I wanted to write an update mostly because of the fact that another, very popular market opened…read moredown the street and a lot of people have been bypassing Lotte in favor of it. (You know what store I'm talking about... starts with an H) Fine, but my personal observation especially based on the visit I made last week is that even though the other market is being hyped up by social media; Lotte is still a better, and more affordable market. Granted, the food court choices at the other location are better, I'd still come to Lotte when I need specific asian ingredients. It seems they're aware that theres more competition and they've not only done renovations to the store but they have a lot more specials now than before. The day we went they even had several people promoting products and giving out samples. I don't recall them ever doing that before and I think that's a great idea to boost sales in items. I look forward to shopping here in the future.

Lotte Plaza Market is not your typical supermarket--it's an entire experience. From the moment you…read morepull in, one thing becomes clear: this place operates on a completely different scale. The parking lot is spacious and easy to navigate, which already sets the tone for a smooth, stress-free visit. Once inside, you quickly realize just how expansive this market truly is--you could easily spend an hour (or more) exploring every aisle without even noticing the time go by. What makes this market stand out is its depth and authenticity. As an Asian supermarket, it offers an extraordinary range of products that go far beyond what you'll find in standard grocery stores. The produce section alone is worth the visit--fresh, vibrant fruits and vegetables, many of which are unique or hard to find elsewhere, are beautifully displayed and constantly restocked. As you move through the aisles, you'll discover an impressive selection of: Specialty herbs, spices, and seasonings Authentic sauces and condiments from across Asia An entire world of noodles, rice varieties, and pantry staples A wide assortment of snacks, beverages, and imported goods If you're cooking Asian cuisine, you will find absolutely everything you need here--no exceptions. It's the kind of place where both home cooks and seasoned food lovers can get inspired just by walking through the aisles. Beyond groceries, Lotte Plaza Market feels more like an international marketplace. You'll find plants, beauty products, and specialty items, adding to the overall experience and making it more than just a place to shop--it's a place to explore. A helpful tip: since many items are imported, be mindful to check expiration dates on packaged goods, and keep an eye out for promotions. Some products can be on the pricier side, but there are definitely great deals if you take a moment to browse. One of the highlights--and honestly one of the main reasons I return--is the indoor food court-style dining area. There are several small eateries where you can order directly at the counter. While the setup is casual and straightforward, the food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and satisfying--perfect for a quick and delicious stop during your visit. To elevate the experience even further, the market also features a French bakery, along with beauty boutiques and a hair salon, giving it the feel of a small international plaza rather than a traditional grocery store. Overall, Lotte Plaza Market delivers on every level--selection, authenticity, and experience. Whether you're shopping for specific ingredients, discovering new products, or simply stopping in for a quick bite, it's absolutely worth the visit. Even if you're not familiar with Asian cuisine, this is the kind of place you go to explore, learn, and enjoy something different. If you haven't been yet, I highly recommend making the trip--you'll understand why the moment you walk in.

H Mart is the only place in orlando that carries TOKYO BANANA…read more Tokyo Banana is a Banana cake twinkie with real banana custard inside. It is known to be a popular souvenir if you ever visit Tokyo Japan and they say they sell these in limited areas and at the airport of Tokyo. These are stored in the chest freezer cooler on the floor. They are usually $14.99 but they were on sale for $12.99 the time I got them. I heard these are $7.99 in Tokyo LOL. Anyway this day it was crowded and they had a few floor samples of items they sell. Some were dumplings, rice cake soup, hawaiian juices as examples. I was in and out cause of the crowds but I snatched packets of miso soup, the Tokyo Banana and rice crackers. Hmart offers a rewards program so sign up when you can to get couppns etc! I always enjoy shopping here but it can get overwhelming and crowded. As far as ready to eat foods - I heard the meat bento boxes some are spoiled tasting. But the Kimbap I have enjoyed. So just be mindful of the meat bentos.

Eventually, I settled on a Korean BBQ called Myung Ga. I wanted to get Bulgogi Bimbimbap. I will admit that the person behind the register was not overly friendly or welcoming. However, I believe the woman running the kitchen and potentially the owner was very friendly. The food there was resonably priced for what you get for $18. As for the store itself, it is huge, with so much to see and browse. They have a huge selection of pretty much everything and anything Asian. We picked up a few things because we were unfortnately in a rush. We wished we had scheduled more time here to explore. I ate one of their pre-made lobster rolls last night, and it was very tasty! I will be back again to actually browse each aisle and pick up more items.

White shining walls and good quality art on the walls. very rare such a thing. Shelves and refrigerators organized very well, sparse, wide isles, all very visible, all very well presented. Excellent quality of products: fresh and good looking. This is a double valued store: 1. People who are not born in US, and are used to a certain type of specific food (like Balkans, eastern Europe, Middle East, Turkish, even far east, etc.) find here an amazing selection of the best things they're missing. because here in the South such type of food are inexistent. People do not know them. Yes, up north there are thousands of stores like this. We call this "Nostalgic food". Also, at the Flea Market, the Greek store doesn't have anymore such types of things, so the value and uniqueness of Laziza is enhanced. 2. For all of us Americans born in the US, we find here a friendly invite to try and taste savories, sensational new types of deli, dessert, treats, BBQ, pastry, cakes, etc. I promise you, give it a try, you will be pleasantly surprised. I love the "Turkish Delight" and they have a large selection of mixture with all sorts of nuts, almonds, pistachio, etc. I also highly recommend the caviar, cheap and fresh and highest quality. The personnel is amazing. Pam and Aidnon are extremely helpful, cool, nice, friendly. I go there every week and I refill my pantry. Unique!! Highly recommended from my heart.
