Well, if you make the poor decision to patronize this establishment, make sure your credit line will cover it or bring extra cash because this neighborhood beauty parlor charges high end strip hotel spa prices unjustifiably! Yesterday was my second time coming to this salon and both times I got Jeff (I believe thats his name). The first time I came in I had not got a hair cut in such a long time and I had no idea what i was gonna do but both Angie and Jeff recommended I get a butterfly/wolf style cut. I absolutely loved it. So i put off cutting my hair for another 8 months ( because im horrible with this kinda stuff) or so and this time I decided to go for a wolf cut and Jeff did not disappoint! He did an amazing job and I love my cut! The staff at the salon were also such welcoming people and soo nice! If the first time coming here i thought i would definitely come back, this second time around I've decided no one else is aloud to touch my hair except the staff here at Angie's Salon. A customer looked over and said "if I was a cosmetologist I wouldn't do EVERYONES hair" unless your hair is relaxed and two inches long don't bother. Jeffery was my stylist and he is so talented and friendly. Great sense of humor too. I have short hair and it's very thin. Finding a stylist that can give me an edgy haircut and not an old lady hair cut is a challenge. Jeff nailed it! My day I was having I was going to go two Great clips on Town center in Charleston right by my work. The service was completely awful as soon as I called and asked if they did walk-in service or we had to schedule an appointment The lady was talking to me like I was stupid and she hung up on me. I went over there just to wait and see if I can still get my hair done after a long day working and I had to walk out of Great clips because I did not appreciate the service. They made very little eye contact with me and I just had to walk out. I called this place at Angie salon they picked up the phone immediately and said to come over and we'll make your hair beautiful and I feel beautiful The service was just absolutely amazing especially Jeffrey Oliver who had done my hair. He gave me a butterfly haircut complimented my hair had goofy questions that were such a good vibe to me if I dyed my hair no I didn't dye my hair I am German and my hair is blonde but because I have native blood in me My hair is dark towards the top. He made me laugh he made me smile he kept me company having conversations with me and I absolutely loved it here. Anything you want to talk about they will conversate with you and let alone if you do not want a conversate they feel that energy from you. I love this place so much and I bought one of their products I cannot wait to try it when I get home It is worth the pay it is worth everything that you can imagine yourself going to and it feels comfortable they're quick and they pay attention to detailing with your hair. I went to get a bob, since I saw they had good reviews and pictures of great looking bobs. I asked for Jeffrey , as that was the recommendations. Ughh , I regret it so much. I asked for a bob , bob looks shitty to be honest. I didn't ask for a short bob , now I'm stuck with this. I hope my hair grows back ASAP !!! He said , he was going to use a blade to do the bob (he didn't use scissors)I asked why he said . Over processed my hair to the point of it breaking off. Had my hair process bleach for over two hours. When I asked to rinse it out (after seeing my hair was stringy and falling out) I was told no. Had to have my boyfriend come in and make up a fake excuse on why we had to leave. Charged $502 for all of this just for it to STILL be uneven and FRIED. When I got home, I was pulling more clumps out. When I called the next day, I was told that it was my own fault for leaving early, but if I hadn't I wouldn't of had the hair that I still do have. I had to go to a different salon to cut off over an inch of dead hair because of this salon read more

Like most, I was anxious to get my hair cut since it's been over a year since I've last had one. This was my first time here and it won't be my last as long as Jeffrey is still here. I was looking to get a long wolf cut, and from the reviews, Jeffrey was the guy to go to. I had an AM appt assigned w/ Jeffrey but they started washing and cutting my hair a little late, which I was okay and patient with. I don't blame him cuz his previous client asked him to make a few modifications to her hair right after he was done styling it for her. He made sure she was happy with the end result, which I understand, and that I respect. While I was waiting, he checked in on me and gave me reassurance that he would take his time and make sure I was happy with my haircut too when it was my turn, in which he did. I have to give Clara credit too, cuz she washed and shampooed my hair and made me feel relaxed and comfortable while I was waiting. Quick note: the salon gave a nice clean vibe, bright and welcoming, well kept. I have to give 5+ stars to Jeffrey tho! Uhm... so I scheduled an appointment at 9:30 For Thursday, July 29th, and apparently, Angie was not there for my appointment date. I walked in and some lady told me she would not be here till next Tuesday. The lady was nice enough offering to cut my hair regarding that she had a 10 am appointment- it was 9:23 when she asked me- I did not want her to cut it the fact that It might be rushed and it might overlap someone's appointment. Very bad communication towards scheduling. I would have not minded if the salon rescheduled me hours before or days before. The fact that I made time out of my day for my hair to be done, I'm pissed I don't trust my time coming back or recommend this place to someone. Just moved to Vegas from San Diego, with all the packing and planning to get here. My hair was way over due for a cut and refresh. I had a busy day and was trying to squeeze in a cut. I was on yelp and put a request in for a cut. Angie's salon got back immediately and I was able to schedule right away same day within an hour. Hannah gave me a beautiful refreshing haircut I needed. She was very nice and helpful with suggestions, but also listened to what I wanted. My hair felt amazing afterwards I was very happy with the end result. I wanted to like Angie's more than I actually do. They respond quickly to appointment requests and have very courteous and friendly staff. They also are located in a spot that is much more convenient for me than my previous hair dresser. So when my hair was cut crooked the first time around - I was optimistic and just assumed it was because I had told the stylist that I parted my hair to the side. This resulted in her cutting it while it was parted, which I also assume caused it to be vastly uneven when that part even slightly changed its placement (which hair parts do frequently, naturally). Still, I pressed on for another appointment, communicating clearly about the issue. I paid between $30-$35 for that initial cut with a generous tip. During this second appointment - to be fair - she showed me how my hair looked when it was cut and tried it parted in a couple different ways. I did make a hesitant face as it looked consistently uneven to me, but I wanted to trust her professional opinion. I even started reasoning that maybe if I curl it more on one side on my own, it would look even. She did end up cutting the longer side a little more, after I hesitated. But today, it's still quite uneven. This is partially on me for not trusting my own judgment and thereby being more assertive. However, this is the second time that an uneven cut has occurred at this salon, so I won't be coming back. Further, Angie's Salon has raised their prices significantly (I assume due to COVID) without any provided explanation. Again, this is something I could have asked for more information about rather than assuming, but I ended up being charged $50 for a single haircut. The nice-to-a-fault customer that I am, I still tipped $10 on top of that. Again, I share the blame in these interactions - I am sure that if I had been more assertive about my needs and perspective, they would have listened and accommodated. That is the only reason this is a three star, "A-OK" review instead of two. That said, it is not in my philosophy to return back to a salon that has cut your hair crooked - especially more than once. I am also keenly aware of other salons that are still charging in the $30-$40 price range, so I'll be checking those out. I do feel guilty writing this review as I am aware of the real world impacts of Yelp, but I also value sharing honest experiences. read more
