So we just finished settling in after arriving in Naples, Italy and we decided to take a stroll down Via Toledo right off of Plaza Plebiscito. Now Via Toledo is one of the more popular streets in Napoli and I came to find out that aside from taking you straight in to the popular Spanish Quarter district, it also is home too many of the most expensive homes / apartments in Napoli as well. Pretty sure their are other great areas but this is definitely one of them. On our walk we strolled in to the "Galleria Umberto I" shops and ran in to Anna Bellavita caffe and we decided to stop in. Nothing like a quick Italian coffee outing with some croissants and pastries to take the edge off and make everything all better. The setting was pretty cool as being tucked away inside the Galleria which in itself is very cool and a must see, they provided us with very good service and were pretty attentive. Also noticed that there were plenty of locals having their coffees "Al Fresco" same as we were which is typically the sign of a legit establishment. Not many tourists while we were there that I could see but plenty of activity and a good time to people watch and take in the sights and sounds of Neapolitans going about their day.
Outside of a couple of Caffe Latte's and Machiatto's, we ordered some croissants and some gelato's which were all fresh and very tasty. I don't think they make any of it on site but not to worry as it is pretty hard to get bad coffee, croissant or pizza anywhere in Naples. Not taking away anything from this establishment though as it was very clean, and the staff were very attentive as well. All in all it was a great place to have a bite and relax for a bit before continuing our stroll though the Spanish Quarter. Should you find yourself in the area make sure to stop in at the "Galleria Umberto I" and check it out for yourself and feel free to visit Anna Bellavita as I don't think you will be disappointed. Hey startup a conversation with the locals and you may make some fiends while you are at it. Enjoy and Bon Appétit! read more
