Just discovered this place. Angkor in the East end and Thai Basil in the North. Both wonderful restaraunts. I usually order my chicken fried rice here as they make it like the old Lee's Chop Suey on Avonhurst that is now closed I believe. The recipe can be found at a few places, but like the dark brown sweet and sour spareribs found in only a few places in Regina, you have to look around. Their fresh rolls are very good as well and gluten-free/vegetarian options are clearly marked on the menu. The staff are incredibly accommodating and informed as they want you returning as a valued customer. They are very professional and kind. You can order for immediate pickup or schedule a time for later pickup via the online ordering pickup option. Dine in if you like as Ankor is a fair sized establishment. Enjoy the atmosphere and the traditional tapestry on the was is fascinating! So many dishes to choose from. I highly recommend. Disappointed. Ordered their rice vermicelli and Thai green curry. The rice vermicelli was standard fare, though inclusion of what appeared to be sausage bits was odd. The Thai curry was the the worst I've ever had. With a consistency of snot, having frozen cubed carrots and peas, mushy egg plant and chewy chicken I had to say something (was told maybe I "just have not had that kind of curry"- I speak Thai and lived there, and yes, I've never had that kind). Curry was also served with plain white table rice- first time I've ever not been served Jasmine with Thai curry. Giving two stars as "Regina Asian food" around me (spring rolls, sweet and sour, ginger beef- you know the stuff) looked passable, and fast kitchen service... Just stay away from their Thai. read more

Despite what they may say, this is your average Chinese restaurant. If you've got a hankering for chicken balls and MSG, stop in. Service is fast and the food is hot. Last time I was in I got takeout and they everything ready within 20 minutes. They have quite a large and thorough menu, so you have good selection. Like I said before, this is your traditional Canadian-Chinese restaurant. If you're looking for an authentic Asian experience or some Korean food, keep rolling. Bad! Very bad! This is a Chinese restaurant in disguise as a Khmer/Thai restaurant. I had the green chicken curry, it was not even close to proper thai curry. The taste, constancy and ingredients were all wrong. I have been to SE Asia a few times. The very name of this restaurant is an insult to Khmer/Thai cuisine. We ate there tonight. Fresh rolls were anything but fresh. The rice paper was so chewy we had to spit some out. I had hot pot and there was a thick layer of grease on top and no flavor. I ordered the Chicken cashew and salt & pepper seafood dishes. Everything was fresh and tasty with lots of chopped vegetables. I've noticed asian restaurants in Regina will have a plethora of food items attempting to cover many different cultures on the menu. ( Ex: Chinese, Vietmanese, Thai, Combodian, etc.). so I asked... The waitress was very nice and explained the owner/chef is chinese but has lived in Vietnam and Thailand. So one can expect not every item on the menu will be on par to what you would expect from a traditional restaurant. read more

Rude arrogant and slow. This place used to be wall to wall people and I wondered why it's so empty. Yeah. 45 minutes and they couldn't even manage to get our spring rolls to the table - and there was only us and two other tables in the huge vacant restaurant. The owner appears to be more concerned with counting the cash than serving the customers. Never again -we walked out. read more

Food was very quick and yummy! I got a combination plate for $12 and there was so much food; I was impressed with the generous sizes. My husband got medium pad Thai and thought it was seasoned perfectly-just the right amount of spice. definitely worth checking out! read more

Won't feed babies!!! F'n awful people. Terrible service. Walked in and the lady was so rude. No smile and extremely curt. Asked for a small bowl of soup and noodles to feed my infant was told they won't do that. I said I just wanted a small bowl, not even a couple ounces. Said I'd pay $4 or how ever much. They said no. I immediately left. Before leaving I let the lady in charge know the waitress was not accommodating (she didn't care) so I said I would be leaving a review online and she gave her same resting nasty face and said okay. I was not feeling well and decided that wonton soup with hot sauce would be good to clear my sinuses. I phoned in my order. I was told it would take 20 minutes. When I arrived even though I was standing there first, she took 2 sit down customers ahead of me. The bill said $8.35 which she said when I first walked in. I asked if the hot sauce was in the bag. She said no and served another customer. She then got me my hot sauce and told me the total was $8.95 I said fine. She then gave me $10.05 change from a 20. I was so achy I just wanted to get out of there. I was afraid if I said something she would have taken another customer. This is the last time I eat there. read more
