could touch my hair and bubbles were all over my fingers. Then she was the slowest/worst ever at blow drying. I only had an hour break and tried to help her because it was literally barely dry and she hadn't styled it at after an hour. They wouldn't let me help and I had to leave with half dry/frizzy/itchy unrinsed hair. They told me it was their first day and this was the first time doing loose curls the way he was doing them on my hair - well, there was no volume and the slight curls I had walking out were gone within the hour. Eye makeup, well the what I asked for vs received I won't post but many things were left out (brows, bottom shadow, liner, etc.) I was already there longer than the scheduled appointment (20min more) or would have tried to work with him on it. Honestly think the stylist could be amazing but was not prepared to take on everything they did for the first day. Hope management improves their onboarding with employees.

Bad experience and would not go back. Here is why…read more I had scheduled a time/day to get my hair cut. The stylist took 6 hours (no exaggeration) to do my hair. It got to the point where it was 10:00 p.m. and I just had to leave. I couldn't take it any more. She didn't even finish my hair all the way and she made me very uncomfortable. It wasn't until the next day that I realized just how bad my hair really was. My roots were not even touched and my hair was very uneven. To say that this was the worst haircut/dye that I have ever received, is an understatement. So naturally, I decided to go back to the salon and just ask them to fix it. I didn't make a big deal about it at all and I would have been fine just getting it fixed. Upon entering the salon the following day, I spoke with Jeff and explained my situation and how I requested to have my hair fixed. Jeff then proceeded to tell me that I would have to pay for another appointment...I politely explained the situation again and requested that my roots just be touched up and my uneven hair trimmed. Jeff stated he would have to speak to his supervisor (maybe, the owner?), Melissa and I would be contacted. Was I contacted? Nope. In fact multiple times I had to follow up and send multiple pictures to finally get another appointment scheduled. Luckily, when I came in and got my hair fixed, a new stylist fixed my hair and I was pleasantly relieved. It should be reiterated that no one including the supervisor, Melissa, the owner, or anyone ever contacted me to apologize including when I came back in person to get my hair fixed. In addition, I should also point out that whenever a stylist leaves the salon, the company sends out emails, and at times will explain why the stylist left. For one particular stylist, the email stated, "XXXX has left Willow Sage Salon on unfortunate terms. Her conduct has not been in line with our values, and we cannot continue working with her." In my opinion, this is unprofessional and these type of things should be kept in house. There is no need to air dirty laundry out to the public. By doing this, it doesn't reflect positively on the business and raises questions about the company and business practices. To summarize, all of this could have been easily avoided and I wouldn't have posted a review if better customer service would have been implemented. The owner or supervisor-anyone should have contacted me, apologized and resolved the problem immediately by booking another appointment. I shouldn't have had to continue to follow up multiple times etc. I will never go back. Do not recommend.

Go see Dannielle!…read more Dannielle has been doing hair for decades, and when it comes to cutting, coloring, and styling hair she is an expert. I can't give a review on a single experience, because she has been my stylist since I was a teenager (no need to add those years up let's move on), whether I was in Amarillo (where she was based at the time) or not. If I lived in Austin or Dallas, I would drive 5-8 hours for Dannielle to do my hair. When I lived in California, I would fly 3 hours. She is simply the best. She will listen to what YOU want you hair to look like and make that happen. If she knows that a look is impossible for your hair type, she will be honest with you about that and try to work out something else great for you. If she does something to you hair you don't like, you can tell her. She's very open and professional and she will do her best to address the issue. Aside from being an expert and consummate professional, Dannielle is also one of the most kind, generous, and truly good people I know. My family has been going to her for decades. At this point it's impossible to call her our stylist. She's an amazing close family friend. You will feel this warmth as soon as you sit in her chair. She truly gets to know each client personally, and that connection makes her a great stylist because she develops a relationship with your hair. That sounds weird, but she starts to remember what you and your hair need every time you come back. Quick story: a few months ago she put an icy toner on my hair that totally did not work for my skin tone. I was like "girl NO. Get this out." And she immediately washed out that toner and put in the one I wanted. Same price for the service. This is just who Dannielle is. Once you sit in her chair, you'll never want to sit in another one.
