I was told that they are very selective about who they hire and that all of their counselors are fully licensed by the stare, accept most major health insurance plans, and are very experienced in lots of different specialities such as Depression, Anxiety, and Relationship problems, to name a few. They also don't have your typical run-down offices, rather their waiting room and therapy offices are super clean and nice. And get this...not only do they offer same and next-day appointments, (including before-work, lunchtime, after-work, and evenings) but they actually answer the phone!! Imagine that? So if you are looking for someone understanding to talk to, save yourself the trouble of having to leave 20 voicemails just to have only a few counselors call you back and either tell you that they're full or not accepting insurance, and just call Thriveworks.

This was odd as it was my first appointment ever, but life happens, I just assumed it was for a good reason, no problem. So I try texting him to set up another appointment but his communication is spotty at best so I set up an appointment through the main phone number instead. At the appointment he did seem like he may be able to help and he emphasized that if I need to set up an appointment to feel free to contact him directly, which I tried to do with no response, so I called the main number again to set up another appointment and roughly 2 hours before my appointment time he texted me saying he would be canceling today's appointment. So now at this time he has cancelled 2 out of the 3 appointments I set up. I try to be understanding and patient so I text him saying to the exact effect of; "Hey, I understand life hits hard sometimes and I understand missing work, ive missed way too much myself, so I certainly understand, but with that being said I just wanted to know if this is pretty normal to cancel appointments like this, and it's to be expected or if maybe I just happened to join at a bad time, and this is not the usual?" No response for three days. I finally try one more time, so I text him after 3 days and ask if he has any appointments available this week, he ignores my other messages completely, but replies and says "Yes I think so, I'll let you know very shortly" that was the final message he sent me over 3 days ago, I still haven't heard back from him. In summary: 2/3 appointments i have made have been cancelled, and the therapist will actively ignore your text messages and concerns. If you are looking for help, then do yourself a favor and dont go here, i havent left a yelp review in my entire life, but if I can save 1 single person needing help, from this horrible experience I will, by posting my review on every site possible.

My son has been there two times and this last time was awful they put him on Adderall and adavian together . His mental health doctors said he should have never been put on Adderall at all . It is a teaching institute but all therapist have an experienced therapist that they are held accountable to. I was going through a custody dispute and was ordered into therapy. The payments are based on income which is a lifesaver! It seems like i was told that the therapist wouldn't be able to come to court with me but I am not sure. The opposing side really didn't care if I had therapy or not. It was just another stall tactic on their part. They actually were trying to force me to see their recommended therapist but i refused to . The only down side was the therapist I was seeing graduated from the program so she was unable to see me. She didn't feel like I really needed therapy because I was already doing everything. I needed to be doing before I started. She talked me down a few times when my anger made violence become a real good option. She introduced me to the thrapist who was taking her cases but I never went to see him. No matter who you see just please avoid Kim Rosebourgh at Turning Leaves therapy at 601 W main street Spartanburg SC. She needs her licence revoked and possibly jail time for child abuse and fraud. She is not a good person and definitely not a good therapist. Unless you want to pay 125.00 per hour for your child to be sent into a "playroom" to color or "meditate" while she sits on her butt playing on her phone. Which is better than forcing a child to scream at themselves in the mirror that they are mad at their mother when they are absolutely not mad. She did this to my 11 year old daughter..also forced her to say that i was a drug addict even though there was no proof of that. I feel like even if a parent was atruggling with addiction a child should not be subjected to that. So yes, my review is a compare and contrast..in this case you do not get what you pay for. The therapist at Westgate are not going to charge you an arm and leg but you will get far better treatment. Kim will rip you off and laugh in your face.

My case was closed my therapist who "cared" about me refuses to respond to messages, emails and voice mails. I was let go with a plan that was not well thought out. I have no therapist now and am suffering major depression, anxiety and confusion. Any ask for help from her is ignored. If you choose this place, keep your guard up, don't believe them when they say they care. Realize once they are not making money off you they'll drop you like you never ex sister.
