Dr. Harmandarian and Cassandra are the best! I felt as, soon as I entered the office, I seriously felt as if I was in a home. Home sweet home. Not just any home, a home full of life. Plants, books from Michelangelo to books from around the world and paintings. Two sofas, as in a museum, yet a really comfortable setting, where you can get lost reading and looking at these beautiful books and forget you even have a cell phone, haha. Entering into the dental room, their were more paintings and I can't forget, the tunes! From Marvin Gaye, the Gypsy Queens and Mana, it was definitely an A list of musicians and very much culturally diverse. This I would say just made my teeth cleaning, which I was 2 months over do, that much more relaxing. One exceptional element that stood out, was that Dr. Harmandarian cleaned my teeth as if she was a fine artist. Smooth, took her time, yet finished in no time. Dr. Harmandarian is truly amazing at her job. As I paid and headed on my way out, I asked her about this Albert Enstein fine art panting, I liked so much. I asked her, who had painted it. What do I know, she told me, she did. Makes sense! I said with a smile : ) As I was leaving the office, I was given a toothbrush pack by Cassandra and thanked by Dr. Harmandarian and Cassandra for stopping by. Great, no nonsense dentist. She gets the job done and won't try to push extra services on you like some do. I appreciate that. I also really like the text reminders and online forms. I hadn't been to a dentist in over a decade. Naturally, I was scared I'd have a mouthful of cavities or worse. My friend had just had a routine cleaning with Dr. Harmandarian and suggested her because she and her staff are so friendly, the office is so clean and quiet, and the price for patients without dental insurance is affordable. Needless to say, I had a mouthful of cavities. Dr. H was kind enough to walk me through my x-rays, explaining the work I'd need to have done. And it's been extensive work. But we're doing a cavity at a time, cleaning along the way. I can already tell the difference in my smile. Anna is the nicest, most kind dentist I have ever met. I am absolutely clownishly phobic of dental work (very seriously-- I talk about it in therapy lol) and Anna is so so nice and understanding and doesn't make me feel bad or awkward. If you are afraid of dentists or have neglected your teeth and are feeling worried about getting a scary lecture this is the right dentist for you. Can not recommend this practice highly enough. By far one of the Best experiences by chance. I read great reviews on yelp and decided to give this cute-homey place a shot. I guess you can call it a NEW HOTT SPOT in Eagle rock. Scheduling was easy and Parking was easy. Just my kinda spot! Upon walking in, I was greeted by the assistant who was super sweet. She took care of my paperwork and did my X-Rays while my hubby was filling out his paperwork. Then I met Dr.Anna Harmandarian, she was so nice and made me feel right at home. We had such wonderful conversations which helps put anyone at ease. She did my cleaning and complemented my teeth & nail design. She was thoughtful enough to put some Johnny Cash hits during my cleaning session which also made my hubby feel a bit more comfortable. Personal touches like these make her a winner! Dr. Anna Harmandarian was excellent in our eyes, that we were talking about her throughout the night. Her prices are very competitive and even the hubby liked the service (which is rare for him). After many bad experiences at various dentists, I am so grateful that I found Dr. Harmandarian. I saw her for the first time last week. I told her that I was a bit nervous and she and her assistant made me feel comfortable right away. I usually leave the dentist upset or anxious, but this time I left with a big smile on my face. Dr. Harmandarian listened to my concerns and what I wanted. She gave me different options and didn't try to upsell with things that I don't need. Overall it was a great experience and 100% recommended. Note on COVID: The office clearly takes COVID very seriously. I was the only patient in the office during my visit. I was allowed to enter only when they were ready to see me and both the dentist and the assistant were in full PPE. They also sent my paperwork beforehand in order to minimize my time in the office. I know this won't be a popular review but I can promise it's honest. I called this dentist about 6 months ago based on Yelp reviews. I called and asked if they took denti-cal and was told yes they sure do and we scheduled the appointment. So I brought my 17 year old in and after seeing the dentist was told she has many cavities that need to be filled and they 2 were real bad and she wasn't sure she could even fill them. But we made the next appointment to start the process. Came for the work to begin only to have the dentist tell me she really doesn't take denti-cal anymore (mind you this is 3 weeks after I called and asked if they did and they said yes and I came in) and my daughter needs a lot of work and I was pretty thrown off by this. My daughter has massive dental fears and the speaking of all their personal stuff the entire time you are there is a little unsettling. But if it doesn't bother you to have to hear about the staffs personal stuff then this will be fine. It somewhat made my daughter feel uneasy and like they weren't focusing on the work they were doing. So we filled one and made the next appointment after the dentist again said "I'll take her and finish the work because we took you in but normally I wouldn't be doing this". Was really bizarre frankly. I'm a very easy going person and wanted to love this office. But here's where it gets worse. Third visit we make that appoint and are told the tooth that was filled on the second visit needs a root canal if it still hurts and we don't do those so why don't you call this place and while you are there see if they can finish your fillings since you have about 4 more. So that would mean we were told she had 6 fillings to handle. We make that appointment at the place referred and they seem shocked we were told she needs a root canal and she's fine. It was a deep filling and needed time to heel. So I find a new dentist and they do X-rays like Dr. Harmandarian did and was shocked when they showed me her X-rays. First off she had only 1 filling to do. So that's a total of 3 fillings needed and she has a baby tooth still in her mouth and above that is the tooth that was suppose to come in growing side ways in her skin and she needs both taken out asap. I mean I'm shocked that they didn't even mention this. They did X-rays of her whole mouth. I would not go here I'm sorry. I also attached the X-ray done at new dentist showing the baby tooth that had grown sideways in her mouth but someone removed the photo. This dentist never even mentioned or saw this tooth nor did Dentist Anna even mention that my child needs braces. Not sure what happened here but it how the reviews are do great, I have a feeling it's friends because the dentist is friendly but we needed a honest dentist. read more

I have been coming to Dr. Harmandarian's office for just about 6 months now, and it has been the most pleasant experience one could have from a dental office. I used to hate going to the dentist, but Dr. Harmandarian, Marija and Cassandra have changed my view. I am always greeted with a smile and taken in almost immediately. The staff always has a positive attitude. Appointments are quick and easy to schedule. They even give a courtesy call as a reminder and have a text option as well. I was having pain in one of my teeth so I called the office. After speaking to Dr. Harmandarian she immediately called my local CVS and filled a prescription until my next appointment. I called Dr. Anna Harmandarian for an emergency consultation, after feeling experiencing a toothache. Dr. Harmandarian was very accommodating to my urgency and I was able to book an appointment for the following morning. Her dental assistant Kassandra was very gentle when taking my X-Rays and Dr. Harmandarian was able to explain to me the source of my problems in terms that I could understand. Given that I grew up hating dentist like may do, I was extremely satisfied with their friendliness and flexibility.
