This doctor does not want to just prescribe medication like many other doctors do. She truly takes care of my soul. I would recommend this doctor to anybody who is looking for deep healing at the root of the issue, as opposed to just symptom management. And her office smells really nice. I recommend this doctor most highly!

A second marriage for both us, we engaged Laura, prior to our wedding not due to any acute crisis but to become more mindful of our own histories and how these might impact the relationship. One of the many insights gained working with Laura over the years is that each partner is responsible for 100% of their 50% of the relationship (LOVE that!!). We were also familiar with the book, Getting the Love Your Want by Harville Hendrix and Helen LaKelly Hunt, best known for co-creating Imago Relationship Therapy. Laura is a certified practitioner of Imago, blending it with her unique style of facilitation. Imago offers many relationship building blocks, such as mirroring and sharing appreciations that fundamentally changed how we communicate. In many ways, Laura is like a relationship coach, holding us accountable for our respective 100% that we each bring to the relationship. Our marriage continues to thrive and benefit from our time and investment with Laura!

What sets him apart is his ability to think outside the box. He's not practicing with blinders on or hiding behind a degree -- he brings genuine curiosity, a growth mindset, and a well-rounded perspective that you can feel the second the conversation starts. He connects the dots in ways most providers don't even attempt. His energy is authentic, his approach is refreshing, and he restored something I honestly thought the healthcare system had taken from me: trust. If you feel like you're done trying -- go see him. Anyone who says otherwise probably doesn't understand the value of someone who genuinely wants to help you become the best version of yourself. Now, you can get the drugs...but no additional support. As a result, I was fully unsupported when my estranged Father died. I wound up struggling with my mental health, this resulting in a dissociative episode so severe that I was hospitalized. Do not trust them with anything as precious as your mental health. On the other hand? If what you really want is just a fun K-hole trip, even if you have no psych diagnosis? They're your plug. I participated in a group session back when they had therapists. And one "patient" happily shared that they "weren't depressed, or anxious, but really wanted to try Ketamine safely." Not very professional, is it?

When I went to my appointment it was canceled without any phone call or anything. It has taken a lot for me to be able to seek help, and it is truly debilitating when you reach out to mental health providers and they are not just unhelpful, they are truly harmful when it comes to getting help. Please save yourself the heartache I and many others have endured and go elsewhere.

My experience with Dr. Brian Pell deserves to be publicly documented so others know exactly what…read morethey are walking into. I booked an appointment specifically for an ADHD assessment, clearly stated as such. That was the entire purpose of the visit. Yet, during the call, Dr. Pell casually informed me that they are not conducting ADHD assessments at this time and may resume, possibly in January or February of next year. This immediately raised a red flag: if you are not offering the service, why accept an appointment for it? Why bill insurance for something you never intended to provide? The entire interaction lasted 18 minutes, and not a single part of it resembled an evaluation. Instead, we spent the bulk of the time discussing my career. He asked about my former psychiatrist's nationality; he seemed very interested in why he didn't take insurance "as a Black doctor" (which I perceive as a common conflation between race and poverty). He then asked only two quick, surface-level questions about why I was seeking an ADHD assessment. Then in the same breath that he told me they are not doing assessments, he also told me that I probably do not have ADHD. He said this despite the fact that I was coming to him for a second opinion after already completing a comprehensive, legitimate ADHD evaluation with a diagnosis from an actual specialist. (I did not share I was coming in for a second opinion, as I didn't want it to be biased). He provided no testing, no structured questions, no clinical methodology, nothing that even remotely resembled evidence-based practice. The whole thing felt dismissive, and frankly, like a complete waste of my time. I left the appointment feeling misled and deeply uncomfortable, as insurance had been billed for a service that was never delivered. If you are seeking serious mental health care, diagnostic clarity, or responsible clinical practice, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This experience felt unhelpful and entirely out of alignment with what any patient should expect from a licensed provider.

She's a HUGE fan of the up-sell. Don't go there looking for a psychiatrist because you won't get it. What you will get, however, is her attempt to use TMS, DNA studies and EEG's. They will do absolutely anything to charge your insurance and make as much $$$ as they can. She tends to disappear and, in my situation, when I finally got in contact with her after quarantine, she told me (and this is a direct quote) that she'd "given up on me." She also accused me of missing appointments, when I didn't. I can't imagine *ANY* doctor telling one of their patients that they "gave up on (them)." They also charged my insurance for an office visit when all I did was send in a refill through my pharmacist. They're investigating her for fraud. Oh....and her husband that works the front desk? Worthless. Works with patients far too much and he's no doctor. Find ANYONE else. Literally. Anyone. Find a bum in Times Square to talk to. They'll be more reliable.
